Charles N’Zogbia Looking To Leave Newcastle

Charles N’Zogbia could be just the first of a number of players who may elect to leave Newcastle in the January transfer window or this summer.

Charles N’Zogbia – may want to move to Paris St. Germain

That will be even more true if the club doesn’t get the ownership situation sorted out soon, and instill some long-term stability at the club. At the moment we have absolutely none, with no leadership whatsoever being shown above Joe Kinnear.

French Under-21 International Charles told the Sunday Sun today:

“My agent is in regular contact with Paris,” “It could be as good a deal for me as it is for them.” “I am still under contract with Newcastle, but this would be a good progression for my career.”

“Newcastle know that I am looking for more playing time. If a transfer can be done, all the better.” “I am 22-years-old. I want to play.”

“I  must soon meet the leaders of Newcastle to take stock.”  “Paris’s interest flatters me. As a boy, I dreamed of playing for them. I always have.”

There was news last week that both Bayern Munich and Burrusia Dortmund are interested in the young Frenchman, who is too good to be warming the bench at Newcastle United.

And Charles will have a hard job meeting with the leaders of the club any time soon, we don’t have any, with Ashley still trying to sell the club.

But that sale is now looking increasing unlikely, at least in the short term, since apparently the two American Consortiums interested in buying Newcastle are nowhere near the Newcastle valuation figure.

Charles needs some starts at the club, and giving him a try-out in place of Damien Duff wouldn’t be bad, since there’s not much to choose between the two players.

We want to bring players in, not lose some of our best players in January.

    Kinnear is an absolute idiot.

Playing a 29 year old winger with no pace and end product over a 22 year old talent with pace, skill and whilst not an amazing amount of end product, a hell of a lot more than Duff (by name and nature).

Would like to see him stay. Dont like that he came out and said this, especially now, for the press to feed on saying everyone wants to leave.

If we got a replacement it wud be fine thou. Problem is then we need one more player in.

Charles Nzogbia is one player who’s never lived up to all the potential we believed he had…

Yes he’s scored wonderful goals but he’s not the type of winger that can turn games…he just isn’t that kind of player

If he wants to leave…so be it…out with the mediocre…in with someone way better

for all u know we might be able to shake this one off and end up with 6 mil we can spend on a better quality player…

N’ Zogbia always does this when not starting in the first team. Give him a few games and he says how happy he is here.
If he is not commited then bring in somebody like Skjelbred who will be fully commited to NUFC.
I think we should try and hang on to N’Zogbia tho, it would be a waste to let him go in his prime. Drop Duff to the bench for the Smoggies. He was good against Chelsea but that was only because it was his old team.

Well, if we get decent money for him it could come in handy, but without cover itll be the milner situation again. Where does kazenga play?

one at the top of his abilty and one on the way up . one is 22 the other is 28.. one spends a lot of time injerd the other just winges. duf zog duf zog …. for me its no a hard choice zog wins every time…..

the last few weeks duff has played i carnt remember him setting anything up…. strange cos jonas seems to set things up… and when replaced with zog .. he seems to create a lott more the duff….

on another note read the news of the world and for once our defence got praised a lot and beye in particular they said (Habib Beye proved himself a bona fide rival to Jose Bosingwa as the Premier League’s best right-back )

Can’t be the brightest of kids this Zogbia-lad. I’m seriously getting tired of he constant complaining, I’d happily take 5m for him.

Alternatively a straight swap with Sylvain Armand who is a fine left fullback.

Players complaining when being paid 30k a week I just can’t take, sell him!

So we’ve sold milner, forced the zog out by playing a player who hes twice as good as in his position, failed to tie down micheal owen. Hell, lets just tell oba he can find a new club to, might aswell just get rid of all of our talent.

Sorry jude but if we were going to let one of our left wingers go in january i know fine well who i’d rather see elsewhere. Charlie hasnt been able to show us what he’s capable of recently purely down to the fact that 95% of the time, Duff starts ahead of him, or when he does get on, its at LB. Wouldnt like to see him go at all if im honest.
He seems to have made a huge improvement as far as his attitude goes and i think given the chance (much like bassong) he’d give 110% to grasp it. End of the day he’s came out and said this because he’s sat patiently and he just isnt getting the chance. If your boyhood club comes calling for you at 22 and you’re sitting on the bench to let an old timer start ahead of you, before being braught on in the wrong position, you’re going to want to leave.

as far as i know zog has never complained about anything but starting, and getting games. I cant blame him either he’s a highly talented, young player who is being pushed aside by a player who has no future at this club. its depressing how we always find away to alienate our best players

I can’t believe the eejits on here who say Zog is overrated and never lived up to his potential… amidst a entirely depressing past few years with few positives, he has continued to develop steadily as a player of explosive impact. He has been dropped recently when he started the season as one of our few better players…. along with Martins and Owen – our most talented attacking player… who DOES deliver in key attacking situations – unlike Duff….
Kinnear has done a lot right at SJP but if he loses Zog because of his stubborn allegiance to Duff that would be catastrophic…
Should be Guti and Zog on the wings EVERY GAME !!!!!!

Dan??? Not commited… the boy wants to play… why should he remain commited to a club that don’t show commitment to him? Skelbred commited? How the hell do you arrive at that conclusion… his mam bought him an NUFC shirt when he was a kid…. are you serious? Grow up lad.

Duff and Zog are different types of players – not that similar. Duff is hard working but lacks spontaneity and dribbling skills any more. Even so, he’s useful a lot of the time because of his work rate and good attitude. Zog looks amazing when he’s brought on as a sub, and gives us real impetus…but most of the time he lacks cutting edge and hasn’t quite got the flare to open up defenses like, say, a Ronaldo has. Zog has drive and speed, but when have you ever seen him do anything really special with the ball that carved open a defense?
I’d be sorry to see Zog go though. I think we should refuse to let anyone go in January but ask all players to wait until summer to see how they feel, and what the set up is like then.

I have always said N’Zogbia is better than Duff. All Duff does is run, run, run and thats it. N’Zogbia can cross and score goals-just look at his goal at Boro last season.

I don’t blame him wanting to leave, he sits on the bench and when he does start its left back 🙁

    Micepie…nice observation

    Zogs got speed…no cutting edge…

Duff on the other hand can open up defenses..he’s not fast but effective…

Pretty much like Geremi..not fast but can put in the good ball…remember Taylor’s goal against everton?

Many say Zog is inconsistant. Hell who in this team isn’t!!! In my very cloudy crystal ball I see us losing Zog along with Owen, Smith (no great loss) and 1 or 2 others plus a goaltender. This will be not for purchases in the transfer window, but to line Ashley’s pocket, as with Milner. Picking up a player on a free and several on loan is not going to help the situation.

As if things aren’t bad enough for supporters we now have to put up with the comments of stupidly paid sulky players jumping on the bandwagon and making things worse. I liked N’Zogbia at first, thought he was young prospect with plenty of potential gunning for our starting eleven. But over the past 2 years he’s been nothing but a whining waste of space, his performances haven’t even lived up to the high opinion of himself. Footballers get paid too much as it is and as fans we shouldn’t have to put up with this rubbish.
