Viduka Back To Full Training Within 3 Weeks

July 12th, 2008 · 129 Comments

Kevin Keegan and the Newcastle club were given a boost last week when it was revealed that Mark Viduka will not need an operation on his troublesome Achilles heel injury.

Mark Viduka - operation not needed on Achilles heel

Viduka was given an injection for the Achilles heel problem late last season, and missed the last game of the season at Everton because of it.

Mark was back at Newcastle United’s training ground on Tuesday, after again seeing the specialist.

And it seems the injection he had has cured the problem, which it was feared could have sidelined the striker for another six months.

Of course if the injection hadn’t worked that would have been really bad news, because Mark could have had the operation 2 months ago, so it’s good the injection worked, otherwise we would have been after the specialist. :D

Viduka trained on his own last week, as Kevin put the rest of the squad through some punishing double sessions ahead of next Saturday’s friendly away to Hartlepool United.

We like to hear the lads have been training really hard, because we know they will be super fit next season, and they need to be for such an important season.

It looks like it could be the end of July before Viduka can return to full training - but given how things stood at the end of the season with the Australian, we’re sure Kevin and the medical staff are more than pleased with Mark’s current status.

kevin-keegan-viduka.jpg

Well done Mark - job done!

Viduka may be able to play in the pre-season game against PSV Eindhoven at St James’ Park on August 6th, although that may be pushing it a little bit.

We doubt he will be able to line up up for Newcastle’s opening fixture against Manchester United at Old Trafford on August 17th, which will be televised live around the world, but we know Mark is motivated, so you never know.

Mark played really well for Keegan from January on, once he regained his place in the side, and he has been glowing in his tributes of his new boss.

Viduka in his career has gone through the motions too many times in games, but that never seems to be the case when he plays for Kevin, because Keegan seems to be able to inspire the Australian, as he does nearly all of his players.

We hope Mark can get in a lot more games this coming season than last, and we wouldn’t be surprised if he has a cracking season, as long as he can stay fit, which with Mark is always the big question.

Comments welcome.

Can’t see him staying fit, I’m afraid. Hopefully he’ll play 10 or so more games this season than last, but he’s had injury problems his whole career, can’t see that changing at 32. It’s a shame cos he’s probably our most technically gifted player.

  • 3 bettyswollocks // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:28

no doubt he’ll break down again before the end of august and end up needing the op anyway. We can’t plan next season around the duke. If he is fit it is a bonus but we need a longer term solution.

  • 4 furrygiblets // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:32

    For how long though….

  • 5 normski1930z // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:34

Pavel Pogrebnyak that would solve this problem for about 8 to 10 million for a 24 year old….could turn out to be awesome….

  • 6 dougnufc // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:35

I like Viduka, shame that he is injury prone

  • 7 ELFER // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:36

He’s propably one of the best holding strikers the EPL ever had and I’m watching his old games and goals over and over…but I’m afraid I also think that his fittest days are gone…what a shame, but that’s the way the clock runs unfortunately.

We need a youngster, who got some ball holding skills and is big. My desire would be our swiss talent derdiyok, but let’s see…

Well we have now Bassong also on loan. Althought he is a left footed central defender, 22 years old and 1.87m big he could be (fi he impresses KK) our man for backup central defence and also our missing backup for enrique on the left!

  • 8 normski1930z // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:36

he holds the ball up well and brings others into play well but i just dont think he is anywhere near as mobile as he used to be….

  • 9 Sav // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:38

Shame, as he was saying he hoped to get a full pre-season in this year to help him stay injury-free but that’ll not happen now. He’s class, no doubt about it.

  • 10 normski1930z // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:38

elfer have you seen him play or not ???

  • 11 beye the great // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:39

if he gets injured at least it gives room for the likes of carroll

  • 12 ELFER // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:39

Well if we sign Bassong also it would be a double catch maybe (central defender backup / left fullback). But is it me only who thinks that youngsters are hungry yes, but that there is also a risk with taking too much not yet proofen players to the club?

We need one additional good and experienced central midfielder! I hope it will be INLER.

  • 13 ELFER // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:41

normski1930z: who do you mean? duke? sure I have seen him play and under KK he was producing very very good performances in my eyes!

  • 14 normski1930z // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:43

nah elfer am on about bassong??? av personally never seen him play…

  • 15 Alex // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:44

when fit he is the best CF at holding the ball in the premiership. Its a shame he is never fit for a long run of games , lets hope Carroll learns a lot from the guy in training.

