Was it just me, or did Zog get more freedom in the 2nd half, as to me he looked like he was floating in off the wing into a more central position - which he looked far more dangerous :)

----------Given----------
Beye--Coloccini--Tayls/Cacapa--Bassong
Jonas--Guthrie--Butt--N’Zogbia
----------Duff------------
--------Owen------------

I would be tempted to give Charlie a free role, and switch him with Duff?

I think with Ameobi its a confidence building excercise by JK, considering the slagging he has been getting on here!

I wonder if any players from the club read this blog or any feedback from here gets relayed back to the club?

Keegan couldn't sort Shola out though I would love it - just love it- if Joe can reinvent him. Joe has shown he is no mug so he must be able to see something in Shola. Hope they succeed but fear they won't.

Barton is suspended for the man city game...martins wont be fit...Jonas will be back

My team would be

Given
Beye Colo taylor Bassong

Jonas Guthrie Butt Nzogbia

                    Duff

                    Owen

I would be very surprised if the team is anything different to this....One change that might surprise everyone is i have a feeling that Ameobi might play! Big Joe seems to think he can bring out the best in him; and for one i hope he can! Ameobi has always baffled me; he has everything; skill, pace, power, heading ability, can finish...BUT before everyone starts telling me im an idiot; i believe he has all this but he has never ever shown anything other than glimpses of this over the years and now he has no confidence; whether or not he deserves another final chance is up there for debate but if Joe can sort his head out we might have a new player on our hands! your thoughts???

What I like about Zoggas is that he's very dangerous playing through the middle too - so if we really want to go attacking, we can play him, Jonas and Duff. Nice to have a selection problem.

I thought he was our best player on the park he always looks dangerous when he gets the ball and turns and runs at defenders, he needs to be given the reign to take the ball and just have a go at the defences if he has a chance as he looks incredibly dangerous when he has the balls... was extremly happy aswell with Shola's performance when he came on aswell he looked as if he had been giving alot of belief for Big Joe so hopefully he can prove all the negative ppl on here who just seem to come on here and whinge about everything and every player instead of getting behind them and being positive, bring back the support not the slander!!

I think the two assists from the right flank flattered Geremi and Taylor and undermined Nzogbia's wing play for me.

We were exposed down the right is what i'm saying but this is overshadowed by assists.

Did Gutiérrez return on Monday?

we need him bad. If Beye isn't fit, i wud use Geremi behind Jonas as a right back.

Shola did everything right and passed to Zog and we all thought he'd score....
Atleast with Milner gone we can now play both Zog n Duff down the wings, wonder what'll happen when Spidey's back, no to leftback for Zog!
