Add WBA To List Of Clubs Pursuing Ameobi

The Evening Chronicle today is reporting that West Bromwich Albion are ready to grant Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi his wish of staying in the Premier League.

Shola Ameobi – lots of clubs pursuing him

New Premier League club WBA want to take the former England Under-21 international to The Hawthorns, and it’s been rumored for a few days now that WBA would like to sign the player.

Shola is currently on his honeymoon, and WBA will contact him when he returns next week.

But there are lots of clubs interested in Shola, including Norwich City, Ipswich Town, Hull City, Stoke City and maybe even others.

There is news almost every day that another club is interested in the Newcastle striker, and that’s because nothing will be done until Shola returns from his honeymoon.

Only yesterday, there was news that Norwich City were interested, but with so many clubs in for Shola, Newcastle should be able to ensure we get the full £4M we are asking for Ameobi.

He would be especially valuable to the newly promoted sides, Hull, Stoke and WBA, all of whom seem to want the player.

Shola has stacks of experience playing the Premier League and he would be a good buy for any one of the clubs pursuing him.

Shola would like to move so he is still near Tyneside, but we also expect he would like to continue playing in the PL.

Shola will also want maintain the current substantial wage he’s getting at Newcastle, particularly after just being married.

So the young boy has some decisions to make when he returns next week, but we think he will quickly move to another club, once he does get back on Tyneside.

Comments welcome.

Koren would be a good deal but as there in Prem they wont do that, hopefully just let him go for around4 mill that’ll be great.

After hearing everybody up hear saying how rubbish he is, Im not so sure I really want him at the Albion, in fact do we really need him as we already have Miller, Moore and Bednar. Maybe he is seen as a replacement for Phillips and Slusarski if one or both go.

I wish him all the best at which ever club buy him, just wish he would act like the shepherd and get the flock out of here.

    Taxi for Mr Stroller.

It would be interesting if it weren’t for the fact it is entirely untrue.

Good luck selling him for the price you want.

I assure you he won’t be coming to Albion.

Why on earth would Koren want to move to Newcastle? Boring style of football and definitely at best a mid table team.

I’m not taking the p*ss but surely Ameobi is worth more than 4m in this current market, considering the stacks of premiership experience – he’s almost invaluable to the newly promoted sides! Plus with all the current interest we should be able to whack on a couple of extra mil?

‘the young boy’ will be 27 next year. Time he got a shift in for the Toon, for himself, or for some other club.