  • 16 ELFER // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:45

ah, yes I watched some games last season of metz…but I must admit that I didn’t really remember his name, althought I think he also scored a goal? but I’m not sure anymore…but at the age of 22 surely promising and he also was included once in the france U21 squad!

But let’s trust KK…I’m sure he will be able to rate this lad and also keep in mind that he would be a very good buy while solving two of our problems (backup lb and cb) at once!!!

  • 17 Shearer#1 // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:48

He’s past his best & too injury prone. We should go for Anelka. Anelka, Owen & Martins would be capable of scoring 50-60 goals between them providing they all stay fit. Failing that, Eidur Gudjohnsen from Barca.

  • 18 ELFER // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:50

I always liked anelka but I think now that he has been at chelski his wages will be out of our capabilities…

  • 19 bettyswollocks // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:50

anelka is a nob and would cost a fortune. he would only sulk anyway

  • 20 normski1930z // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:54

sorry to keep banging on but me and punk skunk are convinced about Pavel Pogrebnyak i think he could be awesome 6ft3 good touch, mobile, quick ,good hold up play and gets goals 8 to 10 mill i think that could be the type of signing that would make the likes of the spuds and villas of the epl stand up and take notice…

  • 21 ELFER // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:56

you are absolutely right about Pogrebnyak, yes! and at the moment we only doing “low fee” transfers, so maybe there’s somithng cuking in the kitchen? ;-)

would be nice…but I think after the euro’s also other clubs are interested in him…wonder what wenger the voyeur (hehe, search on youtube) thinks about him?

  • 22 JR Lutterbach Habib // Jul 12, 2008 at 17:57

VIDUKA will score in Old Trafford.

    I’m sure about that! :)

  • 23 normski1930z // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:00

elfer he didnt play in the euros he was injured that was pavlachenko that played up front for russia….. he was also banned for the uefa cup final….i am hoping he has gone under the radar of the big clubs and we can just sneak in..

  • 24 ELFER // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:00

The DUKE of Newcatles scores against MANU - I luv it! ;-)

  • 25 ELFER // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:01

ah, you’re so right yes, pavlychenko! that would be a fantastic buy - don’t you think?

  • 26 HATE PRAWN SANDWICHES // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:02

WASTE OF MONEY!!! INJURED 60 -70% SEASON!! REPLACEMENT NEEDED ASAP!!!

  • 27 ELFER // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:04

calm downl prawn…yes it’s a shame he was injured and we hope he will stay fit this season to net some more exciting goals! But he won’t make all games and KK knows that also. I’m sure a longtime replacement is just around the corner.

  • 28 Graham // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:05

It will be September before we see him in the 1st team at the earliest. Fantastically gifted player, but never the fittest man in the world at the best of times.

  • 29 normski1930z // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:05

pavlychenko would probs demand a transfer fee now after the euros about 15 mill but am sure we could get Pogrebnyak for more like 8 to 10 mill and if he wasnt injured he would have played in front of pavlachenko at the euros…

  • 30 normski1930z // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:06

  • 32 normski1930z // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:10

and another thing Pogrebnyak is only 24 and still has alot to learn, i honestly beileve this guy could(god forbid me saying this) be our new shearer… i think hes that good..

  • 36 seetow // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:24

viduka has been the second best holding striker in the history of premier league, just behind big al ;)

  • 37 Maestro // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:26

    Great news, Viduka!

About Pavlychenko … Spartak general director Sergei Shavlo: “…we will not sell to a club who are not in the Champions League and do not represent a step up”

  • 38 9 Shearer // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:28

@normski1930z. never compare anyone to Shearer he is a legend an average of 20 goals per season. I would like Pogrebnyak to come but He cant hold that ball like Viduka the only match 4 viduka in EPL is Berbatov and we cant get our hands on him though he loves newcastle.

  • 39 Kaler // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:31

Carroll is no where near as good as Viduka yet, even if he is injury prone.

  • 40 51times // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:33

Andy - I would use Carroll too, let’s give him a chance. It’s not like we’ll achieve anything major this season anyway.

  • 41 HATE PRAWN SANDWICHES // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:39

  • 48 normski1930z // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:58

duff shud leave not n zogbia!!!!

