Has Keegan Resigned At Newcastle?

September 2nd, 2008 · 888 Comments

There are growing rumors that crisis talks were held this morning and that Kevin Keegan is reported to have walked out on Newcastle United.

Kevin Keegan - has he resigned?
We have to stress that this is NOT confirmed and it’s a natural; rumor this morning, becasue Kevin must have felt disappointed that only two new players were brought in yesterday, when we lost one of our best players last Friday, in James Milner.

Kevin may also feel he has let the fans down, because he said judge us at the end of the transfer window, and things are not as good as most fans would have liked.

To us Kevin Keegan is Newcastle United right now, so we hope this is not true.

If it is - the club will probably make a short statement on their official site, but that will leave us in terrible shape.

There is nothing confirmed, and we hope it’s just another made up rumour.

Comments welcome.

i can’t believe this. sack the board

  • 3 James // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:08

We signed 4 players behind his back (Gonzalez, Coloccini, Gutierrez, and Xisco) and sold one he told the board not to sell (Milner).

I said it at Christmas, that KK’s support of Barton would end up forcing him out the door because Ashley wants Barton out. Barton got Fat Sam the sack and he’ll get KK kicked out too. If not today then in the foreesable future.

Is this the secret WOW signing then?

if this is true then we have to get ashley out before he ruins this club.

i hope it is not true, but ever since we sold milner i have thought this was inevitable

  • 15 mozza // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:13

this just gets better and better, when will our club be run properly, without rumors fuled by poor leadership and communication as well as the undermining of managers and to think people yesterday were saying how well they thought the new regime has done, what a joke. I said we would know where we stand with the new regime by 12 last night and now we do and it leaves me deeply uninspired

  • 16 ANDYGLOSTOON // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:14

KEV IS THE AMBASSIDOR TO OUR CLUB.I AM PROUD HE IS OUR MANAGER AND I GOD ONLY HOPE THAT THIS IS A RUMOUR

  • 17 magx52 // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:14

It just makes me wonder what the hell Denis Wise ansd all his cronies have been doing all summer. If Keegan was in charge of recruitment I think we would be alot more satisfied with our transfer window activities as he loves our club with a passion that he instills in any potential signings. Stay in London Denis and let the main man get on with what he’s good at and you haven’t got a clue about…………Kevin Keegan IS Newcastle United

    AAARRRRRRRRRRGGH!

  • 19 Tom4Nufc // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:15

I think if Keegan has gone, we have to complain and make ourselves heard, we need to make Ashley sell up, and then the New owner get our King back…. He was promised 100’s or millions, and we ended up spending under 10m net, it sickens me…… really sickens me, please to God, dont let Kev go, make Ashley sell…. PLEASE!!!

  • 20 MichaelA // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:16

James, that’s some canny reliable info right there. Or maybe not, you didn’t include guthrie behind his back why? he’s english so Keegan must have wanted him. That gutierrez and coloccini were though, because most people had never heard of them.

Get a grip man, I’m a big fan opinion not random comments stating facts you can have no way of knowing their validity. Unless you read the papers of course then you must know for sure.

I’m not saying these are rosy times, far from it. but facts are the very thing we know nothing about, and that is part of the problem.

  • 21 shiggy // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:17

    Answer.

Ashley should look for a more suitable purchaser. I think he has went in with his eyes closed when he bought the club, not realising the financial needs to make a club both popular with the fans and successful.

I hope Kevin Keegan hasnt walked and if Dennis Wise does get installed, i think there should be a no attendance gate at SJP in protest.

However as it is pure speculation at the moment…

Where was Keegan with his new signing???

  • 25 carl // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:18

I posted on here around a month ago that there was problems between KK and MA and that it would blow up. I was shouted down as if I was some sort of heretic that was Blaspheming against the mighty KK. I was told that people like me werent real fans.
I was actually told that if I didnt have anything positive to say I shouldnt say it.
What I pointed out was that there was clear friction between KK , MA and Dennis wise etc…
and that it would lead to KK walking out. It may not happen this time but people are blind if they cant see the clear problems now! And that isnt being negative its just the fact!

  • 26 Bosck // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:18

This was in the Daly Mail, hardly a high source of concrete fact.

IF Keegan has walked out i will personally be more annoyed with keegan, as that is not the way to deal with conflict, but personally dont think there is any substance to it.

