Kinnear Looking To Attack This Afternoon At Hull

Joe Kinnear will resist any opportunity to rest some players today, and has vowed to play his strongest side this afternoon at the Kingston Communications Stadium against Hull City.

Joe Kinnear will field strongest team and attack

We will certainly be nowhere near full strength for the trip to Kingston Upon Hull, but the team will certainly be boosted by the return of the very promising Sebastien Bassong at center-back, who we seemed to miss big time last week, as he served his one match suspension for being sent off against Wigan Athletic.

While injuries are getting to be a major concern for Joe, he seems to be getting used to it by now at Newcastle, and the manager says that his mounting list of injuries will not distract this week from the preparations for the Hull City game.

Joe said today:

“We’ve got a lot of key players missing but I’ll be sending out my strongest possible side at Hull,”

“This is a big game for us and it’s a competition which I love to be involved in.”

“Maybe we should be keeping one eye on West Ham in the league next week but that’s not the message I will be giving my players.”

“We’ll be going out very attacking minded and looking to get the win.”

We are a little wary now when Joe says the team will go out and attack, because if you look back on games where we clearly had that strategy in mind, we haven’t done too well.

But this is a huge chance for the players to get some of their respect back after last week’s dismal performances at Wigan and against Liverpool at homne, and we just have to hope the lads will take the chance.

What do you think?

Well there’s no point in defending last week proved that we might as well go down fighting not like the lack lustre performance against Liverpool. Lets’s get some of the kids like Lua Lua in who want to play and are prepared to battle. We never got stuck in against Liverpool we just let them play & stood and admired them. Let’s get stuck in agaionst Hull today & get a bit of pride back.

We haven’t a hope, may as well put the kids in and rest the senior players for the west ham game which is vitally important. Lua Lua, Carroll, Edgar they should all play, rest Butt etc.
