Sebastien Bassong has become the Talk of the Toon over the last couple of games against Chelsea and Middlebrough, and now young Bassong is telling anybody who will listen, that Newcastle fear no team.
Sebastien Bassong – Talk Of The Toon speaks out
Bassong told the Newcastle Evening Chronicle today:
“We are not scared of any team now.” “We have shown that in our last two games, because both Middlesbrough and Chelsea have been left disappointed they could not beat us.”
“We are at home again and what I have discovered about Newcastle is that you must win at home.” “It does not matter who you play, you must win. I think we can do that against Stoke.”
Charles N’Zogbia has helped his pal Bassong settle down well at the club, and Charles is also back inb the first team after retunring in place of the injured Damien Duff at Middlesbrough last Saturday.
N’Zogbia has helped Bassong settle down well in Newcastle since the young defender arrived during the summer.
Bassong was actually brought in by the recruitment team that Dennis Wise manages, and Seba has proved to be a valuable signing for the club, and he could become a very valuable signing if he can keep up his recent form, which has been excellent.
Speaking of his fellow Frenchman N’Zogbia, Bassong said:
“I am very happy for Charles.” “I think he missed me when he was not playing!” “It was his first start for a long time, but he will keep on getting better and better.” “He is a very good player.”
“He gives us good attacking options. When he plays we have another attacking option in front of us.” “He is very good with the ball to his feet, and we saw that against Middlesbrough.”
“He got through a lot of running and put in some good crosses. We need him in the team.”
Seb seems to be becoming a bit of a young leader at the club, since he comes across as very down to earth and sensible for one so young.
He’s a good lad and could be come a very good player for Newcastle, as he matures and learns his trade.
It’s hopefully looking that way.
