January Massive Month In History Of Newcastle

Joe Kinnear will meet with Dennis Wise this coming Tuesday to finalize their plans for the January transfer window, which Joe has called a massive month for the club.

Joe Kinnear – a massive month in the history of this club

Joe told The Sunday Sun today about his meeting with Dennis Wise:

“I am meeting him on Tuesday to finalize the players we want in January.” “I’m giving Dennis the details, so that he can go and get them. He has to bang on doors because I don’t have the time.”

“He has also come up with one or two he knows who are available. They’re plan B in case we can’t get the ones we want.” “Dennis is looking at players on Saturday and Sunday, and will report back up here.”

“We’re looking through all of Italy, Holland and Spain, as well as here, and bringing it down to about a dozen players.” “Those that I like, I start sending people out to see them so we know what we would be buying.”

“January is a massive month in the history of this club — a big turning point.”

Dennis was in Italy yesterday checking on John Arne Riise of Roma, and it looks like Joe and Dennis have a number of left backs lined up for potential capture in January, including Lucas Mareque from Independiente and David Obua from Heart of Midlothian, according to Joe.

It’s also interesting that our current left back, Jose Enrique, is showing improved form, although we definitely need to bring in a top-class left back in January.   Jose will still get a chance at the club.

And we’d like these new players arrive in early January, so we see the benefits immediately.

I do not understand why JFK is getting the backing he wants when a few months ago KK was basically ignored.

The club has gone to the dogs.

Obua, cant get a game at Hearts, struggles to make their bench.

Riise, past it for 3 seasons and not a nice person.

    Mareque, who?

If im being realistic I’d be happy with:

    LB – Bridge/Warnock/Baines
    DM – Topal
    AM – Koumas
    ST – Derbyshire

Joe is total rubbish. I’m sorry but I thought we would go on to win like 4-0 against Stoke after Owen’s second.

    Bastos of Lille?

Ye, he looks a great player whenever I see him, but we dont need another left-winger who can play left-back not very well, we already have 2 of those.

Desmond-totally agree. i kept up with the first half but missed the second, was sitting on a train thinking
“2-0 at half time, owen is surely on for a hat trick?…maybe we’ll bring viduka on and we’ll nick another? this could be the 3/4-0 we’ve been looking for with a solid performance”

i get a phonecall at full time to be told we’ve drawn 2-2, and was devestated.

    riise’s not a nice person?how so mate?

he startet a fight with carew on a national training. And is very disliked in norway because of his apperances in the media, looks to be a full of himselft on top of the world player. yes he was a great player for some seasons, but it all got to his head and has’nt played well for the last 2-3 seasons. He would deffently get in trouble with some of the our players like barton and he would thinkt that he is bigger than newcastle and would start wining about if he does’nt play all the time. He has a brother playing for lillestrøm in norway and he is just like him, and his mother, a football agent, has been mocked out of her home town and had to move because she is a horrific person. when her brother recently played at Aalesund (where his mother lived) he got mocked fr0m the fans and it was a very big issue in the media. His whole family is a laughfing stock in the media i norway.

he has also said that he would not like to play for any other team in england besides liverpool so he would demand a big wage and the fact he is 28 and have not played well for the last 2-3 seasons he would be a risk not worth taking. could end up with another geremi imo

Alanzinho should be a prospect for any clubs in the pl for january, he is the only reason that stabæk won the norwegian league this season and he is a great attacking midfielder but is a bit small and lacks in strengt but he would deffently bring in some needed creativity. Also he scores alot of goals for a midfielder.

This article is about 2 people who normally wouldn’t be allowed within miles of having any involvement in United, yet they are actually here with the power to make decisions abou the club’s future. This is how low we have sunk……..
It would only be a “massive month” if the dwarf were hoyed out on his ear, Kinnear was put out to grass – and Sir Kevin or Sir Alan took over….

I would be happy with Baines/Bridge for Lb……Another midfielder, either Topal or an attacking one like Skjelbred…..and maybe go after Ricardo Fuller…..he looked very dangerous yesterday, he would be a great buy for us.

Yeah why dont we go after Skjelbred, a decent attacking central mid player who we would get as hes said he wants to join for ages. Hes a newcastle fan.

Prob one of the only decent players we could get atm.

Here we go again who we would like Who we might get etc..etc..In the end we’ll get a couple of unheard of loans I doubt if they’ll be wait in droves to sign for a club that supposedly up for sale and looks increasing like it will be playing in the championship next season

    Elano at 27 is old?
    how absurd..
however it is true that he is injury prone.
    i think we should buy:
    striker,Chinedu Obasi and sell Owen.
midfield,Elano is lil bit unrealistic, but want him. Alternatively, Per Skijlbred.
    left back, Baines
    right back, no idea 😛

Chinedu Obasi Ogbuke is’nt a bad idea, but not for owen. He is wery similar to martins and creates chances out of nothing. And it can be a problem with a work permit. Dont know what his price would be either, but a very good prospect thats for sure

What price it’s the plan B players that come in – shades od Keegan and DW wanting his own way?

I think its pretty obvious that Wise will be picking all the players, its probably part of Kinnear’s contract to make the fans think he is the one making the decisions.
