if ashley sells up to a foriegn invester as e might do after most fans seem to want to hang him.man city are gonna be a total joke buying players that will only be coming in most cases for the money.i think ashley is trying to settle the club not spending silly money and wages.remember this is his money not fat freds loans.i know all fans want to see big signings but i would rather the club take a step back on the silly signings for a while.i felt for kev for not having say in signings which is totaly wrong but he should have stuck with it an come out telling the fans how its run instead of crying off.no one knows what was said in these arguments or who they involved as no one has came out an told the fans.then on another point ashley might of known this was gonna happen giving him an excuse to get out quickly.one minute fans love the fact he seems a normal geezer sitting in the crowd which i thought then the same fans slate him saying he should have suit on not to be seen like most owners.

I've done the hot under the collar bit but I have a question. Don't people in big jobs have what used to be called terms of reference which spell out in writing, their responsibilities, their authority etc. If Kev has such, they presumably gave him the powers that he assumed he had and Ash should be over a barrel legally . I cannot believe that £2m a year jobs are not closely defined at the uptake.

I believe Ashley could have solved this issue by removing Wise et al and given Keegan the authority he required. The fact is he decided - for whatever reason - to back the Board of Directors instead of Keegan. By doing this he has alienated the fans and i believe this will be his undoing. The good thing is that we have the forthcoming international break to organise some kind of meaningful protest. The only issue is how do we proceed from here? There have been many suggestions put forward and I'm sure any of these would have a significant effect. However, the only way it will work is if we can reach a consensus. Given that NUFC.com is the most visited NUFC related site on the internet (including the official site), I suggest that the writers of said site should be responsible for either deciding or facilitating the decision of the correct action to be taken. In any case right now we, as the supporters of Newcastle United Football Club, need to act and to act decicively.

We DON'T have a European set-up like Barca--in Barcelona, THE CLUB IS OWNED BY THE FANS. They vote on the president every 4 years.

NUFC SHOULD BE OWNED BY ITS FANS.

Somehow it can be done...

just got in from work and saw this. i am gutted to say the least. ashley can't justify this - if he paints the picture of kev leaving and not being reasonable then its total bulsh*t.
this could have been avoided and it is a massive insult to us the fans - as we all love kev - to let him be treated like this. this was the only way he was going to react ashley, you fat useless prick.
where are the pro-ashley supporters now - surely even you are infuriated by this. im heartbroken and i've always thought ashley was good for the club,i know obviously think otherwise.

It's time Ashley took a more hands on role at the club, I respect him for wanting to take a back seat as owner and try and enjoy himself but the muppets he brought in to run the club are nothing short of useless capitalist bastards. This kind a crap might pass in the ruthless world of high flying multinational listed companies, but this is a football club. If ever there was evidence of the soul having been ripped out of the game it has come this week. Man City signing Robinho from one of the greatest clubs in the world because he can make more money, Curbishley leaving the Hammers because players were sold behind his back and now Keegan doing exactly the same. This is just the start, fans, not just here, but everywhere need to make a stand... the only thing is, when was the last time you heard from the Manchster AFC lot and all those who boycotted the Glazers? They might be League and European Champions but they have huge debts and the ticket prices have rocketed. What will happen to Chelsea when the Russian leaves? How will Arsenal cope when they can't sell off the land at Highbury to make their payments on the Emirates due to the current housing crisis? This is bigger than Keegan, bigger than Newcastle United, this has implications for the game ,or should I say business, as a whole. As a Newcastle United fan I am pretty much used to putting up with the unbelievable but this time I am more worried than in the past, the game has been taken away from the fans and the people that run the clubs don't seem to realise that there would be no club, no ticket sales, no merchandising, no Sky deals, no money.. without the very people they are treating like crap, the fans.

Black Magpie Owen has had four..
Given and Harper have had how many now?? Do you think either of them will walk out..not a chance in hell.
I think they'll probably try and get an interview out of Given after the Irish match. But I doubt he'll say much.

It's them I feel sorry for. They need our support now more then ever. They've done nothing wrong, they've played well and what do they get in return..empty seats against Hull.

There is no way we can protest the match without hurting the players.
Showing up, staying there is no good. Singing, booing, do ye think the board will care. They wont give two shits. Money is all that matters to them. They'll take our money and block their ears.

To make them look, to make them care that means us not being there. Us doing something different.
But the players will suffer because of that.

I wonder if Ashley "one of the lads" will stand in with the fans for this game.

Who in their right mind is going to want to come and manage us now. Players must be feeling rock bottom, fans are disillousioned and totally out of the loop. The boardroom is obviously not bothered about fans and we are fed false promises constantly. Bad day to be a toon supporter. All the best KK.
