Is Faye Really Unsettled At Newcastle?

Just as Fabricio Coloccini looks set to join the club, Newcastle United’s Senegalese center-back Abdoulaye Faye, has become the subject of a £2M bid.

Abdoulaye Faye – is he unsettled on Tyneside?

The club bidding for Faye is newly promoted Stoke City, and if Newcastle are indeed willing to sell. there will be a lot of competition for Faye’s signature.

There are rumors that Abdoulaye is unhappy at Newcastle, but Kevin Keegan has said he doesn’t want to lose any of his current players, and Faye played really well in defense, during Newcastle’s last 10 games of last season.

The Daily Mail speculates that the player is unhappy at the club despite 22 appearances last season, and we hope that’s what it is – just pure speculation.

Faye has been nursing an injury since he returned to Newcastle a couple of weeks ago, and has yet to play in pre-season, and will not be fit enough for the game on Sunday at Old Trafford.

We’d be very disappointed to see Faye move, and right now we are trying to bring players in rather than let them go – as the squad is still way too small.

We need more players if we are really to launch a bid on the upper levels of the league this coming season.

And there’s still time to bring those players in before the end of the month.

I suppose he might feel undermined with Coloccini coming, as he will know that Taylor is the local hero and now Bassong has arrived too; it’s hardly a vote of confidence in him. Edgar too of course. But he did do well at the end of the season and he is one of our more resolute defenders. They aren’t too thick on the ground are they?

i do not understand why people keep stressing the fact we have a small squad?

has anyone checked the squad listings compared to the big 4? fair enough they out do us on class, but we have about the same amount of players as them, check sky sports or something guys, though still need a LB, CAM and CF.

Warnock on the way by the looks of it too, so thats one down, 2 to go, then see how things are shaping up at xmas.

    UP THE TOON

Just because faye has been out for a few weeks now just brings the amunition for the media for this, why would faye be unsettled? if its true, and its the competition of colocini he should bloody well toughen up.

I hardly think villa have the money for Milner unless they sell Barry. Faye most likely won’t be leaving. Ship Cacapa out if anyone, even Bassong is better than him.

    Edit:

By the way, just read Lawrensons predicitions for the season. He really is an idiot.

This is the same paper that claims that Milner was dropped by Keegan at the end of last season.

Erm yeh he was injured. Anybody with any knowledge of Newcastle would have known that.

Faye to Stoke doubt it but wudn’t mind too much if Colo comes. Milner to villa for 6 million…not going to happen!

Im hoping that we were watching Trejo at West Brom, he is going to be world class so we should get in there fast, after he destroyed us in Mallorca. (i wrote that on the thread but wouldn’t let me post cus of the usage exceeded or whatever)

Actually is Faye an asylum seeker who has been imported by Al Qheehda* with the sole aim of lowering property prices in the south east of England and desecrating the memory of Diana.

Hey it’s easy this sh*t-stirring knee-jerk, journalism lark, I could get a job at the Daily fail or the Express dead easy!!

*Hey I know I spelt it wrong, but when has lack of research, integrity or facts been a barrier to employment on a tabloid in Britain? Or if you have seen any of my other posts a knowledge of punctuation.

If I see the Daily Mail written on it I immediatly assume its made up, I sugest for all your sakes you take this simple approach as since doing this the world seemed a happier place for all.. 😉

I doubt theres much truth in this or anything in any paper. Bored hacks with nothing to write about so to fill column space………….. I know lets make up a story about newcastle with a player being unsettled or keegan about to go or club about to be sold. Sure won’t everyone believe its true.
