  Can’t believe Cacapa is starting ahead of Bassong. Taylor should stay after his last performance, let him build upon it, but I think Bassong has shown enough to get more than a bench appearance! Hopefully we’ll get a decent look at Lua Lua. Is there a limit to the amount of players on the bench? Or are people like Godsmark and Donaldson away in the tournament in Holland?

  Tom - Godsmark should be pushing to get in the team. I know KK doesn’t trust the kids too much but he was top in goals scored and assists for the reserves last year. He is just about the quickest at the club, that includes Oba. If he gets a chance he will take it i think.

  Tom - i’ve seen him play alot and when you think the ball has got away from him there is an explosion of pace which sees him get away from defenders. For me, he needs to be given a chance, he is on the small side but so what?? He is quick enough to avoid the rough stuff. Lua Lua is lazy and will not make it as a first teamer. These days you need to graft and there are better players than him.

  Bmore - that was Zogs fault, Cacapa was drawn to the man in front of him, that was Zogs responsibility to take the man behind him- if you compared the opta stats yesterday for all our defenders, Cacapas stats pro rata were by far the best - so get of his back - speak when you have the intelligence to warrant an opinion

  It was the WHOLE backlines fault, Taylor was nowhere to be seen and neither was Beye, Cacapa had to mark two players yes but he should have done better, and as i said earlier, zoggy is a horrific LB. WHy we aren’t playing Bassong or Enrique is a mystery

  Cacapa is the experianced defender, he should be able to deal with it. If Zog is out of position - which is likely as he is a midfielder playing in defence. Then he should be talking to him - as they do both speak french - and guiding him as to where he should be!

  For all the experince that he has - he never seems to communicate with the players around him, and if anyone needs a talking to then its Taylor

  Thanks, for the opta stats info - nice to know that Cacapa has the best pro rota figures in the 3rd worst defence last season. I think its a bit harsh on Beye to say Cacapa had the best stats….

  Cacapa fault…zog out of position….cacapa to fare away to make a challenge…leaving too much space behind him for forward to run in too…zog should have picked the runner up..thats why we need a proper left back…case rested…
