Lovenkrands And Loan Signings In Trial Game Next Tuesday

28 year-old Danish international Løvenkrands, will now play in a trial game next Tuesday, apparently along with the two players Kinnear is hoping to sign on loan, and then Joe will make some decisions.

Peter Lovenkrands – trial game next Tuesday

Joe said today what was happening next week, and don’t forget after Saturday game we have 11 days off till our next game at Eastlands against Manchester City a week on Wednesday, so we may well have a few of our new players in the team by then – fingers crossed.

Joe said today:

“We will have them (the potential loan signings) behind closed doors in a training game on Tuesday to see if they come up to scratch because we haven’t actually seen them play,”

“One of them had a long-term injury and I want to see how his fitness is.

“Peter will take part in the game too and we will decide on him after that.”

OK, well there is another hint on one of the loan signings, he has had a long term in jury, and presumably one is an Argentine and one is an Italian, and we’re a little surprised the names have not leaked out yet – becasue Joe is hardly any good at keeping secrets after all. 😀

But the good ners is if all goes well and the three players look good enough, then that’s 3 new players in, and Joe will have had a personal look at them too, before singing them, whihc is even better.

It also looks like we’ll also be signing 18 year old Brazilian Cai Ferreira, who we are told is an excellent young prospect, and of course we have the £5M bid in for Stephane Mbia, and we would hope to hear something on that one shortly.

Things may be looking up, but they need to, that’s for sure.

Comments welcome.

Maybe we are still in for them loans then yesterday. It looked like Joe had been spouting more rubbish y I dont have clue about Argtentinians who have had a long term injury but it should narrow down the search 😉

So the week long trial of Lovenkrands wasnt a week after all – I presume they have picked something up with him and want to test it out in a proper match. Doesnt sound good to be honest.

And I thought we were going to have an answer on all four of the potential new players (2 signings, 2 loans) by today???

I am a fan of Joe, but I have to agree, he really should shut up unless he knows something for definite, because contradicting himself constantly really is quite embarrassing!

Turns out the Neil claim is more baloney. He ain’t coming. Shame about Finnan though.

Good article on Big Sam at Newcastle prior to our Blackburn match here :
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2009/jan/15/sam-allardyce-newcastle-united-blackburn

Finally, Crazy Joe says FatAsh will address the fans through the media when the window closes after 2nd Feb…. Can’t wait, myself.
But why keep us in suspense? If he’s got sommat to say, let’s have it. Is this supposed to keep us quiet and muzzle protests until its too late if none of the significant transfers we need and are promised are actually delivered on?
If he’s hoping to capitalise on the wave of good feeling following a victory against the Mackems at SJP its a very risky strategy. Just ask Ruud Gullit : – If we don’t get some backing in the meantime and, god forbid, the mackems get a result, please don’t choose this one for your comeback in a Toon top.

    Ashley, you have been warned.

And don’t think I’m saying this for your sake. The reputation of NUFC has been sullied enough since your egotistical, ill-considered whim to own a football club ‘up north’ became a miserable, disastrous reality.

So currently the most we could get is a –

28 year old Danish international L Winger/ Forward

    ? Italian CM loan

    ? Argentine CM loan

    18 year old Brazilian Forward

22 year old S Mbia CM bid £5M

Lots of CM which is good and what we need but no fullbacks ??? 🙁

i heard that Real Madrid are saying they will let go of Javier Saviola, and that Newcastle have perhaps shown interest.

no idea, but saviola used to be decent, argentinian, could work well with our man guttierez on the wing.

dont u all just love rumours though rlly 😛

i mean for all i know thts bullcrap, but i can hope! even in times like this

Ok lads – so we had an offer declined that we made.

If we are serious, its up to Dennis Wise to go back with a counter offer or leave alone and go elsewhere.

I think we all knew £5Million would be too low.

Nothing to say a counter offer of £8mil wont tip the balance.

All aint lost – yet and its Friday so dont expect owt til next week.

About this match on Tuesday. Trust me if Lovenkrantz had any thought of his time being wasted he would be off. Ive got a feeling (however probably wrong) we are gonna announce 3 signings (1 + 2 loans on Wednesday).

God knows where I get the optimism from – not from our string of excellent results (sorry bout that).

I they thought Lovenkrands was any good they would know by now.

    Must admit doesnt look good.

Hope we dont sign him for the sake of it.

Makes you wonder why he was a free agent, getting very injury prone and losing his pace perhaps, doesnt happen for nothing.

Remember usually you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

The most we can hope for at this moment in time is that Lovenkrands turns out to be like another Sibierski and the two loan players are half decent.

Why would Mbia want to come here after reading what N’gobLiar has said to the French press?

Bloody hell, some people are just far too quick to pull the trigger. Get a grip you lot. So we had out initial bid turned down. That always happens in any walk of life, unless you are offering something way over the odds that the selling can’t refuse. Cars, Houses, football players, the buyer always goes in low, expecting to be rejected. The seller start high and they meet in the middle.
But in the case of NUFC, it’s instantly the fault of Ashley, he probably spent it on pies or on the spin of wheel. Ha ha ha. It was never funny and now it’s tiresome.
Is it any wonder that we are mocked as fans when as soon as something happens we are slitting our throats or downing the gin and sleeping tablets.?
If nothing happens then so be it, have your say via your bed sheet if you must, but to stomp down on the management of the club before they’ve even had the chance to try something else is ridiculous.
Just remember past results are no indication of future performance.

I am willing to come one here and admit that I was wrong, should nothing happen in this window, are you? I’m willing to bet that not one person who is so against the club management that they actually taste bile when they speak would come on here and say – Well done Ashley, Wise, Joe and sorry Waddles Mullet and David Craig you were right.
    Instead there will be silence.

I think that Lovenkrands is a really smart forward and if he stays fit could be a great player for us.

Remember how people were talking bad things about Sibierski, yet he gave as a decent season and a lot of experience.

Schalke 04 play attacking football, so let’s hope Lovenkrands will bring some energy to out attack!

you know what, for all jfk’s hot air every day in the press – what hacw we axctually got so far – no-one. One possible free agent til the end of the season and two loan signing who he has never seen play before, one of which coming back from a long term injury. in other words, no investment again from fat ashley.
i would question jfk on the lucas job too, why gob off about it on the ssn when he knws he has not even gone through west ham to talk to the fella. also, the Mbia bid which we all know has now been rejected – why come out and say the exact amount we have bid for him?? to my thinking, its almost like he wants the deals scuppered and does not really want the deals to go through. none of it makes any sense. we have two weeks left, all we will get are some shit loan jobs and at least one of our players sold – in other words, a weakended team, not strengthened and more cash in our greedy fat owners pocket.
