The Sunday Sun reports that Kinnear is ready to bring in some coaching help at Newcastle, but quickly adds that he will retain all of the coaching staff currently at the club.
Joe Kinnear – new coach coming in
Kinnear has a coach lined up, but we don’t know for sure if it is Gerry Francis, Robbie Earle or somebody else, or even more than one.
But Joe thinks the person he has lined up can make a difference to Newcastle’s fortunes, but rightly fears that revealing who he is, could undermine his position. That’s through personal experience of this last week, no doubt.
Joe told The Sunday Sun today:
“I’ve got plans to bring in other people around me but I daren’t even mention it because I know he’d probably be in serious trouble before he got here,”
“He’ll be involved in coaching and we’ll just get on with it. No one’s leaving, no one at all. I’ve assured them all that there’s no problem with the jobs for everyone Kevin Keegan employed. “That’s not a problem, I just need to bring in someone else.”
“I’ve negotiated to bring in some- one else but it will be specialized stuff, Tuesday and Thursday only, two hours after we finish training to work on specific things I want to work on, individual stuff.
“Him coming in will be a different voice, he’s got a vast amount of experience. It shouldn’t get an adverse reaction but the way things are going at the moment, who would you trust?”
He’ll be keeping everybody Keegan employed because the chances are high that Kevin will be returning in about 5 weeks, so that’s good, because the very last thing we need right now is even more upheaval at the club.
This sounds good to us, and if he can help Joe with bringing success back and getting some wins for Newcastle, that’s just fine with us.
Comments welcome.

Comment #9WHatever anyone says, I don’t care but KK is a w*****! If he loved the club, he wouldn’t have left for whatever reason and left us in this mess! i’VE BEEN SUPPOETING nufc FOR 30 YEARS so I spk with some exeprience. I really don’t want to see him back as most of us Newcastle fan club in Corby, Northants!

Comment #12Watch Newcastle kick lumps out of Everton today. For the 1st time in my life, I dnt care how we play as long as we get a result. It’s only a matter of time till Spurs start winning and that will leave us in it!

Comment #13@Frankieboy: Beye has said he won’t be returning today because it’s too soon for him, but he’s expected to be playing at the Man City game.
@Rocky: That isn’t what we were discussing. Please uncross your eyes and re-read the article.

Comment #14Rocky – don’t blame the victim. Things were rotten before he went and he didn’t create the crisis. If anything, the fans’ reaction is more responsible for the current mess but neither Keegan nor the fans are the true culprits. KK’s departure has created the possibility of a better future with owners who will have learned from this. KK’s return will be triumphant.

Comment #27If he’s only gonna be here as long as kinnear, then its not that big of a deal. maybe they work well together, who knows. Just let it happen, it cant get any worse!
as for todays team, i think we’ll see the same as blackburn etc, purely with the introduction of guthrie for cacapa.

Need 3 points and Hull must beat the spuds!! To keep the pointage tight we need Bolton to loose, Hull to win and stoke to loose or we are well behind the rest.
Hate international break!
