Aaron Spear To Complete Newcastle Move This Week

Good news today that Plymouth Argyle youngster Aaron Spear will finally complete his move to Newcastle United this coming week.

Aaron Spear – will join Newcastle this coming week for £250K

That’s after the clubs have agreed on a £250K transfer fee for the 15 year-old youngster, who has been termed the new Wayne Rooney, we hope he turns out that way.

The long-running saga, in which Newcastle beat off strong competition from other clubs, including Arsenal, will reach a conclusion with the 15-year old striker moving to Tyneside this week.

It seems that Plymouth Argyle were first offered £150K for their top youngster, but held out for more cash and a deal has now been made between the two clubs. This will be good news for Newcastle fans.

And it’s a big success for Dennis Wise, the Newcastle Executive Director, along with our new scout Lil Fuccillo, who we reported visited Plymouth in June to speak to Spear and his parents.

It was after that meeting that Spear decided that Newcastle United was the club he wanted to join, and told his friends down there that he would would chose Newcastle over all the other clubs that were after him, which also included Portsmouth and Everton, as well as Arsenal.

Spear, is currently on schoolboy terms at Home Park, and the current FA rules state his club are entitled to receive a fee if the youngster moves to another club.

We’re pleased this deal has been sorted out, at long last, and this could prove to be a significant signing for the club over the longer term.

Comments welcome.

alex…. you are joking right? 250k alot!! try theo walcot at 16 million quid at 17 yrs old. 250k is penuts in todays market, there are many youngsters out there younger getting snapped and its costing millions. 250k is nothing.

Theo Walcott joined Arsenal for an nitial fee of £5m, rising to a possible £12m.

Do you reall think Spears will play this season? He is 3-4 years away from breaking into the first team.

he’s only 15 but i think we’ll see something from him towards the end of the season like. i am worried though, youth is great to invest in but we need to pay more attention to the senior squad as otherwise i think we will be in a relegation dog fight all season long.

the only reason he hasnt played a first team game is coz he isnt old enough okay he might not be quite good enough to get in the 1st team yet but remember he still has another year at school and was already playing for the reservessurely if he keeps developing at this rate we can see at leas t make a few sub appearences in the next few years

    Guys,3-4 yrs awayfrom first team?
Why do players need to be 19 or 20?
If i remember correctly ROONEY burst onto the scene at 16,straight in from the youths.
A yr and a half or 2 n he will be getting on the first team 😉
