There are growing rumors that crisis talks were held this morning and that Kevin Keegan is reported to have walked out on Newcastle United.
Kevin Keegan – has he resigned?
We have to stress that this is NOT confirmed and it’s a natural; rumor this morning, becasue Kevin must have felt disappointed that only two new players were brought in yesterday, when we lost one of our best players last Friday, in James Milner.
Kevin may also feel he has let the fans down, because he said judge us at the end of the transfer window, and things are not as good as most fans would have liked.
To us Kevin Keegan is Newcastle United right now, so we hope this is not true.
If it is – the club will probably make a short statement on their official site, but that will leave us in terrible shape.
There is nothing confirmed, and we hope it’s just another made up rumour.
Comments welcome.

Comment #43Why can’t you lot see that Keegan walking is his own fault and no one elses. If Keegan loves the club as much as he says he does why leave now when we need a manager? Keegan is and always has just been about Keegan and no one else. You have all bought into the hype and cannot see that him walking now would be a massive betrayal of the club. If he is unhappy then by all means look for another job, but wait until we have a successor before going. To go now would be a disaster. I never thought I’d say this, but Keegan must stay for the good of the club.
If this is true and I’m 70% sure it’s bollox then Keegan is not a man he is a cry baby. No one person is bigger or better than NUFC that includes the owner, manager and the players. It should always be what is best for the club and Keegan walking in a hissy fit like a little girl is not what we need.
KEEGAN GROW SOME BALLS AND STAY.

Comment #46NO PLZZZZZZZ, we need u KK.
there are no any good manager for us at the moment, a new manager come, they like their own player, which we need buy again, waste time and money…
Now KK just stay and wait until Jan then buy some player which position is short, give KK 3 years, he can brings us success.

Comment #47Keegan is now 1/2 on to be the next manager to leave his club on Betfair.
“he didnt agree with the milner shouldnt have said it was his decision. ”
That was speech was Management Speak for I didn’t want this to have happened and I can’t say that I didn’t want that to happen. It was clear from hearing Keegan saying that that it wasn’t his decision at all.
If Wise does get the job in the dugout then I would hate to think what his reception would be.
If all this is true then I can see this driving Keegan out of football for good. Which is going to be as unforgivable.

Comment #50Keegan needs money and control and trust from his chairman. He got nothing. The people running this club are doing a pis poor effort. Selling players and only buying a bit when we already have a very thin squad.
No matter who comes after Kevin he will be doomed to be hated by the fans because Keegan is the King!

Comment #52we dont know what has been going on. but IF wise and co. are deciding who we buy and sell and keegan is being put out there like a puppet to feed us lies to appease us (i don’t know this, just what i think could be happening) then can we blame him for walking? if my boss did that to me i sure as hell wouldn’t be taking that crap.

Comment #56i think we all know deep down it is true, no matter how gutting that is for us all. i totally echo the sentiments of westoon is post 14
but instead of boycotting the hull game, why dont we use it to sing KK’s name as loud as we can and let this board know exactly where our loyalties lie?? or will we do that tonight after KK’s departure is announced
if this turn out to be true, i’m officially on the “sack the board” bandwagon. gutted, betrayed, let down…some of the many things im feeling

Comment #58ALL behind KK. Kick that Wise Arse out of the door with his London cronies. Without KK we will be at the mercy of these dick heads both in side and outside the club. We need to demonstrate our support for KK and the team in no uncertain terms. Burn the Daily Mail etc outside St James.

Comment #59If this happens it cannot happen at a worse time, start of season when Team is doing quite well we got 4 Points which is good from 3 games, we have 2 new players but i wouldnt bare a grudge with KK as Ashley has been a twat about the Budget you can keep changing how much he gets, and now he couldnt even spend the 12million from Milner :(.
IF THIS IS TRUE IT WILL RUIN OUR TEAM THIS YEAR AND IT WILL BE ANOTHER CRAP YEAR.

Comment #60i no that M A isnt n e 1s favorite guy this mornin but lets look at the facts ….
1 this club was in shit state b4 MA took over
2 he hired a recruitment team who may not hav brought vast numbers in at the club but have been quality sighnings non the less
3 we cant attract big players as we are not in europe that is neither kevin wises or m a fault
4the wow sighning sounds like it was a visious rumour that a fan wrote hoping to cause trouble and discontent and it sounds like hes succeded
5 and finaly look at aston vila they look an awsum side and its taken randy lerner 2/3 years to buy players ints beensteady and noticeable progress which is what newcastle united need to do M A isnt stupid he knows that throwing money at a problem isnt always the solution ala freddy shepherd i to am disapointed that we didnt sighn a robiniho type player but he is unprooven in england and may b a flop (fingers crossed eh 🙂 cummon the toon

Comment #61Could anyone really blame KK if he has resigned? He has been made to look a fool by the club over the sale of Milner and his comments about bringing new players in. He has not been backed in the transfer market, indeed, it has been speculated as to what role he has in the acquisition of players. He has been left with a seriously depleted squad that only managed to avoid a relegation battle by the skin of its teeth last season! Why should he want to stay??? Meanwhile our owner seems content to flaunt the law at away games and have a laugh but not invest in the first team! He’s a brave man if he thinks he’ll still be able to have a carry on with us lot after this debacle…and dont even get me started on Wise! He is in charge of recruitment, he hasnt done his job, he should be sacked. Simple as!

Comment #65I dont see any truth in this at all.
Everyone just keep your pants on yeh. Yes transfer dealins didnt go as flash as we would have liked but it wasnt all that bad, not bringing in alot of new players gives the current crop time to gel, thats what sparky did at blackburn and it works.
Keegan hasnt walked out aload of gash.

Comment #69I didn’t think it was possible to hate Barton anymore than I already do, but if he is the reason for Keegan’s resignation then he must be terminated (and i don’t just mean his contract).
Barton is ripping this club in half and for that reason alone he should have already gone.

Comment #71please dont leave kevin keegan, we all love you, its mike ashley and his 3 wise men that we dislike at the moment, not you
it was quite clear that money WASNT available because he always stressed when we sold someone that it is good because it free’s up some cash to buy players, if cash was available he would not say such a thing

Comment #72I have no idea what’s going on anymore. You just couldn’t make it up, people wonder why were a laughing stock ? This is why !!!!!!!!!!!
The squad IMO is in better shape now than it has been for a while, I’m worried about the size but aint we all….
I’m just lost for words, I really am, MA you need to explain whats going on because regardless of what’s going on behind the scenes, I feel it’s your head people like Daiv will be after, whether it’s your fault or not.
And i’m not even discussing that, I ain’t got the energy.

Comment #74Ed Speed – have that same feeling in my gut mate. We have all been sucked into the media frenzy. Maybe this is true but the way its being reported, and the way some fans are responding, all adds to the “soap opera” tag we’ve got. We really need a match to focus on, some goals to celebrate, a team on the pitch to support with pride.
When will this end?

Comment #80This is a mess regardless of whether there is any substance to the rumours circulating.
Dennis Wise is one of the least popular figures in modern football and he is trying to drive our recruitment – what chance do we have?
I hope that KK stays and MA has the foresight to get rid of ND (Nasty Dennis) as he seems to have achieved nothing but friction since he was appointed.
I have missed 10 home games in 25 years and if Wise is our next manager I doubt I will see 10 in the next 25 years.
I hope this is not true. If it is I am disgusted in what our club has become – a southern club run by southerners with only one geordie on the pitch!
