Bassong Delighted To Play At Arsenal

Newcastle United defender Sebastien Bassong has talked to Setanta Sports this afternoon, and he has said he doesn’t know what the status of his manager Kevin Keegan is right now.

Seb Bassong
– delighted to play at Arsenal

The news of course is that Kevin is no longer manager, but there is still nothing on the official site – not that the club have let the fans know much about anything over the last year.

Seb, who has been a great signing from Metz told Setanta Sports about playing against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, after he replaced the injured Jose Enrique before half time:

“To be honest, I don’t know if there will be a change of coaches,” “I have no idea of what is going to happen.”“I couldn’t wish for a better debut, if you forget the result of the game,” “Starting against Arsenal, in Emirates Stadium it will remain a huge memory.”

“I felt good even if I had to settle to a new league, and played on the left side of the defense. The lads have been great, as they made me feel comfortable.”

“We knew it would be tough if we let them play their style of football and their first goal changed the game, as it boosted their confidence. It was game over.”

“Of course it hasn’t been our best performance, but it’s part of the game and we have to forget this match in order to bounce back as soon as possible.”

The 22-year-old played at left back, but prefers center-back but we can see Seb playing at left back, with Milner now gone, we think N’Zogbia should be playing up front.

Seb continued:

“No doubt I will have my chance “I showed it during pre-season games and the coaches were happy with my displays.”

Bassong has also heaped praise on his new team-mate Jonas Gutierrez, one of the best buys Newcastle have made in a long time.

The Frenchman continued:

“He’s a tremendous lad, enjoying absolutely brilliant form,”

“He is sharp, strong, and technically talented, besides he is very funny and creates a great atmosphere within the team.”

Comments welcome.

With all due respect to the young player… there are some much more Important things going on right now.

Are we just talking, or doing?
    Fans or Sticks?

    Take a stand !

    don’t go to the games.

    don’t sign season tickets.

WE have to make a stand against these things.

They don’t say nothing to us, about nothing. we are always in the dark. They do not consider us as a factor.

take and make a stand !

A bit irrelevant at the moment, our club is yet again in turmoil and a joke to our and other teams supporters no wonder Keegan has blown his top.
We could have been dreaming of bringing the best players in the world to SJP if Ashley had sold to the Arabs. What a complete and utter selfish money orientated, i’m losing my temper.
