Haris Vuckic and NK Domzale Quotes On Newcastle Signing

Thanks to one of our readers in Slovenia, Uroš, for sending us information from the NK Domzale web-site on our new signing, top Slovenian 16 year-old youngster Haris Vuckic.

This includes quotes from the youngster himself and words from the President of the NK Donzle club about the deal, which they seem very happy with.

haris-vuckic

Harris Vuckic – 16 year old top Slovenian footballer

Haris Vuckic had the following to say about his move to the Newcastle United club:

“I feel great. I’m delighted to come in such big and well organized club.”

“The players have really welcomed me and also the Newcastle United Board.”

All I can say is I’m looking forward to the beginning of the adventure which is ahead of me.”

Harris is the youngest player ever, at 16 years old,  to play in the Slovenian First Division (SFD), but because 16 year olds are not allowed to play in the SFD,  NK Domzale were penalized some league points because of this.   😀

The President of NK Domzale talked about the deal and Newcastle United:

“The English watched Haris for a while.”

“They tested him, and Newcastle United watched him in Domzale matches and also in matches for the national team. “

“They showed they wanted him more then any other club, and that’s the reason he came here.”

“He passed the test at Milan, but we all felt that Newcastle United was the right choice for him.”

“People asked us why we sold him, but we want to give our players who get big opportunities a chance.”

“To get to better places where they can progress. Even more, we want to help them and stand by their side.”

Financially Newcastle United asked the Slovenian club not to talk to the press about finances. Haris is now getting a scholarship, and at 17 years old he’ll sign a 3 year professional deal.

When he gets to the first team squad his wage will rise and over this time-frame NK Domzale will get payed in several payments .

Dennis Wise was in charge of this transfer and Newcastle manager Joe Kinnear also had a meeting with the Domzale board, and the player himself, and after that, the youngster practiced with the Newcastle United players.

Well we may not be doing well with the senior squad or signing the experienced players we need right now, but the club – to give them a little credit – seem to be doing a very good job of signing these top class youngsters.

Now if only we can survive until all our great youngsters mature and come through the ranks.  😀

Here’s hoping.

Comments welcome.

Just to go over his quote:

feel great. I’m delighted to come in such big and well organized club.”

    – Organized? You will learn much young one!

“The players have really welcomed me and also the Newcastle United Board.”

    – What Llabiarse speaks?? Shut up.

All I can say is I’m looking forward to the beginning of the adventure which is ahead of me.”

    – Mate we are looking at the end of our premier league adventure!

Seriously. I am all for young talent but at some point they are gonna need to be tested in the ‘real world of football’.

Take fergie’s cup run policy – uses the young ones in a mix with the 1st team. He doesnt seem arsed if they go out of the cups.

    Welcome to the toon son.

Any official announcement from NUFC – you having a laugh aint ya.

Just watched the NUFCtv video snipped (all one min and 30 secs) which consisted of a camera on Barton. Saw the goals. The Carlisle was like the first team on Saturday, f’ing alseep and then we saw a shot of the Ba*tard that is Llabiarse.

Showed a shot of him and Kinnear. He had his sun glasses on again – its bloody grey and minging outside. You COCKney tw*t.

Hate that man and cant put my finger on it.

The finishing line was that any signings will be announced on NUFC.co.uk and NUFCtv.

Is that a hint or a joke?

Everyone in the world finds out about our signings apart from us!

Wjay haven’t the club said anything??

They took an age to letus know we’d signed Collocini!

Feel like everyone is just repeating theirsleves but fck me the communication at our club is non-existent!

    Hint or Joke!

    Joke I would say!

On a more serious note, will NUFCtv be showing Carroll vs N’zogbia? I would have paid to see that little git being taken down a peg or two.

@ Toon Graeme – They probs mean the signings of the young ‘uns that were on trial.

I just cant see any new signings coming in any time soon. I am usually very optimistic but i just cant see any positives at the moment, and i really wish to be proven wrong.

fisty cuffs always happen at training grounds between players. Just normally not many people find out about them, but Newcastle always seems to leak out information.

Maybe he thinks he’s signed for spartans, i’m sure they’re more efficiently ran than we are.

As i said in a previous post RE charlie vs carroll-clearly lonsdale is the right choice of kit sponsor after all.

Still no signings… 12 days left, what can we realisticly hope for? !

I’d say one signing and a loan deal, hopefully a midfielder and a defender. If Wise stops wasting his precious time finding these teenagers we might be able to bring in some new faces…

My predictions: Jimmy Bullard for 6m and Lucas Neill on loan.

To be fair to Wise, it’s not all that easy to recruit players to a club in a mess, with limited resources, an owner who wants to run away from the club and a useless manager.
