Some good words about Newcastle United Football club and since it’s not from Joe Kinnear or The Newcastle United Blog, we thought we’d better publish it – quickly.
Tony Adams – Newcastle need rub of the green
Tony Adams has said that he believes Joe Kinnear’s style of football can help Newcastle United force their way into the Premier League’s top 10 this season.
Portsmouth manager Adams remembers well the games he played against Wimbledon, when Joe was managing the London side, often referred to as the “Crazy Gang” in those days.
Kinnear brings his Newcastle United to Fratton Park tomorrow with the Tyneside club having gone four draws on the trot, two at home and two 0-0 results away to Chelsea and Middlesbrough. But it’s still 5 games without a win for the Magpies – and we have no away wins at all this season.
Adams said today:
“His teams were very direct and physical and you had to get your helmet on playing against them.”
“Joe has earned the right to be there. I do not want to see anyone in this game lose their job and be left unemployed – it happens too often.”
“Newcastle just need to get a bit of the rub of the green, string some results together and they could be up there.”
“Maybe they will finish above Hull and stay in the top 10.”
Maybe we’ll get some of that tomorrow against Portsmouth and get our very first away win of the season – here’s hoping. 😀
Comments welcome.

oh you are talking about the transfers information. Well the reason for that is…that is exactly where i got it from lol. I specifically looked at our in & out transfers to clear it up as i was previously one of the people who was left baffled as to where our Milner money went. I must say, that has made me view the situation in a completely different light. Anyway, i have to leave now but will be back on later.

Comment #60k k forever – Wasn’t around at the time, but from what I’ve read and been told by family etc, Jack Charlton had a bigger gob than Kinnear ever could have. I can’t stand either of the Charlton brothers, I can’t wait until Bobby Charlton joins Busby in hell.

Comment #71RUB OF THE GREEN? – HA!
WHAT WE NEED IS A PROPER MANAGER! lOOK AT BLACKBURN, THEY WILL PROBABLY SACK INCE SOON, GET A NEW MANAGER, AND THEIR FORTUNES WILL CHANGE. BECAUSE OF THE PATHETIC REGIME AT NEWCASTLE, WE ARE STUCK WITH A RUBBISH MANAGER FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON. I’M TELLING YOU NOW, IF WE KEEP KINNEAR AS BOSS FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON, WE WILL GO DOWN!

Comment #72Blackburn aren’t doing well because they sold good players and replaced them with poor or average ones (Fowler?!) , just like us, we don’t have good enough players.
We need to stop looking at the manager instantly when things aren’t going well.

Comment #74Tottenham/Man U game – 0-0 No real chances, pretty defensive game. Lennon looked very good, improved alot since i saw him last. Modric also looked good, he’s getting more comfortable with his new team. Rednapp was definitely happy with the tie. The Spurs defense was also good, although Man U dominated possession, corners, and shots on target. But honestly, apart from Ronaldo’s goal off his own hand ball, no real good scoring chances. No spectacular plays.
