Jonas Gutierrez Wants To Win Every Game – Good

Jonas Gutierrez is one of the buys of the season for Newcastle United and he looks like a top top player, and how we actually got himn remains a bit of a mystery, but if we cannot other bargain buys like Jonas next month, we’ll be doing just fine.

jonas-gutierrez-34e1

Jonas Gutierrez – another top performance yesterday

Jonas told the Evening Chronicle today:

“The win against Tottenham was very important because before the game they were on the same points as us and we have now pulled away from them a little bit.”

“It’s a perfect start for us and we want to keep up the momentum.” “Charles N’Zogbia has got us off to a great start – it was a very good goal and well worked, with help from Shay.”

“Unfortunately we didn’t build early on and they got a goal.” “But we kept working hard and the winner was probably deserved.

“I was pleased for Damien Duff and Mark Viduka – it was good for them to combine for the winner after being on the bench.”

“This could be a very important win.”

Joe Kinnear has some options these days with Damien Duff, Steven Taylor and Mark Vudika all on the bench, and the competition for places will heat up even more once we get to February, and Joe Kinnear brings in up to 5 new top players into the club by then.

And speaking on the squad right now Gutierrez said:

“You always need players as back-up.” “Hopefully, Shola will be OK after picking up and injury and Oba Martins will be back as well.”

It looks like Shola is out for 10 days, and that will give a good chance to Mark Viduka to get some much needed match play on Boxing Day, since Oba Martins has also been ruled out for that game too.

That’s our next game on Friday against Wigan Athletic at the JJB Stadium, and it just turns out that we have a very poor record at that ground, since we’ve never won there, and that has to be good, because we can change that on Boxing Day.

The skillful Argentine, who seems to love it on Tyneside said:

“We want to put that to an end, of course.” “We must keep on trying to win every game.

“I think we have a good opportunity to win our first game at the JJB Stadium.” “It would be good to change some history.”

Joe Kinnear should probably be checking with Fabricio and Jonas, to see if there are any more good Argentine players available, who would like to play their football on Tyneside, since the both of them have been terrific buys for our club.

Roll on Friday!

Wigan will be fully rested,i really can’t see us winning overthere…..i hope same miracle happens to get away with all 3 points 🙂

Maybe too much rest is not good for Bramble……he’ll feel sleepy when we play them.

we can def win at Wigan – Jonas didnt have such a good game yesterday but has been the buy of the season for me, hopefully we’ll be able to keep him, bassong, collo, zogs and add a couple more – hey you never know a few wins and we’ll be banging on the door of the top six. on the other side of the coin a few defeats and we’re back in the bottom three – jeez the league is so close this season

Partizan, I have to disagree I reckon we are well able to beat them and will, I am being realistic not hopefull. I just hope Jonas can keep that level of workrate up all season, I can see Joe having to give him some games off so he don’t burn himself out. It’s not just Jonas though, the whole team has been putting in their share including Michael, it don’t half make a difference to results.

I’d like to see Jonas be a little more goal hungry. He seems to love getting involved in the build-up to goals but rarely shoots.

player of the season so far in order

    1. Guttierez
    2. Given
    3. Bassong
    4. Martins
    5. Coloccini
    6. Beye
    7. Guthrie
    8. Owen
    9. Nzogbia/Duff
    10. Butt

    12. Enrique

so far anyone can easily win it but it seems like the new signings are favourite

    Bill F,

I agree and think that why we should let the boys play the FA cup match(s). Give our 1st team a little time off. Prem survival and pulling away from the bottom is more important in my eyes.

I think that it will be tough match with Wigan being rested, but that doesnt necessarily mean that they will be the better side.

Im think we will play more defensive in the first and let them do all the work, then attack!

    have you seen Jonas’s freekick?

it’s great but Jonas is to kind and always lets others take it, never realised Butt had a cracking freekick though

I think we have a realistic chance of beating Wigan, although a draw is probably more likely.

Either way, I’m fairly confident we won’t lose.

    Grapevine News

Owen won’t sign – Ashley and co are playing games with the media regarding his contract in order they make out Owen is greedy if he doesn’t sign.

JK to get the job full time – he’s cheap (compared to KK, BSA etc) and will def keep us in the prem

Man U to come in for Jonas in Jan

Spurs to try and grab zogs to fill thier troublesome left wing problem

Arsenal to come in for Bassong (he’s young and french after all)

Taylor to start throwing his toys out the pram if Bassong doesn’t move

    Good news

We can def finish in top ten

Ashley will invest some money plus any money received from selling players

    jonas : 1, 5 m
    guthire: 2 m
    zog: 300 k
    beye: 2,9 m
    given: 1,5 m
    bassong: 300 k

    6 great players for 8,5 mil 😀 not bad…not bad at all…

Toongraeme and Bill f- the fa cup is important as it is a way to europe, I agree we let the youngsters have a go at the cup but not to many as if we have untried youngsters, it can be bad.

I agree with you both but we should make out that the cup is important

    ideal team for F.A. cup

    —————————–Harper———————-

    —-Beye—Taylor—Kadar—-Bassong—-Enrique

    ———–LuaLua———Guthrie———Nzogbia–

As much as I’d like to see us start blooding our youngsters in the cup, I’ve got to admit I wouldn’t start them. The cup competitions are vital to us this season as a possible route to silverware. I would give them more chances from the bench.

Real Mallorca are asking for 15million, but it is VERY unlikely they will get anything near that amount. We will probably have to pay them an additional 6million or something. I don’t think any NUFC fans mind though eh.

As Sunday he didnt – Friday he will! Its a stupid theory but hey – lets hope we have a new contract being signed also this week for MO.

5 new players? We need the 2-3 players KK needed in the summer, nothing has changed.

JFK’s done well again and beating Spuds atleast seems to keep AO off our blog 🙂 Or maybe he’s changed his name again…..to steve 😆

JFK’s team is passing well and trying to use the wings more but the defense has made the best improvements imo.

Ashley’s still a “*(*(” and will Owen sign?

I’d be surprised if we had to pay any more for Jonas. From what I read about the Webster Rule we played it very much by the book.
