Newcastle Fail In Loan Bid For Oustanding Chelsea Youngster

Good news – bad news today about a loan signing Kinnear wanted to make in January.

Michael Mancienne – great young Chelsea player

The News Of The World is reporting today that Newcastle have failed in a bid to take Chelsea’s 20 year-old Michael Mancienne, who has already been part of Fabio Capello’s England squad, on loan to Tyneside until the end of the season.

The bad news if that it’s been turned down, but the good news is that Michael is the type of player Newcastle should be after, even if it’s just for just a loan spell.

Michael, who stands 6’0″ tall, and has been at Chelsea since he was just 8 years old,  can play at either right back or center-half and we suspect the reason the loan has been turned down is that Chelsea manager Scolari may want to use the youngster himself, he’s that good.

Don’t believe the reports that Chelsea said they didn’t think the player would develop at Newcastle, that’s nonsense.

The Isleworth-born player has played for all the England Youth teams and has already made 10 appearances for England Under-21 side, and has been called up for the full England squad too of course, on 15th November for the friendly against Germany, he’s such a promising young player.

Mancienne was on loan for a couple of seasons at QPR, and played 58 times for the London club.

Joe would have wanted him to play at right back, in place of the injured Habib Beye, and he can also play at center-back. Any young promising player needs games to develop further, and he would have got them at Newcastle.

Chelsea manager Phil Scolari has only just recalled Mancienne from a loan spell at Wolves and obviously feels Michael will make the required progress working with Chelsea’s first-team squad, and maybe getting a few first team games before the end of the season.

Comments welcome.

What a sad state of affairs at this club. We are NOT going to get the necessary investment to push the club forward thats for sure. If we do survive this season its going to be the same next season and future seasons. I would rather we get relegated so the club loses value, atendences to drop below 40,ooo and for that fat mess to earn nothing.

Maybe then we might get a new owner and we can give shearer a chance. As long as this distgusting man is in charge we will not only be in the championship I can see us in league 1.

I know that Barcelona is run by its fans as are a few other clubs. Ashley wants a lot of money for NUFC because of his greed. Can the fans raise that amount of cash….i’m not so sure but i’m all for it if we could. I haven’t got two pennies to rub together lol so i wouldn’t be much of a help hehehehe but we need some rich Geordie’s and alot of fans to chip in. Unfortunately its a bit of a pipe dream but if it did happen it would drive the club forward

i agree we should own the club

it is unlikely and the campaign seems to have hit a rock

Why do we want him for he’s not as good as what we’ve got in the reserves. I really fear for my club I can see us doing a Leeds if we’re not careful. WHAT A MESS WE ARE IN

kadar is a left back tom we need a right back as well so it would have been a reasonably good move for us

not for chelsea he undoubtably got injured

Kadar is a CB, who can play LB, Taylor is good enough at RB to fill in.

Sadly enough this is all we have to look foward to.

Perhaps IF WE’RE LUCKY we’ll sell some players, Xisco who wasnt given a chance & no ones seen play to want to buy in the first place. Probably Zog etc

Then we’ll get in an attempt at a replacement for them. Knowing Ashley they’ll be cheaper players unproven in the prem in the HOPE that they’ll do alright.

The rest will be a couple of average loans to add to the squad. Because that went so well with Gonzalez.

How is it good news bad news Ed? it’s bad news all around while we’re owned by the WORST OWNER IN THE HISTORY OF FOOTBALL!!!!! if he’s not he f**kin eill be! I was listening to the legends phone in the other nite & heard this poor old fella on who has supported NUFC for 58 years, he was pouring his heart out to supermac saying that this is the worse he’s ever known it! even Slavin and Horsewell felt bad for the guy! this is the damage that Mike Ashley has done to our club. We need him out asap or we’re in the fizzy pop league! he will not give Joe a penny to spend and we will go down! sorry to be doom gloom but this is a worrying possability which could soon become a reality.

The best owner for me would be Enrique Cerezo….always comunicating with the Atletico Madrid fans.

Mike Ashley would never ever get away if he had done this to Partizan Belgrade.
    Results:
1-His house will be completely burned
    2-His shops wrecked
3-Stadium seats will be flying on the pitch
4-His life and the lives of his family will be in danger

There are so so many things the fans could do to spit their rage on some greedy owner like Ash.

Napoli…….Can’t remember which season was that exactly…..was in the late 90’s when they’ve won only 8 to 12 points(can’t remember) in the whole season and got relegated.

Is this what we have been reduced to. Loaning a young kid from another prem side. You also read that we have to sell Xisco to scrape the pennies together. Ashley is the cancer of this football club.

I live in London and this he was 1 of my sisters mates at my school. He had been quality moving up from chelsea reserves to qpr then wolves and now chelsea first team. Would be worth putting in a decent bid for him.

dan 157,i think mancienne looks a good young player, seen him a couple of times for wolves.
the lad is big strong athletic has good pace, skill on the ball ala rio ferdinand, and was recently included in the full england squad.

Kadar and Tozer are both well worth a chance and both are probably bette than Taylor who is a shambles of a centre half. He does ok at right back but at CB is awful. It’s clear though that Ashley isn’t gonna spend a penny. Why loan a player you can’t buy? Chelsea won’t sell him so let’s develop what we have. Also, Godsmark scores and creates goals galore for the reserves, is twice as productive as lua lua so why not give him a chance? He’s also as quick as any player at the club, something we badly need.

Don’t exaggerate how bad Taylor is. He’s made a few mistakes, but he’s still a young lad. We’re not good enough to be slagging off any half decent player who’ll give his all. Enough respected pros think highly of him. Cut him some slack.

leopards dont change their spots,in the same way ashley will never change his.
he already said in his statement that he would run the club in a responsible manner,in other words penny pinching.
wouldn,t suprise me one bit if we have to go with what we,ve got till the end of the season.
if kinnear lets himself get shafted in the way keegan didn,t to keep himself in a job,i will lose the little bit of respect i had for him.

all ashley had to do was back keegan, and let him do it his way.
i think keegan was capable of delivering a top six finish, and we would have done it in style.
whether you are for or against kk i think he was capable of the task,no ashley has employed a man who can only deliver the bottom six.

Maybe what fat mess wanted to do was get the club back into europe and then list the company back on the stock market but do it without spending any money and then get a windfall kinda what he did with sports direct.

I just wish Joe would stf up with all the looney, half-assed contradictory statements. … Perhaps he’s just being really clever and we’re not seeing it yet?

i,m sure there would be the odd person who might get violent, but burning houses down threats to his family no.
in fact he has already tried to pull that one saying he was in threat of his life and his family, who apparently attend every home game.
