i recently down loaded the results of the premier league since it started and if you go on that alone why do people consider liverpool in the big 4 they have never finished second in the league toon has twice. they have only finished 3rd three times to our once so that makes us more successful. and also KK is the most successsful English manager in the premiership only one other english man has finished second that was Brian Little with Aston Villa i think the first year. Pointed this out to some scousers the other day it quietened them down a bit they aint as good as they think

more like 60 – 70 , our old team of entertainers would cost a fortune nowadays…….

IMO we should bid silly money for AT and AA if only to stuff the price up for whoever gets them , remember us forcing manure to part with a whole lot more cash for Rooney plus the positive publicity would be good and there would always be the chance of landing them.

I’m sure KK see’s these players and also has equally talented backup players to go for, they might not be well known but we will get the chance to form our own opinions of them.

welcome tom mo i support the toon aswell but despite this unfortunately you are not supporting 1 of the greatest teams in the world, even though youre supporting the greatest club

any way i thought i would give you a bit of info
last season s. allardyce came inn we got off to agood start beating bolton 3-1(allardyces old club) after that we had a few other decent results then things sterted to slow down and we lost to games 3-0 n 4-1 this is when the crowd startsd to get on allardyces back chanting: you dont know what youre doin after this it was heavily thought allardyce would be sacked but nothin happened then after a few games and a lot of criticism we got our act together n despite drawing and losing to blackburn the fans were fairly happy but the good performances did not last eventually things had to change and allardyce was sacked the immediate favourite was of course toon legend and all time record goal scorer alan shearer as you may have seen from goal or unlikely the film purely belter shearer admitted he would love the job though the board wanted some1 more experienced also we attempted to lure harry redknapp from the portsmouth job though our efforts were to be in vain mean while on thepitch we lost to man,u embarrisingley 6-1 other managers such as didier deschamps also expreeed an interest then the most shocking sports story of the yearwas announced (even making front page headlines) that kevin keegan aka king kev or the geordie messiah would be taking over the reins fans were extatic and a game which would habe sold 30,000 tickets had sold 50,000 in 2 or 3 hours a couple of weeks later dennis wise was confirmed as a director of the boardwhich began speculation keegan already han replacement unfortunately we got off to a bad start with keegan though after the innitial hick up we ended with a good finish beating teams like tottenham 4-1 and not surprisingley won the derby (for more info llok on youtube for TYNE WEAR DERBY) later it was announced joey barton would be arrested for 6 months

Tom mo – welcome and you’ve made a great choice of club to follow – here’s a potted overview.
NUFC are unique in english football – have’nt won anything since 1969 and got perilously close under KK last time. We demand good football – KK loves one touch of the ball played at speed. The new owner has been in place since last year, during which time he has got rid of the manager ( who was’nt his appointment ) and slowly but surely it has to be said studied everything about his purchase. This year the fans expect him to back KK as his appointment but we are not in european football competitions and although we can compete with salaries due to our financial power the top players all want euro games to show their wares to their international managers.
ALL NUFC fans desperately want the club to succeed and back the club with their hard earned cash. Anyway – watch from across the pond and hopefully enjoy!

Agree that after a major championships there are always players who do well and get sold at inflated prices… and then turn out to be rubbish. Anyone remember Karol poborsky? Or Salif Diao?

That said, i think this lad is the real deal. We’ll never know how close we were to getting him in Jan; all i know now is that there is no way he’ll come here.

He’s going for CL football. Either Barca or Chelsea if you ask me. (which i know no-one is!)

Yeah i agree all these scouts for big clubs must be all relaxing watching the TV not out there looking for talent.
