Newcastle United are not surprisingly unchanged for Saturday’s Tyne-Wear derby with Joey Barton (suspension) and Jonas Gutierrez (shoulder) returning to the subs bench.
That means Oba Martins will again partner Shola Ameobi in attack with Nicky Butt captaining the side. The Newcastle bench looks very strong in Jonas Gutierrez, Jose Enrique, Charles N’Zogbia, Claudio Cacapa, Joey Barton and Xisco
Xisco is preferred to Andy Carroll, who had a good run-out with the Reserves earlier this week.
For Sunderland, Kenwyne Jones returns to the squad but is only on the bench after a knee injury.

Good team tho’ I hoped Jonas would have started, cause his speed can cause them lots of trouble. But if he comes on he will be fresh to open up their defence. My scoreline is: 0-2 (Martins and Jonas). I really want to see his Spidey mask today.

Ameobi is doing all he can and made a fantastic and very important goal. Sometimes I think he will come back as the player he was 3 or 4 seasons ago and today he is giving me that feeling again.
Taylor is poor again, but is there anything news in that. Every time the ball goes into his direction I start to pray that nothing happens. I think he was also fault in the Scums goal; he gave Cisse to much space, tho’ the pass should have been attackeed too.
Martins is having a very difficult afternoon, but he is growing after the 1-1. If he gets more balls into his feet, he will manage to score I’m sure of it.
Geremi his crossing is so comical, sometimes he kciks 2 fantastic world class crosses (the goal) and then he kciks 3 awful crosses.
I hope Kinnear brings on Spidey; I defo want to see the faces of the Mackems if he wears his mask in front of them.

We need to stop conceding early goals. They have been what have been letting us down in recent games. Sunderland Fully deserved the victory. They created the better chances and looked far more confident.
Well done again to Shola again for getting that all important goal but our defense and Nicky Butt in particular is giving away critical penalties and now Free kicks. We need to consider his position and drop him if need be. He said experience will be critical but he is not showing it nor is he proving his remark.
