Newcastle Throwing Points Away

2-0 up at half time against a side who had just two points and 3 goals on their away travels all season. Add to that the Newcastle United defense had played brilliantly in the previous two games and hadn’t conceded a goal.

A win for Newcastle United? You would have thought so, wouldn’t you.

Newcastle fans – let down by players again today

But we’ve supported Newcastle for too long to take anything for granted with the team, and it’s interesting in our half time summary we said:

2-0 up and with our defense looking decent we should be able to hold on, but you never know.

And no holding back like we did against WBA, and nearly lost all 3 points several weeks back, after also leading 2-0.

Well the lads didn’t read the report at half time obviously, and the lads proceeded to do the same thing they did against WBA and give up the initiative to the opposition.

Only this afternoon, after being 2-0 up at half time, we conceded two goals and lost another 2 valuable points. At least against WBA we hung on to win 2-1.

We’ve been throwing too many points away with gay abandon, against the poorer sides in the league, and if we continue to do that, we’ll stay in relegation trouble, and deserve to be there too.

We don’t seem to learn from our mistakes, and this draw was really hard to take for the fans of Newcastle, after it looked all over that we had the 3 points, and it was how many we would win the game by. How wrong can you be.

The Portsmouth game can’t come too quickly enough.

Oh dear.

I am really looking forward to the additional players that Joe wants to sign.

And then I will compare it to the real list that Ashley is prepared to buy. Joe says what we want to hear but its all a con job as Ashley does not have the money to spend on players

Its all about stretching out the truth for the Newcastle fans and keep them happy week by week. I have been saying this since Joe arrived

Only one man to blame today and that was Kinnear, OK Guthrie was injured but to accommodate Taylor as his replacement by moving Jonas and Beye was farcical, they had provided some exciting link stuff in the first half and suddenly that was gone. JK got it hopelessly wrong and the whole team suffered, including Colli making a complete pigs lug of bread and butter situation to concede the first goal.

ffs just get relegated and i wouldn’t care what you do in the championship because this is too much to take.and most of you lot want ashley to come back to SJP, when all this is his fault. the root of this decay is there. if we didnt lose our inspirational manager we wouldn’t be in this position.

    run by idiots

yea the players want kinnear to stay as permanent manager, what suck ups! suck ups! u don’t go kissing around the managers butt to play, you go work ur butt off in training and matches to keep your place!

just got back from the match and i am f******g gutted and fuming, kinnear is an aboslute joke, you think he would have learned his lesson frfom west brom but no lets hang on lads even though when we attack they never had a hope. beye right wing never crosses the halfway line, guitterez put in the middle! HES A BLEEDING WINGER he cant play in the middle! after that just cant pass, cant attack and try and hang out for a whole half, ridiculous. makes it worse that the free kick they equalised from was never a free kick but the blame is on kinnear for this one. hes been harping on about getting job full time, doesnt seem to realise we have some SOLID fixtures coming up, ALL our easy games are over with and now we are in deep deep trouble. a must win game today and kinnear has ballsed it up. i am absolutely livid.

JK ‘s first priority should be points to avoid relagation. Unfortunately it looks to me as if he’s trying to put players in the transfer window who are past their best or surplus to requirements. Geremy, Cacapa and Viduka should go. Micheal Owen is likely to go so IMO the worst thing a manager could do at the moment is unsettle his other prize srtiker ie Martins who threatened all night and should have never been taken off especially for Viduka who isn’t capable of doing up his own laces without getting injured never mind running back to help with defence.

2nd half tactics were shocking as Stoke shut out N’Zogbia and Jonas was moved infield becoming rendering him inefective. Although Beye played relatively well he’s better off playing at the back where he offers stability to the defence. It would have been better to have put Taylor in the holding midfield role as he’s very versatile and also good going forward which he loves to do.

If we are to buy any players I feel that we still require a big forward who’s good in the air and can play on a weekly basis to help Martins out. We certainly can’t afford any more over paid/rated crocks.

As for the defence Enrique is looking better and better the more he plays. The key to getting good results is to have a settled team and for me a priority in the transfer market would be a natural holding midfielder to balance the play from front to back, (Guthry is very good but he needs license to go forward and he’s to similar to Barton).