  • 49 The Entertainers // Jul 12, 2008 at 18:59

When Viduka plays he offers a different dimension and a lot of quality. Without him we lack presence up front.

With his injury record we desperately need an extra striker. Shola should leave some day and Carroll is not quite ready.

Derdiyok would by high on my list at least

  • 50 figsdad // Jul 12, 2008 at 19:19

Nope come oct he will go missing again throughout the winter…

    Get rid…………

  • 51 normski1930z // Jul 12, 2008 at 19:30

  • 52 HATE PRAWN SANDWICHES // Jul 12, 2008 at 19:31

the problem is the entertainers is that how often does he play!!
we should just let zog play football thats all he wants!!

  • 55 normski1930z // Jul 12, 2008 at 19:46

i dont think n zog wants london nightlife i think he just wants to play in the left sided attacking midfield role which i personally think is his best position but having said that he has to perform to keep that birth…..

  • 56 Ashton // Jul 12, 2008 at 19:47

Viduka sucks he can’t bloody run ! too old too injury prone too fat and he is on 55k per week ! Get rid ASAP

Ashton - So? Shearer couldn’t run.

  • 58 Leo // Jul 12, 2008 at 19:59

he is a top striker like many agree but it makes it more the shame that he gets injured so much

  • 59 normski1930z // Jul 12, 2008 at 19:59

well am sorry 51times i have to agree with ashton, vidukas best days are definately behind him,if am honest i think over the space of the season he will play no more than about 50% of the games bcos he is very injury prone..

  • 60 51times // Jul 12, 2008 at 20:00

I agree that his best days are behind him, but he’s still one of the best when it comes to holding up the ball. We need another striker in his mould or we’ll be in trouble.

  • 61 Tom_Toon // Jul 12, 2008 at 20:01

    Great News!

Viduka is my favourite player at the club, hes also our most technically gifted player.

    C’mon the Duke!

  • 62 WIGAZ // Jul 12, 2008 at 20:03

This is good news lads! if we can keep him fit & he gets a good run of games he could be one of our players of the year next season, if viduka bangs in 15-20 goals & we qualify for europe then we can get a decent replacement for him! although i do think we should get the likes of gomez or derdiyok in as we cant rely on viduka being fit & injury free!

  • 71 normski1930z // Jul 12, 2008 at 20:55

51 times when i was younger i was a football hooligan as i have said in here before, when i look back and think about some of the things i have done i am ashamed and this is all bcos of my little boy, he changed my life from being a drunk coked up maniac to a down to earth guy with a beautiful wife (am lucky) and an even more beautiful baby boy… believe me mate it makes you take stock…..

  • 72 51times // Jul 12, 2008 at 21:00

Football hooliganism in Britain lacks any kind of substance. At least in Europe they usually have some sort of political leaning to them. I hear our firm isn’t what it used to be…a few lads I went to school with the other year are running around city centres on weekends now so I hear. With the way the police are now they’ll probably end up in trouble, and for what? A scuffle that barely lasts a minute. It must be a hollow life to lead.

  • 73 normski1930z // Jul 12, 2008 at 21:11

hey believe me 51 times at the time i was running around with about 50 guys and everyone of them was game as f*** but that was 10 years ago and the no1 barney i was involved in believe it or not was boro and i got kicked to f** after dishin out a really good kickin about an hour earlier but i was so high and covered in blood i didnt even feel it until the next day…but now i have lots of friends from teams like chelsea, boro, man city etc and it cush, no beefs at all thats just the way it goes….

  • 74 51times // Jul 12, 2008 at 21:20

I heard/read Boro have the top firm in the North East. I’ve been to Middlesbrough and I’m not surprised, what do those people have to do but fight. But to be honest I have no first hand experience with hooliganism, although I have had more than my fair share of fights in my lifetime. It’s surreal really, violence. It’s more than necessary at times though, some people just deserve to be kicked in or killed.

I can never really work out Viduka, bit of a Kluivert to me, has flashes of brilliance but theyre extremely few and far between! But if he gets 10 goals+ this season Id be happy with him.

  • 77 normski1930z // Jul 12, 2008 at 21:28

not killed kid plz never say that every hooligan i have ever met is up for a frisk but never any killings in saying that i went ti spurs years ago and looking for a frisk in north london and ended up walking into about 10 west ham lads and again got kicked to f** and they bounced a shopping trolley off me nut and woke up about 15 mins later…. still to this day dont know what happened…there is no doubt that boro have the top firm up here now….

