Nacho must be injured then. Not a bad line up I suppose.

  • 2 Toonboy // Sep 24, 2008 at 7:32 PM

Cacapa in midfield again that wont work AGAIN

  • 3 ToonKing // Sep 24, 2008 at 7:33 PM

finally a decent line-up by Houghton.

  • 4 beyethegreat // Sep 24, 2008 at 7:33 PM

has any 1 else noticed spurs are getting hardly no coverage lol

  • 5 reillers // Sep 24, 2008 at 7:34 PM

    Cacapa..midfield..Given will be busy.

  • 6 Who is Derek Llambias? // Sep 24, 2008 at 7:36 PM

zog’s is at left back.. therefore we will lose.

  • 7 micepie // Sep 24, 2008 at 7:37 PM

Give Cacapa a chance in mf. Some of his long range passing against West Ham was pretty crisp. Let’s see how he gets on. Plety of flare on’t wings any road up.

  • 8 Who is Derek Llambias? // Sep 24, 2008 at 7:38 PM

another observation, their bench is awesome compared to ours… need to finish them off in the first half

  • 9 KK FOREVER (Ross) // Sep 24, 2008 at 7:38 PM

who says cacapa is in the mid?
he could be at CB, taylor at RB, bassong LB, never know! zogs on left, geremi right, duff/butt in center? or maybe duff right geremi center?

On a slightly less encouraging note, there’s hardly anyone there. its like a reserve crowd.

  • 10 ObaFan2 // Sep 24, 2008 at 7:41 PM

    Bassong lb… good

  • 11 51times // Sep 24, 2008 at 7:42 PM

    I don’t feel optimistic.

  • 12 Bosamuelson // Sep 24, 2008 at 7:47 PM

Unfortunately I have not got a good feeling about this game. I think we may get toncked.

I hope im proved wrong but I think Spurs may find their feet here.

    Arrrgghhhh

  • 13 John B // Sep 24, 2008 at 7:48 PM

Sorry lads, same question as always..

    Any streams?? I can’t find any :(

  • 14 51times // Sep 24, 2008 at 7:49 PM

we already have a horrid central midfield, but they’re playing 4 – 5 – 1, they’re going to control this game.

  • 15 beessi-kosovo // Sep 24, 2008 at 7:49 PM

  • 24 KK FOREVER (Ross) // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:07 PM

rubbish decision from the ref there like, that was a good challenge from geremi. great challenge from butt on lennon few minutes ago aswell.

dubsea-dead right mate, weird isnt it. i was at all the pre season games this time round though and there seemed to be more there for them than there is tonight!

  • 25 Brazilian Geordie // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:08 PM

    Audio Stream, please.

  • 26 ToonKing // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:08 PM

Cacapa doing well in midfield .

  • 27 KK FOREVER (Ross) // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:08 PM

thats another poor decision from the ref. he’s taken the ball there and there’s no need for a yellow card.

  • 42 dubsea // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:24 PM

    corluka is a pussyole….

  • 43 Greg P // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:26 PM

Is Geremi colour blind? He’s been shocking

  • 44 KK FOREVER (Ross) // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:29 PM

sad to say but martins has looked poor too apart from one or two decent flurries, decent ball into the box there too, still had men to pick out though and he didnt manage it.
Both teams are just giving the ball away and its making for a very boring game.

  • 53 dubsea // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:38 PM

dire match really….complete opposite to the last round against coventry…this game is all about confidence

  • 54 Heavy hitters // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:39 PM

No one there hardly, more like a kick around than a game, dreadful.

  • 55 ObaFan2 // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:39 PM

Geremi’s been absolute rubbish, rest of the team ok ish but Spurs are worse lmao@ them

  • 56 KK FOREVER (Ross) // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:40 PM

what a terribly boring first half.
that doubt that blatant elbow from pavlywhatever on coloccini will be forgotten either

  • 57 Steve_48 // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:41 PM

PLayed alright in 1st half [but it is against Spuds] defence holding up, couple of wobbles, stifled midfield a little, Martins giving the ball away too much for me = not match fit yet

  • 58 The Entertainers // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:46 PM

    That was painful…….

I disagree with a few of you who think its a good line up.

We have nothing in the middle of the park.

Cacapa should partner Colo, with Taylor RB.
Midfield should be Butt and Owen, with Oba and Xisco up front…….but hey lets be cautious we are at home to a team playing as bad as us!

Does anyone know the capacity? i’d guess at 20,000, but could be less!…Not much noise.

How could one man cause this much mess?

It hard wathing the team you love when they play with out heart, passion, commitment and motivation.

  • 59 reillers // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:47 PM

Oh dear God that was boring stuff, but I’ll take boring and getting a result over getting trashed any day.
Butt’s working his arse off, it’s been played so slowly, but it’s like it’s been played in slow motion. Spurs have a bench we don’t. There are no highlights to show at half time. We’ve nothing to shout about. Given looks bored off his tree and Spurs keeper looks the same.

  • 60 ToonKing // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:47 PM

we don’t have a lot of options on the bench either…..maybe bring on Xisco a little later for Martins but that’s it really.

  • 61 Heavy hitters // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:48 PM

    sopcast atdhe………….excellent quality !

  • 62 daydeburt // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:51 PM

    bassong shite
    duff shite
    caspakka shite
    geremi shite

butt trys his heart out at least
owen needs service- he must be sick
    martins needs the ball
n zogbia- is a winger in my view, not involved
    taylor and collicini- average
    given-nowt to do

  • 63 daydeburt // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:53 PM

spurs look shite aswell, everywhere on the pitch
    apart from woodgate-he looks steady

  • 64 KK FOREVER (Ross) // Sep 24, 2008 at 8:55 PM

    so close.
best piece of football of the match. so unlucky duff.

  • 65 beyethegreat // Sep 24, 2008 at 9:10 PM

nando womt let us hear the end of it

  • 66 reillers // Sep 24, 2008 at 9:10 PM

FFS. Shite defending again. 1-0 to Spurs.

  • 67 ToonKing // Sep 24, 2008 at 9:13 PM

    off course…

  • 68 reillers // Sep 24, 2008 at 9:16 PM

    2-0 ffs.

Oh sweet mother of God, I’ve watched Newcaslte play for a very long time but that, without a doubt (minus some Bramble incidents) was the most stupid decision I’ve seen from a defender..so much so that I’d be inclined to say that “he did a Bramble.”

  • 69 ToonKing // Sep 24, 2008 at 9:16 PM

oh FFS…..no light at the end of this tunnel…were lucky if we escape relegation…..i could kill MA right now..

  • 70 The Entertainers // Sep 24, 2008 at 9:37 PM

We have to seriously look at our season as survival now.

Anything at home to Blackburn will do, even a point, we just have to stop the rot.

Mr Ashley if you truely care about the club you would have left already.
