Amara Diane Wants Move To Qatar Club

Setanta Sports is reporting today that Amara Diane, the Paris Saint Germain striker, has decided he wants to move to the Al-Rayyan club in Qatar.

Amara Diane – wants to move to Qatar club

PSG have also disciplined their player for his recent outburst in the press, and for his absence from their first pre-season training session.

The Ivory Coast international had been scouted by Newcastle United, when he helped PSG to avoid the drop last season, but it appears he is not at the head of the Newcastle queue, and has decided to seek pastures anew.

The 25-year-old has agreed personal terms with Al-Rayyan, but then has criticized PSG for not allowing him to complete the £4M move.

Diane told Le Parisien:

“This club are okay to put €5M on the table for a transfer,” “It’s a very good sum. But Paris want three or four more. Is that normal?”

“Most of all if I stay here, next year I could leave for only €1M. They think I’m an idiot. So from my part I have given my word to go to Qatar.”

“From now I want to ensure my family’s financial future. And only a Qatari club can permit me to do it.”

So it looks like PSG have not yet accepted the £4M transfer fee, but those statements will hardly help Amara move on.

There are far better players than Diane out there. Good luck to him, but he wouldn’t be on my shortlist.

    Not fussed.

Wasn’t it Diane that said “Playing for Kevin Keegan is a dream” and then denied a week later.

Don’t care Amara. Off you go….

Never mind Leo, you do try to give people on the blog some credibilty but it just takes an idiot like Tam Toon to spoil the ambience.

Affelay has been mentioned by quite a few people on the blog (including me) I was under the impression that Arsenal were after him. He is a brilliant young player and whoever gets him will get a gem. I’d be surprised if he went for under 15m though.