  • 78 51times // Jul 12, 2008 at 21:30

Well it’s been reported a lot so I would assume we have. Does anybody know anything about him though? He doesn’t seem to much to shout home about, I’d prefer Jonny Evans.

  • 79 51times // Jul 12, 2008 at 21:35

I wasn’t referring to hooliganism, just in general some people deserve to die. It’s my politics really, there are many people I would string up to lampposts or burn alive. Perhaps you’ll take that as simple rhetoric or bravado, but with all of the massacres and genocides in history because of peoples beliefs and politics it’s not so crazy to believe. Not everybody is pleased with the current state of the United Kingdom.

Bah, I’m tired and ranting…time to go watch TV for a while and then bed.

Dukes is a legend, Im Aussie so a bit biased, but the balance of our whole team was so much better when Viduka was starting up front.

He holds the ball up beautifully and gives us a focal point in attack.

To criticise the big guy at his age for his injuries, and in some of the comments asking for him to be sold, is absolutely stupid.

He is a good pro, who works well with young players and is a leader, these are the types of players that you need in your squad. They make others better.

Ed. Do you have any stats where we can identify how many of Owens goals last season were scored in games when Viduka did not play??

  • 86 Warwick Hunt // Jul 12, 2008 at 22:36

It really annoys me when I read on here that he is tight and won’t spend, he is looking at the long term for our beloved team. It would be easy for him to chuck a load of money at big name players to appease these fans. Some even question him as business man, and lets face it football is a business these days, when he has an unquestionable ability to make money.
He has (or had cos he may have spent a bit) £1.8 Billion in the Bank, not including shares he has.
£1.8 Billion???? or £1,800,000,000.00p???? or 1,800 Million pounds???? The bloke is abosolutely minted and yet he goes to matches in the stands, wearing his colours with the rest of the Fans.
Kevin Keegan maybe the Messiah but this Guy was our Savior after the last regime we had.
Have faith and shame on you doubters.

HEY NORMSKI, VALDIVIA PLAYED A STARRING ROLE IN PALMEIRAS WINNING THE CAMPEANATO PAULISTA THIS YEAR . HE IS KNOWN AS EL MAGO, THE MAGICIAN, IN BRAZIL THAT IS HIGH PRAISE INDEED. HE WAS VOTED THE BEST NUMBER 10 IN BRAZIL. IVE HEARD A COUPLE OF GERMAN AND SPANISH CLUBS ARE LOOKIN AT HIM, THE LIKES OF HERTHA BERLIN, WERDER AND VILLAREAL, THE PRICE BANDED ABOUT BY PALMEIRAS IS 15MILLION BUT THEY ARE HEAVILY IN DEBT AND I RECKON A BID OF ABOUT 7 MILLION WOULD BE GOOD ENOUGH. HE REPORTEDLY EARNS £250 000 A YEAR WHICH WE COULD QUADRUPLE AND FIT NICELY INTO ASHLEYS NEW WAGE STRUCTURE. BUYING VALDIVIA WOULD ALSO HELP GUTTIEREZ SETTLE IN NICELY. I know Valdivia, he is a good player, i’ve mentioned him a few times before, a massive diver, a bad attitude and too agressive but a good playmaker with great dirbbling skill.

Hertha Berlin have been looking at him for ages as were Valencia and Deportivo, now as you say Werder and Villareal are looking at him.

viduka dosent score many he he way too lazy not worth a place in our team ditch him quick for dirdiyok or someone new plz viduka is dead wood.

  • 94 Neville Brewis // Jul 12, 2008 at 23:59

Good shout nezsurf, he is from the same country as the Robledo’s -legends at our club. Young Clarence Acuna was not bad either let us go for number 4- as you sound very convinced. Also if young Thomas has seen him and rates him-that is good enough for me!

  • 95 Richard L // Jul 13, 2008 at 0:04

Dukes will spend more time in Maccy Ds on Northumberland Street than the pitch at SJP this season. Shame, but we have enough quality to not need to rely on him (esp if we bring in another striker…)

  • 96 NEZSURF // Jul 13, 2008 at 0:14

TOM TOON, TOTALLY AGREE HE IS AGRESSIVE WHICH SUITS THE PREMIERSHP AND THE FACT THAT HE CAN TAKE ON PLAYERS AND MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN IN THE LAST THIRD IS WHAT WE ARE CRYIN OUT FOR. RONALDO DIVES ALL THE TIME AND IT WON THE GREAT UNWASHED THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, SO WE SOULDNT WORRY ABOUT VALDIVIA TAKIN THE ODD TUMBLE AROUND THE BOX.

