Newcastle A Top Club – We Wait For More – Mourinho

Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho thinks that Tottenham may be the team to replace Arsenal in the top four this season – and he’s still waiting for more from Newcastle, whom he calls a top club.

Jose Mourinho – Newcastle a top club, huge support and good players

We know Mourinho knows all about Newcastle, and of course he’s also been to St. James’ Park and seen and experienced the passion of the tremendous Geordie fans.

He knows all about Newcastle, mainly because of Bobby Robson, who mentored Jose, and probably bored the pants off him always talking about the Tyneside club he supported all his life.  😀

Jose talked on the www.feelfootball.com web-site and said today:

“I would put Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool as favorites again to win the Premier League – but regarding Arsenal, they also have a great team, but I’m not sure if the group has enough experience and quality to win.”“I see nobody else to win the Premier League, but Tottenham surely has the quality to fight for a top four finish.”

“I cannot really say who the surprise team will be – but year after year we always wait for a better Newcastle. They are a top club, they have huge support and they have good players, so we wait for more from them.”

Jose sounds exactly like a lot of Newcastle fans, who have been asking that question since Bobby Robson left the club, or did we actually sack the great man?

That probably tells you enough about the old management at Newcastle, and now with Kevin Keegan back sat the helm again, our hopes are high.

Although this summer, with no European football, it’s not been easy to attract the very best players.

But a good season for the club this coming year, and we’ll be in a lot better shape next summer at this time.

We have to look at this as a step by step process, since we’ve sunk so low since Bobby left.
