Kevin To Give Faye and Geremi Time Off

Two of our African stars will complete their world cup games this coming Saturday.

Faye and Geremi – smart boys – extra rest needed

As we reported earlier this morning, Geremi will be playing for Cameroon against Tanzania on Saturday.

At the same time Senegal International, Abdoulaye Faye, will almost certainly be lining up for Senegal, in their world cup qualifier with Liberia.

Newcastle’s squad are due back for pre-season training on Monday July 7th – that’s two weeks this coming Monday.

So we would expect Kevin to give our two African boys some extra time off – they’ve certainly deserved the rest, after a tough first season at the club.

Habib Beye retired from International football after the European Cup of Nations in January, so he’s been enjoying a nice long rest in the summer with his wife and family in Paris.

We expect our Player of the Year last season, is just itching to start training again in a couple of weeks.

Newcastle United are set to sign a new fitness coach before pre-season starts.

Finally, the Chronicle is reporting that Newcastle have been pleased with the high percentage of supporters who have taken advantage of the 10% season ticket discount offer, for those who pay up-front for the next three seasons.

It’s better this way because as the training sessions go by, a player will be coming in each week to lift the place and get the players buzzing. So by the time the season starts we will be WELL UP FOR IT!

what makes it even more funny is that kazenga was running down the stairs leaving as i went in, ive met him a couple times he said hi but he was in a quick rush, i thought i was a quick runner but boy that kids got pace

maybe he couldnt afford his work suit lol… so he stole it lmao

PSG : Digard a choisi Newcastle
    19 juin 2008 – Par Arnaud Demmerle

    Have we signed Digard?!?

Perhaps MA would give Wise a long time off as well. What does he do? Undermine the King. What has he achieved at NUFC? Nuffin!

Ok Geremi is proberlly nackered you know at his age he should be in the warmth with a pipe and talking about the “good old days” but i would like him to give long break to Smith too or offer him to clubs come on a club like Stoke or WBA would buy him for cheap.

Sounds like we are in for Digard. Translation from bablefish:

PSG: Digard chose Newcastle June 19, 2008 – By Arnaud Demmerle It was an open secret, the medium ground of the PSG Didier Digard (21 years, 16 matches of League 1 this season) leaves the capital one year only after its arrival. Bought more than 2 million euros in Le Havre, the Cornflower will engage for 3 years with Newcastle compared with 6 million euros, according to the British press. A sum that Paris should not refuse because according to Parisian Tuesday, the leaders of the PSG would have an envelope only of 15 million euros to make their shopping on the market of the transfers.