  • 97 Tom_Toon // Jul 13, 2008 at 0:17

Nezsurf - I’ve seen both Ronaldo and Valdivia, and Ronaldo dives, but Valdivia super dives, one of the biggest divers i have seen to be fair.

Also how is the best defender in Brazil doing? -Thiago Silva

  • 98 HATE PRAWN SANDWICHES // Jul 13, 2008 at 0:38

    I thought T.Silva was a striker?

  • 99 Spyro // Jul 13, 2008 at 0:39

HPS you still ranting about MA?

  • 100 NEZSURF // Jul 13, 2008 at 0:41

HEY TOM, GOOD KNOWLEDGE, NEVER HEARD OF HIM. NEVILLE HAS A GOOD POINT ABOUT THE ADOPTED GEORDIE CHILEANS LIKE THE ROBLEDOS AND ACUNA. IN GENERAL THE SOUTH AMERICANS HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB FOR US LIKE MIRANDINHA AND SOLANO. SURE WE WILL GET THE ODD DUFFER LIKE BASSEDAS AND CORDONE.

  • 101 Tom_Toon // Jul 13, 2008 at 0:52

    You’ve never heard of him?!?!

Well he plays for Fluminense, not in Sao Paulo. Fluminense are quite shocking atm, but he is best CB in Brazil.

  • 102 NEZSURF // Jul 13, 2008 at 1:21

HEY TOM, NEVER SEEN PALMEIRAS V FLUMINESE, BUT IF U SAY HE IS THE BEST CB IN BRAZIL, WOULD HE PLAY WELL WITH TAYLOR. BRAZILIAN CB ARE NOTORIOUSLY POOR AS THEY TEND TO CONCENTRATE ON ATTACKING TALENT.

  • 103 holykev // Jul 13, 2008 at 2:10

i must admit. have just been on youtube and this boy seems to take goals effortlessley maybe he could be the new Shearer!

  • 104 Beattie // Jul 13, 2008 at 2:38

    stop using caps lock

  • 105 AndyNUFC // Jul 13, 2008 at 2:54

holykev i watched that whole video and the vast majority of his goals are from chances you’d expect any decent striker to put away. A replacement for Viduka isn’t somebody who just scores goals, its somebody with vision, touch, holding play, aerial presence.

  • 106 holykev // Jul 13, 2008 at 3:29

i seen that andy but if a striker doesnt need anymore than one touch, is that not a good thing? he rarely touches the ball before the nets a pinging! hopefuly with Mr Keegans love of wing play he would suit us fine! thats what i was thinking anyway.

  • 107 holykev // Jul 13, 2008 at 3:30

oh, and from the video it looks like he isnt lacking in the aerial presence!

  • 108 ObaFan2 // Jul 13, 2008 at 3:56

Pavel Pogrebnyak looks better than the forward they had @ the Euros imo but atleast 4 of his goals should have been offside ! lol.

Dukes has great vision and holds the ball well but age is catching him up :( Good news about the injury though.

Plz find cap lock button b4 more posts plz… :)

  • 109 holykev // Jul 13, 2008 at 4:07

i will take any goal… offside or not. every other twating club get away with it!

  • 110 harrier // Jul 13, 2008 at 4:40

NORMSKI - I am sorry. I think you misread my comment. If you go back I believe it was meant to read that if someone disagrees with what you were saying than they need their head checked.

  • 111 Shanghaitoon // Jul 13, 2008 at 5:52

have to say lads that I’m pretty appalled about the talk of hooliganism. violence and talk of people deserving to die on this thread. I for one think there is no place for any violence in football. This talk of hooliganism will associate our club with violence which must not be allowed to happen. really not please to read some of these comments!!

  • 112 Nick Dryden // Jul 13, 2008 at 8:44

It would be absolutely fascinating to have Viduka on this new pay as ypou play / performance related approach Ashley is trying to introduce.

  • 113 51times // Jul 13, 2008 at 9:08

gloryhunter - The hell is your problem you fascist, it wasn’t because of comments like that at all, it was fernando and some other lads arguing, I wasn’t even there you closet Nazi.

