Kinnear – Newcastle Fans Will Be Massive For Us Tomorrow

Kinnear has both suspension and injury problems for tomorrow’s game after Sebastien Bassong was sent off, and Jose Enrique, Habib Beye and Mark Viduka are now injured, and unable to participate in tomorrow’s vital game.

Joe Kinnear – squad is just not big enough

Joe said today:

“Liverpool is another game and another opportunity to get points.”

“It doesn’t matter what XI you put out you try to get the best out of them.”

“We always have a chance at home because of the supporters.”

“You can fire up players too but the fans are massive for us.”

Kinnear is right when he says the injuries we have had since he came to the club, only magnifies the fact that our squad has never been big enough for a year or two.

But Joe talks to Mike Ashley quite a lot, and he has got that across to Ashley, and hopefully we can remedy the situation in January.

Joe added:

“I have put that message across to the owners.” “I am one to look to the future.”

“And because of long-term injuries here we always needed at least three players to come in.”

“Now because of the latest injuries, we probably need four or five.”

“We will see what happens with Habib and Jose, but we need to do something about it because we don’t have the squad to cope with it.”

Joe will be concentrating tomorrow on how the lads can get an unlikely 3 points against Liverpool, because another poor result like yesterday will finish off  the year on a low note, and we’ve had far too many of those during this last year.

The crowd can be the 12th man tomorrow, and even though we will not have our full side out against Liverpool, whoever the starting eleven are, we still can get something out of the game.

We’ve just got to believe that, support the players throughout the game, and anything is possible tomorrow.

Weak heart never won fair maiden.

Comments welcome.

I just hope that he does not use Zoggy as left back tomorrow! He will get run to pieces if he does.
One saving grace is we do have Geremi as RB cover and I think this is his best position (apart from his lack of pace)

    I would hope he’d go

    Geremi Taylor Collo Edgar

    Jonas Guthrie Zoggy

    Ranger Duke Duff

I think if we try 4-4-2 tomorrow our central midfield will get mullered, might as well go 4-3-3 keep them on their toes a bit. But knowing JFK he’ll use his good old favourites above anybody else. Owen has had a bad past few games and his heart will not be in it tomorrow, might as well give a youngster a go!! Just hope that we get a few good creative solid players in January or all the good work done so far will be gone in a second!!

Ill be at the game but in the away fans 🙁 Should be a good en though

Not looking good for Jan, considering its been revealed that with the 3 players we’d bid for, we were 5-6 mil short of their clubs estimation. The fact that we now need 4 or 5 players thanks to lee cattermole, is worrying.

The squad may be depleated, but i’m certain the fans will be in good voice, after all it is Bobby Robson day.

I know it will be a great day for a great man. Just hope the score reflects the moment.

    Team for tomorrow:

    Edgar Taylor Colo Zog

    Jonas Butt Guthrie Duff

    Owen Carroll

    Bench (!)
    Lua Lua

(we could have 5 home grown players in our squad tomorrow)

By the end of the transfer window we should have :
    Smith & Barton back

I wonder whether Joe will buy defenders rather than midfielders now?

After reading comments yesterday i hope none of you lot are at the LFC game your support for the team is a disgrace and seems to be balancing on a needles thread. One moment praise the next slagging off. Wigan had their luck and theres plenty of fixtures that can really go our way in the not so distant future.
Anyway yes support will be a crutial aspect of tommorows game but i wouldnt shake a shit at any 1 of you posting on this site

I don’t blame JK for the lost yesterday. Our players are clearly lacking determination.

This great site unfortunately has its fair share of fickle, fair weather fans, that again unfortunately share in our passion of Newcastle United.

I think Newcastle United is not alone, when it comes to this new generation of fans demanding minor miracles game in, game out and when they dont get what they want the toys come out the pram.

I’ve been a visitor to this site for a while since i was lucky enough to come across it and during this season i have read comments about the players we should sell:

Thats more than a first team!

We live in the era of football manager!

Fans on this site choose players to buy or sell on the basis they are decent on a computer game for crying out loud!

We are all entitled to support the team in our own way, but it appears gone have the days when a hard working team, playing the right way is good enough.

I’m only 31, but there seems to be a gulf in opinions between mine and some of the youth on this site. Prehaps maturity will kick in some day, but until then………..

@The Entertainers – You’re right it’s ridiculous the amount of players that get slagged here. We should support THE TEAM and not individuals. Sadly it is a football manager world these days and that is plane stupid as it is a Virtual Simulation of the real thing, that doesn’t mean it’s really accurate. A great game nonetheless but it was ages ago when I was playing and decades ago I realized that not all that you see on TV or in Games can be believed. Some people here calling for Given’s head is shocking to me and I still can’t believe some of the things that are brandied about here at times. I am no genius but it doesn’t take one to notice that for some ‘fans’ here 110% commitment every time and an off-day or two is not enough for some people. We are the Best fans in the world but I fear we a re slowly losing that title with all this name calling, sacking and selling bullsh*t.
