Newcastle Agree Two Loan Signing Fees

Joe Kinnear was interviewed on Sky Sports today and he says he’ll know within 48 hours whether two loan signings, for which the fees have already been agreed, come through.

Joe Kinnear – two loan signing fees already agreed

Joe made a point of adding they were two expensive loan fees for two players.

This is what Joe Kinenar told Sky Sports today:

“We’ve got one or two players, again because it’s an emergency situation at the moment, who we may be taking.”

“We’ve agreed a loan deal for two players, two expensive loan deals, again through the end of the season, because of the crisis we’ve got injury wise.”

“I’ll possibly know about these within 48 hours, and if that is AOK  we may be in a better position for the Blackburn game.”

We’ve got to think these two players are very decent if the loan fees are high, and Joe seems hopeful they will come through, and before the Blackburn game possibly, so they could be part of the squad for that game.

That sounds good news, because we knew we would make loan deals, so better get those in as quickly as possible.

And with Peyter Lovenkrands due to sign a deal through the end of the season on Friday, that could be 3 new players in through the end of the season, and we think more players to follow.

Kinnear said he knew Lovekrand’s agent many years ago and when he heard Peter  was available last week, he immediately brought him to Newcastle.

So the link with Lovenkrands came through Joe, and remember the former Wimbledon manager knows lots of scouts who keep him well informed on good up and coming players.

Joe told Sky Sports Peter’s done extremely well in training over the last two days, and the player has already been offered a contract and verbally accepted it.

Things may be getting better – hope so.

Let us know who you think the loan singings are – we think one could well be John Arne Riise.

Howay The Lads!!

I’m still sceptical as Joe hasn’t always told the truth, but fingers crossed they are decent.

trejo-on loan unlikely. also other positions to fill
    cavenaghi-on loan???
sorin-would be very happy with him on loan
riquelme-come on, he’s hit and miss and not suited to the speed and power of the prem. world class on his day though 🙂

    Maradona & Baresi!
About as educated of a guess as anyone else!
lets not spout names off about people who we wish and want, cause really, we dont have a clue! The fact that Ed wrote Riise about either an Argie and Italian only goes to show this ( sorry Ed 🙂 )Though an optimist, if we talk about players who will never come, we will only be disapointed when others do come, dont forget JFK also said other teams are talking to them, so lets just wait ehhh….

i reckon we should be all over steven finnan on loan till the end of the season. Espanyol would be happy with no fee and for us just to pay his wages me thinks

Certainly seems as though the recruitment team is against long term appointments, but I thought that as long as Mike was around, Joe would be too?

Maybe MA’s confident of completing a sale.

Lets just hope this isnt another of Kinnear’s throwaway comments which get the fans hopes up and then dont actually happen.
If the past is anything to go by, I would say that we will probably get one of them, and I would hazard a guess that it will be the Argie due to the current links to the squad (Colo and Jonas).
Only time will tell though….here’s hoping they both go ahead…

blip. kinnear is only down till the end of the season. mike might reasses things then cos if he cant sell till the economy turns round (which may take 3-4or even 5 more years) then he might think it best to get in a better manager for the longer term. (i mean we’re hardly doing fantastic with kinnear in charge)

Argentine – Higuain, Heinze, Tevez, Gago, Zarate, D’Alessandro

Italian – Zambrotta, Cassano, Grosso, Aquilani

Those would all be very expensive loan signing although i don’t really know if any of them have been playing regularly for their clubs lately.

Personally i would love to get Vargas from Fiorentina but i don’t think we have anywhere near the funds.

Can’t say I’d be too disappointed if Kinnear left, but to be fair he’s not doing a bad job, given the tools at his disposal. At least we’re becoming quite hard to beat – just need a new LB and someone to replace Butt and we might just turn some of those draws into wins.

I was thinking of the guy from independiente. I think Joe watched him play while he was scouting in South America. But I imagine he is playing and wouldn’t be a loan.

yeh blip, good draw at chels = hard to beat

but then again home draws with wigan, stoke and wham isn’t exaclty my idea of a good result!!!!!!

KKK, I think all those players except Tevez and maybe Aquilani are potentially realistic shouts! maybe not zarate either

ill throw a couple more names into the ring, in the form of Ever Bange (dm not playing at valencia who we obviously have contact with (gonzalez) and also i’m not sure materazzi is playing at inter though i know he got injured)

I hope we are not getting our expectations up as usual. It will probably turn out 2 ways:

    1. The deals fall through.
    2. The players aren’t who we were expecting. Fabrizio Ravanelli springs to mind.