Shanghaitoon - Well I’m sure you hate any kind of talk that goes against the law or what your Government tell you, Communist China doesn’t like any kind of free speech.

  • 114 ronaldeano // Jul 13, 2008 at 9:11

My mate seen Anton Ferdinand at Sjp a few days ago (no lie) I recon that he will be the next player through the door. I dont rate him very much tho :(

  • 115 seetow // Jul 13, 2008 at 9:14

hahahahaha i never did know of any brazilian defenders who could play a decent game other than CRIS from lyon.. though breno did well for me in FM 08 but then again that’s a fantasy world ;)

  • 116 seetow // Jul 13, 2008 at 9:15

a fantasy world where i signed a team of unknowns for the toon and brought us back to the glory days, winning every single trophy on offer HAHAHA

  • 117 Davies // Jul 13, 2008 at 9:17

51 Times, you’re actually wrong about that. I remember the thread that got everybody banned, and Ed posted telling you to chill. U think he even said he’d emailed you to have a word. Some of the comments you make are just plain out of order. Just chill and stick to the football talk mate.

On topic, I think Viduka can still do a job for us when he’s fit. He’s by no means the best striker in the league, but his holding play makes him a perfect partner for Owen and Oba (more for Owen).

The three different types of attacker played at the end of the season is probably what got us so many points. Nobody knows how to deal with all three of them at once. Christ I hope he can stay fit.

  • 118 Nick C // Jul 13, 2008 at 9:42

Yeah 51T, you are like some political commentator spewing poison thru this blog. Why don’t you bore off someplace else? People on here just want to talk about NUFC…..

  • 119 Egar // Jul 13, 2008 at 9:49

    Spot on, Davies.

  • 120 Shanghaitoon // Jul 13, 2008 at 9:52

51times - I’m not Chinese. I’m English, A Geordie born in Newcastle. My government is your government!! and I didn’t say that I hate any talk against the law. I said that I deplore football hooliganism and any mention that poeple deserve to die. I don’t like this kind of talk or action being associated with NUFC.

  • 121 The Entertainers // Jul 13, 2008 at 9:54

Come on lads lets give the topic no more coverage.

51’s comments were very inapporpriate. However he does make some great comments from time to time, so lets all stick to what we do best and comment on NUFC and leave the other rubbish well alone.

    Respect the site

  • 122 Oba's Mum // Jul 13, 2008 at 10:37

I actually have more faith in us having a good performance when the duke plays, lets give him this season and then find a replacement for next year.

  • 123 WIGAZ // Jul 13, 2008 at 10:37

I must admit holykev that lad looks good! watched the vid & he just looks like an instinctive finisher not like vids but would love him in a toon shirt! have we actually been linked or you just putting him forward? i really think we should of tried harder for Ashton! he was the answer to replacing viduka & eventually i would think we could of held him next to Shearer, you def dropped a bollock there MA & dare i say it KK! i think we should try for Van nistlerooy, just pay him a nice juicy wage & if rumours are true that ronaldo wont play for them until he leaves then we’ll happily take 1 of the best strikers on the planet off your hands!

  • 124 toonoot // Jul 13, 2008 at 10:40

51times is up early. He must have wet the bed. He can dry himeslf with one of his political history assignments or one of his snowboard t-shirts. Hooligan? hahahaha. Rebel without a clue.

  • 125 gloryhunter // Jul 13, 2008 at 10:42

Thst’s rich, 51toss calling other people fascists :)

  • 126 DaveyG // Jul 13, 2008 at 10:49

I think if you ask any Boro, Celtic or Leeds fan, they will all twell you the same “Cracking player…..when he wants to play”. Also, thay all state that if he picks up a ‘niggle’ he simply will declare himself injured and not play! This is also why he has weight problems…………

Me, I think he is a cracking player also, and hope that he can stay fit and paly consistently all next season.

  • 127 51times // Jul 13, 2008 at 14:46

Well done you totalitarians, you have your Nazi police state blog. I will make no further comments at all, I’ll seek out other intellectuals to spend my time with.

And toonoot, I never said I was a hooligan. Clearly you lack reading comprehension. But I knew that anyway.

Enjoy your minimum wage job and council flat.

  • 128 harrier // Jul 13, 2008 at 15:47
