Keegan – Coloccini Fantastic Acquisition

We thought Fabricio Coloccini (what a name!) played extremely well yesterday in his debut and looked very accomplished alongside local boy Steven Taylor, who had also had another terrific game.

Fabricio Coloccini – fantastic acquisition

We had though before the game that Kevin would plsay Coloccini since he was keen to play and didn’t seem to be at all faxed it was Old Trafford – a very good sign for a player by the way.

But it turns out that Kevin didn’t have any choice since Claudio Cacapa was injured and Kevin had little choice:

Kevin talked to the Evening Chronicle today:

“I didn’t have any other option as I lost Claudio Cacapa through injury on Friday, but I didn’t have any worries about it.”

“Coloccini has only trained with the players once, but when you’ve played 20-odd games for Argentina, coming to Old Trafford won’t faze you.”

“I just told him to go out and enjoy it, which he did.” “He was saying it was very quick and that he could make more passes normally.”

“I think he’s a fantastic acquisition.”

Well he certainly looked a fantastic acquisition the way he played yesterday – that’s for sure.
