Kinnear In Deep Water – All Because Of Mickey Mouse

Just when we thought things were maybe getting a little better, Joe Kinnear has been charged with improper conduct by the English Football Association.

It was all this guy’s fault 😀

This comes after Joe had described the Barclays’ Premier League referee Martin Atkinson as a “Mickey Mouse” referee.

This follows Joe having been suspended for 3 games earlier in the season after describing an official at a Nottingham Forest game four years ago, as Coco The Clown. Joe was manager of Nottingham Forest at the time.

FA disciplinary chiefs had apparently written to the 61-year-old Irishman after the 2-1 defeat at Fulham earlier this month to ask Joe to explain the comments he made following the game.

After the FA (often referred to themselves as a Micky Mouse Organization)  received the letter from Joe, which was said to contain a personal vindication of Joe’s comments, by Mickey himself,  they further reviewed the case.  The FA have now charged Joe officially, and he has until December 12th to respond – that’s two weeks tomorrow.

Well it seems the FA haven’t much of a sense of humor after all, even though they appointed Steve McClaren as England manager, which most fans now agree was just a huge joke.

Maybe the English FA should lighten up just a little bit, and we hear through the grapevine that although Joe may have been accurate in his assessment of the referee following the game, that evidence has been ruled inadmissible.

Life is never boring with Joe at the helm, that’s for sure.

Comments welcome.

good to know that the FA has their priorities straight; charge Kinnear for calling the ref mickey mouse, and leave the deliberate elbow that cracked Ian Humes skull alone. Keep up the good work!

THE F.A. ARE PATHETIC! IF ONLY THEY DONE SOMETHING ABOUT REAL IMPORTANT ISSUES INSTEAD OF RUBBERSTAMPING THEIR AUTHORITY OVER SOME HARMLESS NAME CALLING-IN THAT CASE WHEN THEY GONA FINE PLAYERS FOR SWEARING AND SPITTING THEN? WHERE WILL IT ALL STOP? ITS SIMPLY BECAUSE HE IS NEWCASTLE MANAGER, ANOTHER WAY TO VICTIMISE THE CLUB AND MAKE AN EXAMPLE OF THEM! BUT ALLOW WRONG DECISIONS TO STAND AND LOSE TEAMS POINTS? AND ALLOW ELBOWS TO THE HEAD THAT FRACTURE SKULLS? THE F.A REALLY IS RAN LIKE A MICKEY MOUSE SHOW-FINES FOR MANAGERS SAYING SUCH HARMLESS THINGS? I MEAN COME ON! ITS SHAMEFULL-SHAME ON YOU WHOEVER DECIDES THIS RUBBISH!

Perhaps the micky mouse remarks struck a little close to home, honest to god charging jfk over calling someone a micky mouse ref (which he apologized for a few days later) meanwhile a player is almost killed by another and the FA can do nothing? Joke organization

That Mickey Mouse picture was a great idea. I couldn’t help but laugh when i scrolled down expecting to see Atkinson and saw him instead lol.

Although i must say that i have heard the phrases “in hot water” & “in deep trouble”…but i have never heard, “in deep water” lol.

Typical cowardly FA tactic , go for the soft target.
Never mind racism, coin throwing, the ignoring of appeals, which viewed retroactivly prove wrong decisions have been made.
Joe was right they are in fact a Mickey Mouse organization (no insult intended Mickey)

Joe is his own worst enemy when he shoots off his mouth. The FA will ban him from coaching from the bench and that lets down his team.

He is supposed to be an example. Some clubs fine their players for getting a red or yellow card. Joe is probably one manager who doesn’t, I am sure he encourages his players to follow his example. If it was club policy to fine players then Joe should also be fined for letting the team down.

There is only one Mickey Mouse in this case and its not the FA. Its Ashley and the dumb manager he has hired.

10 points out of 24 is what Kinnears record is, third bottom of the league and no money for new players.

Not much to write home about particularly when Newcastle have far better players than most of the bottom clubs. Most managers would get fired for that sort of performance but Ashley gives him a gold star. Great, what a load of cobblers.

I believe Ashley had no intention of selling the club at a price below 280 million, a price that is ridiculous in todays market when the average share price for top companies is down 40 to 50%. He has priced himself out of the market. Now we are stuck with Joe and his Mickey Mouse group for years.

Ashley’s other investment Sports Direct is now trading at a tenth of their value 2 years ago. His investment has dropped in value by hundreds of million pounds .Somebody should tell him that the value of football clubs are not immune from the recession.

Its a good job I dont have seasons tickets, I would be pulling my hair out.

What happened to freedom of speech. This charge is an absolute joke, it’s time the F.A. got their own house in order. 2nd rate officials are ruining the game, teams are losing too many points because of bad refereeing descisions and then they expect managers and players to keep quiet. F****** A***holes.

I suppose we have all used the phrase “Mickey Mouse” on numerous of occassions to describe something we ar not completely enamoured with and Joe Kinnear is no exception to this behaviour. However, this kind of expression has no place in front of the media, especially when it is directed against a match official so I’m afraid Joe will have to swallow his medicine and hopefully keep those types of remarks to a more private forum. That said, it is refreshing to see someone stand up and be counted and it easy to see why he carries a lot of respect with the players.

  • He is very, very good going forward and very dangerous with his pace. Can go missing in defence a bit but a great player.

MIM-absolutly, like i said its depressing sitting here watching them. 2-0, kanu. Fratton is absolutly bouncing. Ronaldinho and pato were waiting to come on and they’ve just stuck another in. Listening to 20,000 in there making the noise they are just makes me think of back in the day when 50+ used to make noise like that at SJP. fair play to them, deserved like.

    0
  • have Ronaldinho and Pato came on? I dont understand why you would play Inzaghi infront of them two.

  • Ronaldinho is on then 😆 Sounds like a great free kick.

MIM-Dinho’s free kick was brilliant, and the touch and turn from inzaghi for his goal was absolutly fantastic. two real pieces of magic from Milan. Unfairly nicking a draw as far as im concerned, Pompey deserved the win. The free kick given for Dinho to score wasnt a free kick, and Glen Johnson is really unlucky cos he won the ball for me. Dinho changed the game though, he’s still fantastic.

MIM-also gotta agree with 51 times. the man is a legend and one of the greatest goal poachers to play the modern game. He hit the post twice tonight and scored in the 91st minute. wait until you see his goal and you’ll understand, haha.
He may be old, but he’s still a fantastic striker.

Pompey did not deserve to win really, the only reason Milan didn’t bury them was the weather and Portsmouth’s ancient ground.

have to disagree 51, pompey outplayed them second half and their fans were fantastic like. they were unlucky, dinho scored that excellent free kick and they were under pressure for the final 10 and couldnt hold out, it was unlucky.