As for signing the four players behind keegans back james that is complete tripe.

Also if it is true calls keegans integrity into question as if he didnt agree with the milner shouldnt have said it was his decision.

personally though i think it is utter B*****X, course there’s a press conference this afternoon. there is 2 new players to introduce to the press!!

  • 27 MMNUFC // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:18

Remember people the people who just bought Man City were in for us but he MA knocked them back!

  • 31 Toonio // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:21

I wouldn’t blame Keegan if he walked out, the club is counting the pennies and showing very little ambition, while clubs around us take leaps forward. I’m sick of men in suits ruining the club and what is stands for. I’m pissed off and on my way to deliver a brick through a Sports Soccer window.

  • 32 k-man // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:21

  • 38 mozza // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:24

tto put things in perspective we have rooted around the bargain basement while citeh placed bids in excess of 300 million euros yesterday, i know we can’t compete with this, but this years transfer window to me looks like a board who will be happy with mid table pish so they don’t have to risk buying to compete at the other end, which is a disgrace, lets milk the thick geordie cash cow eh they’ll support no matter what and heres a thought if KK does leave which is highly possible who takes over “wise ?”

  • 39 sweendog // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:25

Total paper lies .. everyone knows keegan wanted 3-5 players .. he got 2 .. so theres going to be friction .. if there heads to roll Wise has to go .. it seems like KK and MA get on .. so get rid of the loose cannon, or the expendible midget that messes up contracts..

  • 43 Micky Toon // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:26

Why can’t you lot see that Keegan walking is his own fault and no one elses. If Keegan loves the club as much as he says he does why leave now when we need a manager? Keegan is and always has just been about Keegan and no one else. You have all bought into the hype and cannot see that him walking now would be a massive betrayal of the club. If he is unhappy then by all means look for another job, but wait until we have a successor before going. To go now would be a disaster. I never thought I’d say this, but Keegan must stay for the good of the club.
If this is true and I’m 70% sure it’s bollox then Keegan is not a man he is a cry baby. No one person is bigger or better than NUFC that includes the owner, manager and the players. It should always be what is best for the club and Keegan walking in a hissy fit like a little girl is not what we need.
KEEGAN GROW SOME BALLS AND STAY.

  • 46 YongFC // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:27

NO PLZZZZZZZ, we need u KK.

there are no any good manager for us at the moment, a new manager come, they like their own player, which we need buy again, waste time and money…

Now KK just stay and wait until Jan then buy some player which position is short, give KK 3 years, he can brings us success.

  • 47 Malc // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:28

Keegan is now 1/2 on to be the next manager to leave his club on Betfair.

“he didnt agree with the milner shouldnt have said it was his decision. ”

That was speech was Management Speak for I didn’t want this to have happened and I can’t say that I didn’t want that to happen. It was clear from hearing Keegan saying that that it wasn’t his decision at all.

If Wise does get the job in the dugout then I would hate to think what his reception would be.

If all this is true then I can see this driving Keegan out of football for good. Which is going to be as unforgivable.

  • 48 mitch // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:29

    where’s our dear Ashley supporters?

  • 50 Oliver // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:29

Keegan needs money and control and trust from his chairman. He got nothing. The people running this club are doing a pis poor effort. Selling players and only buying a bit when we already have a very thin squad.

No matter who comes after Kevin he will be doomed to be hated by the fans because Keegan is the King!

we dont know what has been going on. but IF wise and co. are deciding who we buy and sell and keegan is being put out there like a puppet to feed us lies to appease us (i don’t know this, just what i think could be happening) then can we blame him for walking? if my boss did that to me i sure as hell wouldn’t be taking that crap.

i think we all know deep down it is true, no matter how gutting that is for us all. i totally echo the sentiments of westoon is post 14

but instead of boycotting the hull game, why dont we use it to sing KK’s name as loud as we can and let this board know exactly where our loyalties lie?? or will we do that tonight after KK’s departure is announced

if this turn out to be true, i’m officially on the “sack the board” bandwagon. gutted, betrayed, let down…some of the many things im feeling

  • 57 mitch // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:32

definatly no players recruitment team must go MA get rid of KK and you can kiss goodbuy to any profit this I swear if he goes relagation here we come

  • 58 Ericles // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:33

ALL behind KK. Kick that Wise Arse out of the door with his London cronies. Without KK we will be at the mercy of these dick heads both in side and outside the club. We need to demonstrate our support for KK and the team in no uncertain terms. Burn the Daily Mail etc outside St James.

