Dennis Wise Thinks Bobby Robson Unfair

Sir Bobby Robson has revealed in his weekly column in The Mail on Sunday that he has spoken with Dennis Wise last week.

Dennis Wise – thinks Bobby has been unfair

Bobby criticized Dennis for not living in the the Newcastle area and apparently Dennis Wise called him last week to say he thinks Bobby is being a little unfair.

Bobby Robson wrote today:

“Dennis felt I have been a little unfair and wanted to point out that he did come to the north-east on Monday and Tuesdays, and went back on Wednesdays when the players had the day off anyway.”

“My response was that my feelings were not personal, but I was speaking as someone who put the club’s interests first. My principles are unchanged, I think anyone who holds an important executive position at Newcastle United should be based in or around the city.”

Since we are talking about Dennis, we wonder how long it will be before he puts in his resignation, since there should be no room for Dennis in the new Newcastle management structure.

The sooner that new structure gets set up – the better for everyone associated with the Newcastle United club.

I honestly see us getting relegated this season. I bet there’s a lot of people here saying we’re too good to go down, they’re EXPECTING us to stay up. Well, recent tradition would have had you EXPECTING us to beat the mackems wouldn’t it? We spent £20mill and made £1mill this year, the mackems spent £50mill, we’re 19th, they’re 9th, just goes to show Ashley trying to copy the arsenal model didn’t go to his plan did it? What an arsehole, I completely blame him for this mess.

Or put another way – if Ashley has refused to spend any more on players – what exactly is Wise being paid for at the moment??
I see Tottenheim have had to sack their Director of Football in order to get Redknapp

I hope Dennis Wise quits as he is as responsible as Ashley. only new people coming and sacking him will give me any satisfaction. i agree we could go down. i hope they sort this mess out soon

apparently nobody has seen dennis wise at the club for months , he hasnt attended any reserve matches and zero under -18 matrches .
so you have to ask , whats he picking a wage up for ?
mike isnt going to ‘subsidise’ his investment in january , so my advice to wise would be to get lost and stop waiting on the check to pay you off .

the fact that none of mike ashleys croonies haven not camer out fighting during all of this tells you everything you need yo know , they were caught red handed trying to ruin this club for their own personall gain , had it been for the good of the club these guys would have fought their corner .
if all it took is one matchday protest to remove an owner , liverpool wouldnt be being ran by yanks still.
mike ashley jumped at the chance todo what he always intended on doing (selling us at a profit) and used the circumstances to blame it on our unrealistic ambitions and violent nature .

Wise and Ashley are to go, or Newcastle are to go down down down down down down down to the lowest league in england.
That would be the end to this big club.

This would be my team v WBA, same formation Chelsea are using today!!

Subs > Harper, Butt, Geremi, Ameobi, Xisco, Taylor, Ranger.

Please give me some feedback on this team, coz I feel that this is a really good side and attacking formation. I don’t see why Kinnear can’t see it!?

I hope due dilegance is being undertook as we speak because the club are deep in the myre.

New owners need to be in before xmas and a reasonable transfer budget for January.

If we are heading in the right direction with results the new owners should keep Joe in till the end of the season

We will need at lot of points to stay up probably at least 45 this season because there are no are no Derby Counties this year.

We need to pick up points – and very quickly 3 against WBA is a must. Without a win against WBA we will loose all the momentum that JFK has started and panic will grow among the players.

We have got most of our good players fit now, no time for any more exuses just points.

Get all our quality attackers playing from the outset now Jonas, Barton, Nzogbia, instead of Butt, Geremi and Bassong.

Theres no doubt we’re gonna end up in the bottom half of the table this season, but i don’t think we’ll go down. we’re 9 games in and we’ve already been to manure and arsenal. We’re 1 point off safety and when we beat WBA on tues we’ll move outta the relegation zone. The mackems are a tough nut to crack @ home evn arsenal and liverpool battled there this season, plus the windy conditions made the game a bit of a lottery. Bolton, Stoke and WBA are without doubt worse sides than us.

Yet the majority on here were jealous when Ramos went there and looked on with envy when the likes of Modric, Bentley, Woodgate, Corluka etc went there since he’s been manager.

Plenty of hindsight being used here.

How can a mentally made manager predict a top 6 with players like nicky butt smith and some others.few of our players i guess 5 out of the squad are good to remain in the club.Nufc is a relegation team for now

Willie – Spurs have some good players who will get a kick up the arse off Redknapp and they will start to gain points they know Redknapp is the man to save them he’s done it too many times before.

The question is can we be saved?

Of course we can, people point out that we lost to Sunderland when we drew there last year yet we drew away to Everton and at home to Man City, both games we lost last year.

Jonas and Barton will be big plus points for us now they’re back, add Owen to that and we’ll start climbing the league.

It is possible that we will improve, however i think the sooner we start climbing the league the better i will fancy our chances.
I wish the season was over (after 8 games!!!!) , obviously with us staying up and start again for next season

Little Willie – dunno what you’re on about mate re your point on “hindsight”
Tottenham HAVE had to ditch their Director of Football otherwise ‘Arry wouldnt go there.
At United we didnt like the DOF arrangement because of the person who was given the job – it was clear the dwarf and Sir Kevin were never going to hit it off. Ashley should have realised he had a top manager on his hands and ditched the dwarf and the system (or given the DOF job to someone Sir Kevin could respect – like Sir Bobby…..).
Not sure why you are linking any of this to Ramos……irrelevant: different club, different manager.

It’s a pity we’re in a state of limbo at the moment, otherwise we could have raided Portsmouth for Crouch and Diarra in the jan window. How we need a good target man to play alongside Owen or Martins, and someone to replace Butt.

Wise will stay doing nothing for the next couple of months. He’ll then wait for new management to come in and sack him….helping him to a nice little earner.

I’m sure he has an agreement with mike to be on leave at the mo and not take his money for the sack of staying till he can get that big paycheck with the sack.

Fair play to jimenz who actually resigned and didn’t con us waiting for a big check with the sack

Wise to newc every mon and tues! lol maybe hes done it once!

WE (NUFC) are the Derby County this season, or cant you see that yet?
Hull beat NUFC, they also beat WBA. So if WBA beat us then where does that put us?
    I’ll tell you m8, RELEGATED.
Our next game on Tuesday is THE most important game, and will decide our future for sure.
Spurts were doomed with Ramos, but now with ‘arry red twat they will move above us, unless things change soon at NUFC.

Sir Bobby is , as we all are , entitled to our opinions, which does`nt neccessaryly make them facts and to stir the shit at this time does nothing but raise past issues.
(what does it matter where Wise spends his time , he is in the employ of owner Ashley and being paid by him) If he wants to write something constructive he should concentrate on the clubs future, as a highly respected former manager , with a long successfull career I expect he has a great amount of positive advice to give and I would hope the new ownership have the smarts to seek his advice.
As for the blame game, we all have our own opinions and its only divisive to keep on about it.
What`s needed is a a period of calm and an assesment of what it will take to survive relegation.
We will have new ownership soon (hopefully) and that will probably see the end of Ashleys hires, so relax.

I just don’t know how someone of Wise’s professional standing has the nerve to even consider challenging Sir Bobby.

Such is the arrogance of the man (and I use that term reservedly) – he should be ashamed of himself and take a walk!
