Enrique, Guthrie and Cacapa Start for Newcastle

Joe Kinnear welcomes back Jose Enrique from a hamstring injury with Sebastien Bassong dropping down to the bench, and Guthrie and Cacapa are also in the starting eleven, which looks an interesting and good choice by Joe.

Steven Taylor will move to right back and Joe has surprisingly has restored Claudio Cacapa to partner Coloccini in central defense. Looks like Joe is banking on experience this afternoon.

As expected Danny Guthrie returns from his 3 game suspension with Xisco moving to the bench, and it looks like Duff will join skipper Michael Owen in attack, with Geremi on the right wing.

Duff is in top form and he’s already played up front this season, and looked dangerous. and Joe has gone without a big striker up front, given the players available to him.

Everton are without suspended midfielder Tim Cahill, probably their best player, and the highly experienced Howard Webb is today’s referee.

TEAMS

Everton: Tim Howard, Tony Hibbert, Leighton Baines, Joleon Lescott, Phil Jagielka, Louis Saha, Mikel Arteta, Steven Pienaar, Leon Osman, Yakubu, Marouane Fellaini
Subs: Carlo Nash, Joseph Yobo, Segundo Castillo, James Vaughan, Nuno Valente, Jack Rodwell, Victor Anichebe

Newcastle United:

Subs: Steve Harper, Sebastien Bassong, David Edgar, Xisco, Shola Ameobi, Mark Doninger, Ryan Donaldson

Dont think a lot of the line up, should have another forward on and if playing Germi, stick him at right back

ohh my , geremi at right wing , no pace and cant beat his man 🙁
he’s more effective crossing balls in from a deeper position .

Anybody think he might be playing 5-3-2?

With Geremi & Enrqiue playing wing back & duff up front with Owen?
Everton tend to play only 1 up front so it would make sense to just leave the 3 at the back rather then 4.

you lot are a bit harsh on Xisco =- no manager, club in turmoil, he does not speak the linguo and hes 21, and only played 3 games. give him chance.

Honestly I don’t think we can win even another single game(including against stoke, etc).. you know why, because we are rubbish and are totally bull as long as that stupid butt is in our line up.. he often make stupid tackles, make awful passes, loses the ball almost everytime, can’t make any on target shots, and are SLOW. even my great great great(peace for him) can play better!!!
