Newcastle New Change Kit Released

Newcastle today introduced their new change kit for next season.

Michael Owen – the captain in the new change strip

Well it looks smart enough, but doesn’t it look too much like the Everton colors or even Chelsea?   But maybe that’s good.

We’re in danger of being called the Blues when we play away this season, since the blue isn’t the lighter blue we have in the crest.   😀

Here’s the new change kit for the goalkeeper with Shay Given posing – we like the look of this – with the old yellow, which used to be the International colors for goalkeepers – way back when I was a youngster. (1919).

Shay Given – in new goalkeeper change  strip

Take a look at it, and we’ll have a quick vote on whether you like it or not – poll is now active on the right. It will have to include both strips taken together.

Comments very welcome.

its a much nicer one than the away we had last season

I think we will have a nice home kit for next season, seeing that Mike Ashley is a sportswear giant and all! But i really like last seasons home kit

The new home kit will be introduced next summer – at which time we should also have a new sponsor. It’s a 2 year cycle.

Owen looks like he is dying inside. I bet he thought he would have secured a transfer to a Cl team by now. Thats what happens when you follow the money pal and now you have to stick it out!

you just have to look at the teams which wear nike and how nice there strip and training gear is,,arsenal and man united etc. its all a matter of opinion though.

this strip is minging and i think we will all look like charvas wearing it.

Ed harrison. people will not mistake us for chelsea or everton and we are in no danger of being callled the blues as this strip is clearly PURPLE

I can actually envisage the charva’s walking around northumberland street wearing this awful shirt with tracksuit bottoms tucked in socks, nike air max and a cap hanging off their scummy little heads.

they always smell of b.o too.

rid the world of charvas i say!

    sub human scum!

Yeah, more like “The Purples” Fiorentinas!

Like the shirt, but the colour not so much… We should have our home kit like that next year without a collar, it does my ed in…

Might get Arshavin on the back, could be a good omen!

jmc. for me personally i wouldnt like it if next seasons home shirt had the same design.

i dont like the badge being in the middle.

i prefer it on the side.

the last time we had the middle badge position before the one we have now was that awfull shirt we had during the kenny dalglish era.

it had the shield on the back.

    totally hideous!

That’s purple, and it’s an abomination. The black strip we had a few seasons ago was by far the best we’ve had for some time… even the maroon and blue one we had fairly recently was all right.

dont like it, looks like the same strip that dreamteam program used, harchester united or something, i suppose our club has been a soap opera for a while, so i see where they got the idea from.

better tha the light blue away strip of last year in my opinion.

would like to see a modified version of the old away shirt we had back in the good old days though, the claret(?) and dark blue one, arse had an away strip last season that reminded me a bit of it, i loved that away strip, brings back some good memories and i feel it’d be fitting to see an altered version of that in the near future.

    anyone agree?

People do really get a little funny about the whole blue / purple thing. I was recently developing a website in *exactly* the same colour as the strip :0) at the very last moment it was changed to something slightly different. Maybe the BBC got wind of the strip change and didn’t want a clash

    http://www.helpscheme.co.uk

I think the new away colours look fine. Though I would prefer to adopt another policy altogether. Have three strips.

    Black & White
    All White
    All black

Then mixing the tops / shorts if we really have to