  • 59 gorskino10 // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:33

If this happens it cannot happen at a worse time, start of season when Team is doing quite well we got 4 Points which is good from 3 games, we have 2 new players but i wouldnt bare a grudge with KK as Ashley has been a twat about the Budget you can keep changing how much he gets, and now he couldnt even spend the 12million from Milner :(.
IF THIS IS TRUE IT WILL RUIN OUR TEAM THIS YEAR AND IT WILL BE ANOTHER CRAP YEAR.

  • 60 ben // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:33

i no that M A isnt n e 1s favorite guy this mornin but lets look at the facts ….
1 this club was in shit state b4 MA took over

2 he hired a recruitment team who may not hav brought vast numbers in at the club but have been quality sighnings non the less

3 we cant attract big players as we are not in europe that is neither kevin wises or m a fault

4the wow sighning sounds like it was a visious rumour that a fan wrote hoping to cause trouble and discontent and it sounds like hes succeded

5 and finaly look at aston vila they look an awsum side and its taken randy lerner 2/3 years to buy players ints beensteady and noticeable progress which is what newcastle united need to do M A isnt stupid he knows that throwing money at a problem isnt always the solution ala freddy shepherd i to am disapointed that we didnt sighn a robiniho type player but he is unprooven in england and may b a flop (fingers crossed eh :) cummon the toon

  • 61 a mothball from Ashleys wallet // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:34

Could anyone really blame KK if he has resigned? He has been made to look a fool by the club over the sale of Milner and his comments about bringing new players in. He has not been backed in the transfer market, indeed, it has been speculated as to what role he has in the acquisition of players. He has been left with a seriously depleted squad that only managed to avoid a relegation battle by the skin of its teeth last season! Why should he want to stay??? Meanwhile our owner seems content to flaunt the law at away games and have a laugh but not invest in the first team! He’s a brave man if he thinks he’ll still be able to have a carry on with us lot after this debacle…and dont even get me started on Wise! He is in charge of recruitment, he hasnt done his job, he should be sacked. Simple as!

I dont see any truth in this at all.

Everyone just keep your pants on yeh. Yes transfer dealins didnt go as flash as we would have liked but it wasnt all that bad, not bringing in alot of new players gives the current crop time to gel, thats what sparky did at blackburn and it works.

Keegan hasnt walked out aload of gash.

I didn’t think it was possible to hate Barton anymore than I already do, but if he is the reason for Keegan’s resignation then he must be terminated (and i don’t just mean his contract).

Barton is ripping this club in half and for that reason alone he should have already gone.

Ed Speed - have that same feeling in my gut mate. We have all been sucked into the media frenzy. Maybe this is true but the way its being reported, and the way some fans are responding, all adds to the “soap opera” tag we’ve got. We really need a match to focus on, some goals to celebrate, a team on the pitch to support with pride.

This is a mess regardless of whether there is any substance to the rumours circulating.

Dennis Wise is one of the least popular figures in modern football and he is trying to drive our recruitment - what chance do we have?

I hope that KK stays and MA has the foresight to get rid of ND (Nasty Dennis) as he seems to have achieved nothing but friction since he was appointed.

I have missed 10 home games in 25 years and if Wise is our next manager I doubt I will see 10 in the next 25 years.

I hope this is not true. If it is I am disgusted in what our club has become - a southern club run by southerners with only one geordie on the pitch!

  • 85 samthecat // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:42

What should happen is that Ashleys hands KK a transfer budget and KK gets on with spending it.
This is what he wants and it clearly hasnt happened-out of the 36 names handed in as targets by Keegan he got 1 in Guthrie.
Throughout the transfer window it seems Jimenez/Wise/Vetere have been in complete control of transfers.

Just thought i’d say that i’m feeling a bit more confident than the rest of you seem that this is a load of bollocks. A major reason for that is because it seems this big exclusive was broke by non-other than regular shite hawks the daily mail. As a point of reference they also said Owen was leaving for £2 million this summer, which seemed just a laughable a read at the time as it turned out to be.