N’Zogbia would always start for me and if Duff was fit to play on the left, (I’d let him go for the right offer), N’Zogbia would be my first choice as the creative midfielder we seem to keep on harping on about because he can launch a shot from anywhere and he’s one of the most creative and versatile players I’ve seen in a long time. He still has a lot to learn and he’s a long way from being the finished article as is Guthrie.

JK needs to be more positive. I don’t think he’s a bad manager and he’s done a good job so far with very little support. All he needs to do is learn from his tactical mistakes and be more positive. The worst thing the fans can do is start talking about sacking the manager which could potentially relegate us if matters don’t pick up.

Let down by the players ??? I think not the man to carry the can is JK with his total lack of TACTICS.What a pratt. Then with his cool headed thinking he manages to get himself sent off.Players will be queing up to leave this sinking ship that once the great NUFC .A leader not a capitulator is required at the helm.

Tactically inept, everyone but kinnear could see the man to stay on the pitch last week was martins.
This week as soon as he made the taylor/geremi change BIG questions were asked. Why????
He can get the team to dig in, but he doesn’t know how to go on and win a game. Too many changes occured when taylor came on.
Kinnear ….. very dodgy at times.
The NUFC story continues as it was.

“The Portsmouth game can’t come soon enough” Are you insane !! Do you think Pompey are worse than STOKE !!! ??? Todays game was a disgrace; the players should hang their heads in shame, and the “manager” should resign !! Yes, I realy do feel that strongly about it !!!

I keep on saying it and saying it, build our team around Martins, next Summer we need a player who compliments Martins and can if injury forces it play on his own up front in a Martins type of style.

We should buy Cisse, trouble is those that didnt know a good player when they saw one are starting to think the same, there may be a few bids in for him in the Summer.

We are more mobile when we build around Martins and less likely to concede.

Once owen is on, there is a player static at the front, or slow behind play, so we are one player down when defending, or short on a fast counter, if you listened to the Sunderland game like Martins, Cisse was back defending then going forward again, a very mobile striker.

If you cannot afford a fortune spent in midfield they are the better players to have. Owen’s scoring record is good, when he plays, the rest isnt that good when in a mediocre/small team.

I have always rated Gerami, he is slow but he picks players out with passes perfectly, the team never looks better with him off the pitch.

I watched the second half online and cant beleive what an absolute shower of sh*te we were.

I have exchanged texts with a few lads and we all think the same.

Championship fodder and looking more and more like it every week.

Someone explain to me that when we played Man U without a manager last year we went down 6 – 0 (if Im right) and Sunderland managed to only go down 1-0. That sums it up for me.

I AM F*****G sick of our team. We got the lead and should have kept it. Ok so we had to move people around but what the hell tactics and movements… JFK hope you seat is warm in the stands!

Every week it the same thing – why the hell cant we get 3 points.

    Frustration aint the word.

As a toon fan I am SICK of this abosolutely F*****g sick!!!!!!

Insane tactical move to bring on Taylor and juggle the whole defence like that, f*cking stupid! He should have brought on Viduka and switched 4-3-3, having Owen dropping into that link up role with midfield, a tactic which worked so well for us last year!

It’s a worrying time. I just fear our inconsistency, I never know how we will play, and that’s terrifying because I really have no idea where we will be at the end of this season. But I’m fed up with gutless performances like this, and Wigan, and Fulham! We are in a relegation battle and I doubt we will see much investment in January, despite all the noises being made by Kinnear. I do think a smart piece of business though would be Larsson on a free. Not long term I know, but we need every advantage we can get to survive, and he will give us at least 10 goals which would be invaluable!

joe kinnear is a f***ing idiot, maybe he should stick to football manager were his ridiculous tactical errors wont cost us a place in the premiership

moving onto a different subject for a while – cast your minds back to jk saying two days ago that people who’s conracts are running out are not interested in talking about renewing as ‘they want to see what offers they get in jan’ – remember? it was good to see owen come out last nigth and say that no-one has spoken to him at all about a new contract at all, jk has not said a word to him, and saying as owen is our best player and he can sign for another team in just 3 weeks time for a free it makes me think that jk is even more full of crap. he is a liar and bit by bit he is being exposed for what he is, he is denis wise on a pension. thats it. ashleys lying yes man. wankers, the lot of them.
