Newcastle Need Our Support Now More Than Ever

Now is the time for Newcastle supporters to increase their support of the team, rather than for it to drop off.

Joe Kinnear – needs all the help supporters can give him

We are not as bad as the league position shows. and after looking at the Sunderland game for a second time last night, the major point that hits you is that it was just a terrific game of football played by two highly motivated sides.

Secondly, it could have gone either way, and Newcastle were not too far away from winning the game, but that magnificent strike by Richardson was a fitting goal to win the game. How can you hit a ball that hard from a standing start?

Joe Kinnear wasn’t too far off the mark when he said the lads played quite well and were a little unlucky, the video of the game supports him in that opinion – when you watch the game again in the cool light of day.

But how many times have you heard that we are better than our league position suggests? A win tomorrow night will create some magic again on Tyneside, and in the following league games there’s quite a few games we can actually win.

But first things first and we need our second league win of the season tomorrow night, and we expect Joe may make one or two changes, and we expect Gutierrez to start this game. Let’s have a good turnout for the lads tomorrow night.

Here’s the games through the end of Kinnear’s current tenure until the end of November:

October

Tue 28 19:45 H	WBA

November

Mon 3 20:00 H	Aston Villa
Sun 9 16:00 A	Fulham
Sat 15 15:00 H	Wigan Athletic
Sat 22 15:00 A	Chelsea
Sat 29 15:00 A	Middlesbrough

We should be able to beat WBA and Wigan at home, but we’ll need more wins than that in these 6 games if we are to get away from the relegation zone. Maybe wins at Middlesbrough and/or Fulham are also on the cards.

But there are definitely some games we can win in these coming games.  The first game in December, which is not shown – is Stoke City at home – another game we can win.

We have to get away from the relegation zone before the end of the year, that’s for sure. Draws will not do it, and we’ll have to go all out for wins to get the points we need.

But we know that Newcastle fans will support the team, because now is when they are needed the most. Let’s not believe the doom and gloom merchants – we have a much better squad than last year and our best players are also coming back – and that can’t be bad.

All we need is a win or two in the next few games  – let’s keep supporting the team – they need us more than ever when times are tough, like right now.

Comments welcome.

Yup Ed, we need lot’s of positive vibes and some luck – to coin a Bobby Robsonism… there are a few banana slides in those games!

im just sick of everything now, and when will butt, ameobi and taylor actually play a game without giving away free kicks in silly areas, penaltys, stupid goals etc. the sooner we get barton in butts place things will improve , and for ameobi, hes just crap! full stop.its a shambles

Totally agree Ed – I’ll be there shouting myself hoarse as usual. I know the three points are the obvious requirement but I’d like to see us bang in a few goals and a thumping win – not only because it will have a good effect on team confidence and morale, but it will send a clear message to the rest of the country “don’t write us off, we’re not lying down for anybody…….” Haway United!!!

    Given
    Beye-Taylor-Colo-Bassong
    Jonas-Barton-Guthrie-Zog
    Martins-Duff

This is without a doubt the best team we can play the next game. I can’t beleive you people who keep Duff outside the starting eleven! Are you dumb? He’s one of are best players, can’t you se that?!

Borough didnt do that well on Satruday against Blackburn. The key to beating Borough is to keep the defense tight and retain possession. Chelski did that and wolloped them 5 – 0.

Speaking of Chelski – looks like not just Mackems winning at home record that was broken. Thanks to Liverpool for outplaying them at Stanford Bridge. Hate Chelsea. THAT will be a tough match and the defense and mid will have a hard one there!!!

Villa will pound us in our own back yard. Thats what I can see.

After the emotion of the day settling down I am dreaming of relegation – and that is not good. Thats how concerned I am. Never ever done that before.

The lads need to bounce back off this and step up another level. Jonas / Barton and on the 3rd Owen in the starting 11.

    COME ON TOON

Ed, sorry, but the league table never lies. We are exactly as good as it shows – the second worse team in the division to date, make no mistake.

Do we have players capable of improving our position? YES we do. Are we too good to go down? NO, we are not. Can we avoid relegation? Of course we can, but we have to play like we did at Everton, for 90 minutes, of every match and hope for a bit of luck to go our way as well.

Sick to the back teeth of getting told to get behind the club, when thats all us Geordies have ever done!
Nothing helps these ungrateful tossers, all their bothered about is their big fancy paychecks and their cars.
I really am depressed with all this news and am never coming back onto websites like this one, for the simple fact they hurt me after a loss as I always think of the stupid crummy headlines that await. I completely isolated myself away from football the other day I was that angry, Only found out old arry was at spurs today!
Anyways….Tatar for now, hopefully i’ll be back on when Newcastle have been took over.
