Let’s Forget Sunderland Loss And Beat WBA Tonight

We have grieved for long enough about our Sunderland loss on Saturday, and we now have a great opportunity to get our second win of the season tonight, and our first win in 9 games (last win was at Coventry on 23rd August) when we face WBA at St. James’ Park tonight.  We hope the lads will be supported by a large crowd.

Newcastle crowd will be major factor tonight

Joe talked about the derby loss and tried to put the loss into a bigger context as he said this morning:

“I’m not making any small issue out of it and the bragging rights for the supporters but there is a bigger issue to look at,”

“Do you want to win both derbies and finish below your local rivals or do you want to lose them and finish above?”

He’s right of course and it’s the only way we can move on from Saturday’s defeat.

We’d like to be above Sunderland at the end of the season, but that may prove difficult because Roy Keane seems to know exactly what he needs to do, and Sunderland have come on leaps and bounds under his management in just over two years. Niall Quinn has also been outstanding as Chairman of the club.

They are certainly both rowing in the same direction right now.

Kinnear talked about the Sunderland manager, who he obviously admires:

“I don’t think Roy gets carried away,” “He’s a tremendous character and I’ve got a lot of time for him. He’s a Man United manager-in-waiting.”

“Roy has done exceptionally well with the players he’s got because a lot of them didn’t do well at previous clubs. We had a long chat and talked about old times, Ireland, Cork and Dublin.”

“He said we were a bit unfortunate. You had a chance at 2-1, if you took it who knows what outcome would have been? It’s all ifs and buts. That’s football.”

The Newcastle crowd will be very important tonight, and while the fans have every excuse in the world to stay at home, we are really hoping they will turn out and give Joe and the players, the support they desperately need.

And there’s a very good likelihood of tasting our second win of the season – and that’s always worthwhile to see in person. 😀

Let’s support the lads big time tonight, in a game which is being broadcast live around the world.

Howay The Lads!!

West Brom will not be an easy task they come to the toon on the back of defeats and they will not roll over.

I just don’t think the players have any fight left in them anymore and the points we have prove this..we knew after the window closed that it would be a dog fight these players are just not up to it.

Hope we are sold soon and loads of players off loaded in January as they are just not good enough.

Are you sure you’re cut out for supporting United? You just don’t sound like a traditional United fan to me……if you think the current squad is poor – you should have seen us when we had players like Graham Oates and Bobby Shinton lol

As a Wba fan i cant wait. We should have beat Hull and you should have beat sunderland. I think todays game is going to be very open. I think it will be a draw and i would be happy with that.

    Prediction 2-2 (J.Morrison (13min) Ameobi (21min) Coloccini (52min) Olsson (82min)

I’d like to see Ranger play at some point for Ameobi. Its nice to see more and more people are dropping Taylor to the bench in their lineups. Punk Skunk’s lineup appears to be the one many would go for but obviously it wont happen as Taylor will be there as usual, what does he have to do to get dropped???

Re the “play Ranger” point thats being raised
Its been proven time and again that you don’t get out of trouble by throwing in kids unless they are something special – lets stick with experienced men for now – maybe give the likes of Ranger, Sam Ameobi, Kadar etc a chance when we’re out of trouble.
    Thats my view anyroadup…….. :o)

would play 4 across midfield tho.

    jonas–guthrie–barton—n’zogbia