If i’m way of the mark then don’t i look stupid, but i’m not jumping to any conclusions is all i’m saying. Poor KK is probably just having a lie in!

  • 88 Steven // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:43

yes, KK IS NUFC!! There is no other.

  • 89 BenjiToon // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:43

If there’s one thing our club needs its someone in its hierarchy who understands what the Toon means to the area, what football means to us. At the moment that man is KK. He can NOT be allowed to go.

  • 90 Micky Toon // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:44

It is not MA’s fault, it is KK’s fault.
You lot are daft. Even if we spent £100m this summer he would still spit his dummy out in a year or two’s time.
Keegan stay until we get someone who can handle the pressure.

However if Wise is appointed as manager I will personally walk the 250 miles to St James and punch Ashley in the face.

And to be fair it would be Wise who else could we get there no one out there we can get that WILL COME after seeing the lack of money from Ashley.
Once again if this is true which i hope not then Ashley SHOULD SELL he making our club look a circus

  • 101 Micky Toon // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:50

Will you lot stop being so soft. How many other managers would walk if they weren’t allowed to spend the owners money?
    Answer none.
Since when did a blog decide how NUFC is ran? Answer never. If keegan walks again and leaves us in the crap for a second time as he did last time then he doesn’t deserve your love.

  • 102 ToonFaith // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:50

Its on the BBC website that KK is meeting with the board amid speculation he is leaving.

  • 103 ToonRich // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:50

I wonder if there is another Arab group watching this, thinking we can give the fans what they deserve…

I will be happy for KK to stand down, but only if it’s because of the board (I want him(KK) to stay).

You might think spending silly money on players wont work, but think about it…KK wouldnt waste money like that - given the backing he’d create a monster of a team :) but I doubt he’ll get the chance now :(

    so its just a rumor

  • 106 Bosamuelson // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:51

    Oh come on please

what is the point. We got in some good players, some very good players. The whole time KK was pulling out the chesnut ‘if theres no quality we won’t be signing’, you cant argue with that. All we go on about is WOW bloody signings we want this and that, that club are doing that…etc. etc. Where has it got us, here and know having to rebuild. If we put a 30mil bid in for anyone they would laugh at us, purely becausethey would be a world class player coming to a non European team.

As for KK leaving, well ok yes he’s a great manager and a legend, it is all at the moment speculation. I say again SPECULATION. What have we learnt from this summer. DO NOT, I say again DO NOT believe the press, this all stemmed from (correct me if Im wrong) the Daily Mirror. I mean come on get a grip.

And what if he did jump ship, he is cutting his nose of to spite his face, this maybe not what you may want to here, but what a pathetic kid. I want this and that, right thats it im not playing. Oh come on, its the same as a player if you aint got your heart in the club then do one. Its like Berbatov, I want to play for Utd….I wont play for Spurs and Ill be in a grump until I play for Utd. I want this player…Ill spit my dummy out and leave if you dont by me it.

    How old are ya…

“But you promised…” Yea but I didnt know we had another 70mil debt (maybe he did at the time I dont know), look my point is things change, its Ashleys money and he has brought us a hell of a long way since Sheperd.

Im not saying I will be happy about if KK leaves, but if he does, its his loss as much as the clubs and I will loose all respect for him I had.

    Regards

This news more than anythign else has really peed me off. Like I said just when we need him the most Keegan disappears. What a great example of leadership and getting stuck in.

I still think it’s bollox and it’s stirred everyone up over nothing.

  • 112 Luke // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:53

It looks like we have one more day of anxiety to add to yesterday.

Listen: firstly we don’t know the facts so stop with the I hate MA stuff. It’s tedious. You all KNOW for a fact that he saved the club from brankruptcy. That our precious club is even here is something to be grateful for. Yes, I mean that and have a good think about the contrary.

Keegan said we had money PRIOR to selling Milner and that he hoped to get a replacement. We have clearly been knocked back in our attempts to sign replacements. It happens. We don’t have that draw of London life, big club status or the willingness to send us back towards insolvency with stupid wage, ala Modric, Woodgate, Nasri etc. We are building to becoming a bigger club and that will happen at this rate if not overnight.

