Bassong Says Newcastle Now Fear No Team

Sebastien Bassong has become the Talk of the Toon over the last couple of games against Chelsea and Middlebrough, and now young Bassong is telling anybody who will listen, that Newcastle fear no team.

Sebastien Bassong – Talk Of The Toon speaks out

Bassong told the Newcastle Evening Chronicle today:

“We are not scared of any team now.” “We have shown that in our last two games, because both Middlesbrough and Chelsea have been left disappointed they could not beat us.”

“We are at home again and what I have discovered about Newcastle is that you must win at home.” “It does not matter who you play, you must win. I think we can do that against Stoke.”

Charles N’Zogbia has helped his pal Bassong settle down well at the club, and Charles is also back inb the first team after retunring in place of the injured Damien Duff at Middlesbrough last Saturday.

N’Zogbia has helped Bassong settle down well in Newcastle since the young defender arrived during the summer.

Bassong was actually brought in by the recruitment team that Dennis Wise manages, and Seba has proved to be a valuable signing for the club, and he could become a very valuable signing if he can keep up his recent form, which has been excellent.

Speaking of his fellow Frenchman N’Zogbia, Bassong said:

“I am very happy for Charles.” “I think he missed me when he was not playing!” “It was his first start for a long time, but he will keep on getting better and better.” “He is a very good player.”

“He gives us good attacking options. When he plays we have another attacking option in front of us.” “He is very good with the ball to his feet, and we saw that against Middlesbrough.”

“He got through a lot of running and put in some good crosses. We need him in the team.”

Seb seems to be becoming a bit of a young leader at the club, since he comes across as very down to earth and sensible for one so young.

He’s a good lad and could be come a very good player for Newcastle, as he matures and learns his trade.

It’s hopefully looking that way.

Did you see True Faith where some guy said (in a non racial way for all you P.C people) that Bassong at Middlesbrough reminded him of Robocop who’d been dipped in Tar!! I hope he goes on to get better and better and better

As much as I like Taylor Bassong has proved that he should be starting ahead of him, if nothing else it’s good to finally have competition for places in our defence,

I think he is doing fine at the moment. He will keep learning but this is a boy we need to keep and sign on long term. He he gave away a few balls last week but he is showing class and hopefully he can help us keep another clean sheet this weekend

If he keeps improving i can already see him as our future captain and a starter in the French national team.
Keep up the excellent work lad

I think Bassong has put up some excellent performances! No doubt that he is keeping Taylor as long as he is performing like this. Good to see competition for places in defense.

By the way, I saw heavy linked Skjelbred for RBK against FC Copenhagen yesterday. He was brilliant and I am now convinced that he will be a great buy for us! I really hope we sign him!

If Owen walks out the door in January I want Pogrebnyak of Zenit as replacement. Strong and big fightingspirit with great finsihing ablities. Perfect along Martins. He only has a year left on his contract and will be a great buy!

    Off-topic;

about KK’s 8M suit against the Toon, though I love KK as a character, I hope he gets nothing to be honest. It would be a mockery if he does.

I’ve used the News Now site for the last time. Do others have problems? I even used the site in temp jobs but it would sometimes be a little dodgy and just now my computer went ape-shit and opened a cascade of hundreds pf News Now windows at once. Best stick to Newcastle Blog site!

There you go Columbus, its 2 months old but its gonna happen cos my cousin from Munich confirmed me that’s very posible but at that time they were not sure how Podolski will develop….well after all these 2 months Poldi only got worse so i really see that this deal will get through.

Partizen: I though klinsmen recently said that Donovan was going to be their only acquisition for January. Podolski wants out though since he can’t break into the first team.

would live to see us get Pavel

guys we don’t need any more strikers! unless we’re gona play 235 we have plenty of kids who are hungry for goals. owen and viduka can leave they have a combine wage that could choke all of owens horses.

bassong coloccini; our new wall pairing. have a seat and watch and learn taylor

How we managed to get him on TRIAL before we signed him i will never now.

I cant see how other teams werent in for him (i no Everton were linked) seeing as hes a 22 year old that had alredy played for Metz in the French top division 78 times.

I reckon Colo and taylor are a similar style of CB with Colo being the better of the two. Bassong is the perfect compliment for either and that is why he should be starting. And its day 5 in the http://www.beyewatch.co.uk musical advent calendar lets get those voices going for saturday

@Partizan. Haven’t sen him play but I get some Argie league games here so I’ll look out for him.

Owen is gone, folks. Then if you can sell carroll/smith/Viduka (or let his contract expire at the end of the season, why not take a run at Podolski or another striker.

we could go with Oba, Podolski (or other), Xisco, Ameobi with ranger/Donaldson on the way.

I read where Bayern has Podolski valued at 15 million US though
