It’s another Sunday and another statement from Charles N’Zogbia in the Sunday Sun, saying that he wants to leave Newcastle United.
Charles N’Zogbia – my dream team is Arsenal – next installment next week
This is getting to be a little tedious, and Newcastle need to decide if they want to sell him, and if they do serll him. Or alse tell Chgalres to stop blanting about alwwantintg to leave Newcastle, because this is getting to be just a little tedious.
And we probably expect Charles to come out tomorrow and say he was misquoted – we’ve read this story before – far too many times.
His latest quote in this soap opera is that his dream team is Arsenal — and Kinnear’s insistence that the Frenchman is happy on Tyneside becomes debatable at best.
N’Zogbia said (or is said to have said):
“I told Newcastle that in case of possible transfer, I will do anything to leave this winter. If the club receives a nice offer, they will try to transfer me.”
“I ask myself questions about my future. At Newcastle for three years we are playing in the bottom of the league.” “I want to win titles, and I have set myself high objectives, like being in the French team.”
“I am used to English football, so my priority is to stay here.” “Arsenal is the club that makes me dream the most in the Premier League.”
“France? I don’t know it very well! But I think about it. Lyon is a very, very good club. PSG is currently in a very good period.” “If I have to be transferred there, I would have no regret. It would be a good choice.”
Joe Kinnear must get a grip on this youngster because his quotes are starting to annoy Newcastle fans. The player is on contract at Newcastle, and he should be concentrating on playing well for the high wages we pay him, and not telling journalists about different teams he wants to join. Charles – please grow up.
We have to stick to that well worn strategy at Newcastle, that we only want players who want to play for Newcastle United, and if Charles wants to leave then get rid of him, but not in the January window. because we’ll need him through May.
In the summer if he hasn’t changed his tune by that time, then sell him – but for a good price – again at the club’s option.
Comments welcome.

Beyethegreat, they didn’t really talk Given up either, not till the statment, they don’t really seem to have a clue about here.
But I don’t think Kinnear is that impressed with Harper, the way he’s going hell bent to keep Given, the way he’s saying he’s the best keeper in the Prem by a mile..etc. It’s got me thinking he doesn’t rate him much.
well he is the best imo ut yeah it does show a little lack of faith
or it could be that he is worried harper wont sign a new contract

we are not in turmoil yet , If the players that have been mentioned by the press are sold without adequate replacement then we are in turmoil , or as i would say totally fu4ked . That will not happen though ,Ashley will protect his investment by bringing players in to avoid relegation .

Comment #48Time for Charlie to be shown the door.
Fine him 2 weeks wages for constantly mouthing off and immediatly offer him out to clubs. hopefully we can get a bidding war going and have it done inside a fortnight so we dont have to pay him another penny.
End of the day he’s kiddin on if he thinks arsenal or any other top four club are gonna come looking for him. not a hope in hell.

Charles N’Zogbia Gangster Rapper
Newcastle United

Remember the days when the Newcastle dressing room had more bad attitude than a RUN DMC video?
Let’s go back to those sullen bad attitude days where all that mattered was the size of the ice in your ear and who could stir the most trouble amongst the team and make a mockery of one of footballs truest Gents Sir Bobby Robson.
I am referring to Dyer, Jenas and Bramble and now we have a new petulant gangster on the block in Charles N’Zogbia.
I suspect he will end up at Spurs or Arsenal reserves, is anyone really bothered if he goes and do you agree Newcastle will be a better club without silly hip hop gangsta wanabees that are clearly more interested in acting like pop stars than passionate footballers.
Hopefully Keegan will keep this petulant behaviour from our club and send Charles packing pronto.

Comment #51Why would any of the title challenging teams either here or abroad want charlie, he doesn’t even stand out as a class player in our team. Top teams will only buy your first choice every week class players. The fact is the only teams he could possibly be transfered to would be teams in a similar position to us and teams in our position will not pay our wages so he might as well keep his gob shut or he will be transfered to a club where they won’t pay him the type of money that keeps him in the bling bling he’s acustomed too. Arsenal my arse, if wenger rated him he would have picked him up before we did when he was playing at Le Havre.

Comment #52It would be sad if he left. Again his departure would be an opportunity for someone else. I think his pace is a great asset, but his crosses and direction needs work. He has great attributes and perhaps Newcastle is not the place at which he may realise his potential.
A bit like Jenas when he was at Newcastle.

Comment #53It’s the same statement made a few weeks back only repeated by the press. He says he would like a move there if he sees we go nowhere. I can agree with that, who would want to stay in the state we’re in. Given is thinking the same things and he doesn’t get stick. I know N’Zogbia has said it before but it was ages ago and he is playing much better now. We can’t afford to sell him not until the summer at least. I would try and keep hold of him in summer too but it depends if we’re still in this league.
PS..This has been the most painful season I have had to bare and losing our best players will only make it worse and make us a worse team.

Comment #54Just like Taylor he believes he’s all that and neither are if the truth’s known. I also hope we dont sign anymore Frenchies as I dont feel its conducive to a united dressing room, they all stick together and speak in French and dont appear to mix with the rest of the lads allegedly !
Get rid of him, has ideas above his station and has a lot prove.

Comment #55If he really wants to play for a top 4 club, he ought to start playing better than he is on a consistent basis. Then he’ll get his transfer and we’ll be hauled out of the crap we are in.

Comment #56Let him go as fast as we can but in term of we can get enough money or get someone replace him too.