Our team is much improved on last year. We have signed young, promising, talented players to replace people who made little or no contribution to last season, exluding faye and Milner. Rozenhal was on loan from jan, carr, ramage were injured, troisi couldn’t get a game etc etc.

If Keegan leaves, I and you should be angry with him. HE will have let us down. As someone said, this is no way to deal with conflict. It would be a resolution that left the club and the fans he loves down shit creek without a paddle.

If KK goes everyone should stay away from the next home match, cause Ashley the only pain he knows in his pocket.

The one big problem with this club are the fans who always get behind the club no matter what, an empty stadium would make a loder noise than angry screaming fans, let Ashley sit on his own in his club and drink as many pints as he wants.

  • 128 Ageordiedoonsooth // Sep 2, 2008 at 11:58

Luke there is a flaw in your argument KK hasn’t let us down. There is only so much sh*te one can take and buying & selling players behind your managers back is not the way to run a club. If this is true and KK leaves (sacked) then I for one will, after 53 years of passion for this club not support them any more until Ashley has sold the club to someone who wants to REALLY make us a top 4 club by investing lots of money into the club. I think if this is true then we will struggle big time & probably finish as the lowest north east team in the PL not just out of the top 6 but outside the top 15. The only word I can think of to sum up my frustration is BOLLOCKS

I love KK, if he walks then i will understand as i too cant stand another minute to support a team thats being bankrolled by Scrooge McDuck Inc.

I’ll say it again, if you want to go and read about a club with ambition your best to go and check out Man City… their owners have been in charge less than 24 hours and have already spent buckets more cash than Ashley has in over 12 months.

Stay away from the home game? Don’t be so damn soft. Support the club not the manager, not the owner, not the players, but the club. It’s the club as a whole that counts not individuals.

If Keegan was sacked then I’d be a bit annoyed as although he isn’t my favourite person to be in the job he hasn’t done anything wrong.
If he resigns then Keegan deserves to be kicked out of Newcastle for good. So he didn’t get all the chocolate he was promised. Boo hooo. Suck it up and do the best with what you’ve got. Do you see Redknapp, Moyes, Scholari all handing in their notice? No.
But my breath is wasted as Keegan could set fire to some peoples houses and it wouldn’t be his fault, but the fault of the people who build the house for making it burn so easily.

  • 138 Peter Gallagher // Sep 2, 2008 at 12:03

  • 140 Bill F Ash Didn't Splash :( // Sep 2, 2008 at 12:03

So nothing new happening. We have been through this sort of shi*e before and we still endure. Whatever happens the fans will remain, I just hope the next manager is a strong one and is actually allowed to manage.
I expect the lap dog Wise (who hates the fans apparently) will be installed as temporary manager whilst Nero fiddles around trying to persuade some other sap to take KK’s place.

Wouldn’t it be bloo*y ironic if we got our first modern silverware under Wise though.

  • 141 Luke // Sep 2, 2008 at 12:03

If Ashley tried to sell Barton behind Keegan’s back, that could be a problem.

    It’s dealt with like this:

Keegan: “what the F**k did you try and do that for?”
MA: “he’s a liability, would free up some wages…”
Keegan: “I told you I wanted to keep him.”
    MA: “I know but, it’s just he’s giving us a bad rep…”
Keegan: “If that’s the way you’re going to conduct business, then I’m out.”
    MA: “Sorry… please stay.”
Keegan: “Do it again and I’m off.”

    done.

If he goes, I hope we can Souness back. Reckon he’s got unfinished business here.

Keegan to stay. Don’t leave Kev. Stick out, get us up the league, galvanise the fans.

Oh and to those choosing now, of all times, to criticise Kevin. Call yourself fans?! Keegan is a legend at this club for a reason - he was a great player for us, he was a great manager for us first time round and his family are from the area. He IS a supporter of this club, not just someone here for the pay check or glory.

Need I remind you that TWICE Keegan saved us from relegation to the 3rd division? Once as player, once as manager. TWICE he ensured Beardsley came to the club and was allowed to play some his best football. TWICE he nearly won the Premiereship, the closest we’ve ever got. He brought Shearer, our all time leading goalscorer home.

No one, excepting Milburn and Shearer and just possibly Sir Bobby, deserve as fond a place in Geordie hearts as Keegan. Of course the man makes mistakes. Of course his judgement is sometimes off. But he remains and always wil;l a legend to true Toon fans. KK critics - get lost before you embarass yourselves further.

