Tevez – two excellent signings for Newcastle United

And Carlos just doesn’t say they are good signings, but also thinks that Newcastle, under new manager Kevin Keegan, can finish high up in the Premier League this season.

All three of the Argentine Internationals will meet up this week for a friendly game against Belarus — but first of all they will meet in today’s first Premier League game of the season, at Old Trafford, which kicks off in about 90 minutes.

Carlos Tevez talked about the two Argentine signings Newcastle have so far made this summer to the Sunday Sun today:

“Coloccini and Jonas are two excellent signings for Newcastle,” “As Argentinians, I know them well, and I believe the pair of them will be great to watch in England.”

“Fabricio has got a lot of experience playing against big clubs and is very difficult to get the better of, especially in the air.” “And Jonas possesses enormous talent and great energy.”

“I am really happy about the arrival of more Argentinian players in the Premier League. It demonstrates the status of Argentinian football in the world.”

“Newcastle are difficult opponents to begin the season against, although our challenge is to win all our matches at Old Trafford,”

“I think they (Newcastle) can fight for a high position in the table. Kevin Keegan is a coach with much experience and the work he’s done this summer has been positive.”

“Last season, we beat Newcastle and scored a lot of goals, but the situation now is different.”

Carlos knows the two players extremely well of course, because of their play together for Argentina, so we hope he’s right.

And we’d be surprised if both Fabricio and Jonas don’t start today, against the European and Premier League Champions.

Come on the Lads!
