we all need to understand that we will be a coca cola league team next season, furthermore, we fully deserve it too. our entire structure is a joke and we are run in a way that is so poor i just can not seem to find the words to say how much i hate ashley and his entire team, inc the bloke who is suppoasedly trying to sell us, i dont trust his one bit either, another tosser full of crap. if you think we are weak and short of numbers now, just wait til january comes round, we will be the biggest whipping boys in the league.

Fat Ash will hang onto it until the value of the club matches the Yank’s offer.
Selling Given and Owen in Jan should bring it down a bit for starters.

The club will be in complete turmoil in January. Owen will be gone, they won’t bring any players in and we’ll get relegated!

Without Owens goals were knackered! We have the smallest squad in the PL and Ashley has said that himself.

If he does by some miracle spend money in Jan, he’ll only put it on his asking price which will give us less chance of getting rid of the fat twat!

Alex, in post 18, believes we “colonials” are producing a low offer for the club hoping that Ashley, losing money down the bottomless pit that is his sporting goods “empire”, will take the first offer that comes his way. Ashley may be a lot of things, but as much as I hate to say, stupid is not one of them. Also, if we do go down to the fizzy pop league, isn’t there a large “parachute” payment that comes the club’s way? More cash to line Ash’s pockets after we’ve sold Milner and possibly Owen, Given, Zogs and a few others.

Just a feeling, but I don’t believe Ashley wants to sell. If he thinks he will get anything north of 250 million for the club, he’s more daft than any of us thought. Of course, we won’t hear what the American consortium have offered (if there ever was one). JFK will be in charge for the forseeable future, get a little money to spend in the window, and see some of our better players leave for other clubs. Hate to be so pessimistic after an OK performance at Chelsea, but there must be much more shown from management and players that they want to all pull together to keep us in the PL.

the only way anyone buying nufc could be affected by the credit crunch was if they didnt have the money to invest in nufc without loaning it from a bank.

which when you consider it in detail with ashley saying he would only sell to people who could improve nufc just proves what a lier he is, he only wants his money back he doesnt care who he sells to.

god help us, result at chelsea or not we have more chance of going down right now than staying up with ashley in charge.

Foolish idiot…wisen up….this is actually good news for the club…

Hopefully Ashley won’t go after all…a blessing in disguise this economic downturn…look at what the Americans are doin at Liverpool…probs with their loans? is that what we want

If Ashley, then we won’t add an “unstable-ownership” to our famous “unstable-manager” tag…and through that…Kinnear will get to stay..some stability that is much needed at newcastle (I really believe that’s all we need)

Just hold on to your horses…if we lose Owen, fine let him go..it means he isn’t as committed to the cause as he should (but then again with his injury record and lack of pace, which big team wld want to buy him and which smaller-big team will be prepared to pay his wages)…..

And I know we will bring in players in Jan..like s’one said earlier…Ashley knows that’s the only way to endear himself to us…

Look at their buys…(guthrie, Colocinni, Bassong, Guttierez)…at the very core of our team…absolutely essential to our team…..and look at how good our academy side is performing (7 wins in a row)…and for once…newcastle is doin all this and not in debt to any bank….great actually great…

it’s only a fool who will think things are bad…(only fools who are stuck on the KK bandwagon….in my honest opinion…Kinnear is way better than KK…tactically that is..his record shows..)

He comes in we have a leaky defense….and now we are able to hold a team that can score 5 goals in 90 mins as easy as reciting ABC…that can only speak well of him..

I wil like to implore all toon fans to get behind the team…get behind Ashley..forget aba the cowardly, team-deserting KK..and focus on the future…support the lads who go out on the pitch day in and day out….support the coaches and manager who toil in week in and week out…all with one aim…to move the team forward…

Ashley never had any intention of leaving.
Fans are fickle.
He is paying Dennis Wise good money to aquire players like Coloccini and Ranger and when the team is good enough he will be accepted back with the beer belly brigade.
It will take a while to build that up tho because of the likes of Souness and Fat Sam. Thats why he appointed a director of football. Because he knew Wise was a good talent spotter. And because he wanted to keep an eye on the spending. He has pumped millions into the club tho and to be honest some of the abuse he gets is unfair.
6-8 more signings of the ‘argie caliber’ and all will be forgiven