Yet again, so many people are falling into the trap of having such a strong opinion on purely speculation when really, nobody knows what is going. We as NUFC fans, partially down to a lack of communication from the club, seem to make our own minds up on things before any official confirmation is made.

But, there’s many sides to a story.

If Keegan has walked out because of Ashley selling players/ not buying enough then Keegan is wrong for not sticking it out and trying to make the best, then again Ashley will also need to stay out of the football and transfer side of things.

Does anybody actually think that Ashley would secretly sell Milner, yet hang onto Owen and offer an improved contract? He clearly told Keegan we had a good offer for Milner and asked him what to do.

Ashley/Keegan clearly have plans for the future, and in all fairness although Milner was a decent prospect, he was not that important for the squad.

Be bloody great buying a 6foot 2 striker and having Jimmy “I can’t cross or beat a full back to save my life but run constantly” Milner providing the (lack of) aerially service to him, wouldn’t it? We sell 22 year old Milner, yet place a better winger (Gutierrez) in his place, and still have 22 year old N’Zogbia on the left, who can sometimes cross and dribbles naturally well. Stop crying because he’s english!

The 2 we signed yesterday were exactly the players we needed, and we now have a complete squad, if not far off. The only problem is the cover/depth, but we have many youngsters to rely on, a few decent fringe players, and there’s always January to buy some more.

Hope I helped to calm a couple of worries for people there.

I feel sick this morning, I’ve tried supporting MA and what he is doing for the club on the understanding that Keegan had final say - that doesn’t appear to be the case now. I’m sorry to all of those who said this would happen.

  • 173 sweendog // Sep 2, 2008 at 12:17

RobB,Mickeytoon ..I agree The Toon are a vocation … even if Keegan leaves (which I’d be gutted with) we should still support the club .. .. we don’t have to support the board though (if these rumours are true, at the moment they’re not true)

  • 174 carl // Sep 2, 2008 at 12:17

if its all true i cant blame kk for walking , hes one of us and wed of done the same!

  • 175 Luke // Sep 2, 2008 at 12:18

Ageordiedoonsooth: there is no floor. If he did resign, we would be left in the lurch. He needs to make the most of the trying circumstances and do what he does best, coach. I am glad we have the scouting network in place. To be honest, if it was left to Keegan he’d probably be buying overpriced and overrated english talent. Not that nationality means anything to me. I love the man, but some of you think he can do no wrong.

I see the ignoramus that is 51times has pulled his head out of his own innards and re-joined us. You do realise that free speech works both ways don’t you? Like this: is 51 your intelligence quotient?

PS. I was joking about said Jock.

  • 176 Micky Toon // Sep 2, 2008 at 12:18

51 Times - Sometimes it takes a minority to show the majority the way.
Hand on heart you can’t deny what I’m saying is true. Problem is everyone got caught up in the Keegan hype. Everyone thought is was summer of 96 all over again with big signings everywhere and we’d be top four.
Now, when it’s all come on top people are angry and feeling betrayed. By all means vent your anger, but make sure you vent at the right people.
Perhaps MA could have invested more heavily. However evidence suggests that we did try some big money signings and they didn’t come.
But you cannot deny that Keegan throwing his toys out for a second time at a time when the club needs him the most is an act of selfish betrayal.

Just had to quickly use the other comp that has got no ad blockers or security installed in firefox, and the adverts are a nightmare.. Surely you don’t need that many Ed to cover costs? And Chelsea tones on a NUFC site?

Don’t worry though, I won’t tell everyone how to get completely rid of them for good :)

  • 183 James // Sep 2, 2008 at 12:20

    AndyNUFC - He’s gone mate.

  • 184 iain // Sep 2, 2008 at 12:20

i think he will stay, becuase ashley will know the club will become a nightmare for him to own and sell if keegan goes. wise as manager just try it and watch as senior players refuse to play for the little runt.

hopefully he will now sell to that indian guy who wanted to buy us.

either that or agree to back keegan in january and if he doesnt keegan will go then.

You have to be a Moron to let a good manager walk out 3 games into the Season… Maybe some good will come out of this meeting today, less bull from the Hierachy and a bit more control for KK…
