Kinnear – Lovenkrands Was Excellent Yesterday

We are getting some word about how some of the players played yesterday, and indeed Newcastle will be signing Petter Lovenkrands through the end of the season, after Joe Kinnear has today said he thought Peter was excellent in the friendly game yesterday.

peter-lovenkrands-234

Peter Lovenkrands – was excellent yesterday

Speaking on Peter Lovenkrands, Kinnear told the Evening Chronicle today:

“I’ve passed it to Derek Llambias, who is talking to Peter’s agent.”

“He’s thrashing out some sort of deal to the end of the season.”

“I thought he was excellent yesterday, and he’ll be an extra player for us. He’s done very well.”

So that’s some news we have been waiting for.

We assume that’s one through the door, even though it has cost the club nothing but wages for the Danish International.

Now we need five or six more through the door, in the next 12 days.

We could start by signing 20 year Finnish youngster Jukka Raitala, who from what we can gather, looks a good defender, who prefers left-back,  and is only too willing to come to Newcastle United.

Comments welcome.

JK once said Lovenkrands is as fast as Martins…If that is true I wouldn’t mind him joining us because our team lacks pace.

Get him done and dusted then move on. Especially to Rialata, and the hungarian winger, then get in a central/defensive midfielder!!

The 2 loans didn’t play, so we can assume we won’t be getting them!

If Lovenkrads was excellent, how come we lost?

I hope the FINN gets signed too!

Kash – we drew fella. We went down in the 6th and watching the vid on NUFCtv the defense was just like on the 1st team and the Taylor equalised in the 60th.

@Rem – Sorry meant drew. Well in all fairness, we played Carlisle, and they’re not that great. And considering we had Barton, Geremi, Taylor, Xisco and Lovenkrads playing along with some foreign youngsters who are meant to half decent. So the side should have been strong enough to overcome Carlisle, who I wouldn’t expect to put a full team out against us!!!

@Beye – Read it somewhere, maybe the journal!

I would hope we get top dollar for given. If they were gonna spend £107 mil or somit on KaKa they can pay an over inflated price to us and maybe then we can splash the cash on some players in this window.

Still concerned that harper aint signed though. I can live without Butt, but with Given gone we need a no 2 and if recall Harper was excellent when given was on the sick.

I think fudge it 4 – 3 – 3 on citey and gan for broke.

Not gonna happen though as were stuck with the 4 4 2 man!

If Kinnear didnt like 4000 away fans giving him their view on how crap he/team is then wait until he is back home in SJP with chants echoing around the stadium.

That pressue for you Joe – its upto you what you come up with.

    Right this is stupid:

Boro about to seal deal for Chris Eagles – Personally I like this player, always have, and can have a similar impact as Guthrie

Wigan looking to sell Kapo – Why aren’t we in there trying to get him???

Appiah deal on rocks due to Palacios deal – Again, why aren’t we in there trying to sign him?

Thats 3 midfield players, who wouldn’t cost the earth and would definitely improve our midfield!!!

    MADNESS!!!

not newcastle related but spurs have signed carlo cuddicini for 1 million. I was hoping we might go in for him when given leaves.

Boro are close to signing ben watson from palace who was a kinnear target.

Sunderland hope to sign Mido from boro.

    That is all.

@Super.trooper – All we can hope for this season is mid table at most. Hoever, that will definitely be alot higher than what Spurs will be at. They are in dire trouble, especially with all the rumours of a split dressing room, and player revolt going round (apparently JJ is one of the ring leaders)

I like Eagles, plus he’s a ManU reject with something to prove….similar to Guthrie. he can play in numerous positions, and if cheap, then why not?!

Kapo is a quality player, and would definitely take the RM for me. Jonas is far better on the LEFT anyway! Plus Zogs is offski and Duff is pony!

Better to be a mid table team than a bottom of the table team. Spurs are a joke and yet no one in the media seems to see it. They have spent more than we have in the past four transfer windows and they are still worse than us. Now that is tragic.

The thing with the injuries is that we’ve always been a sick note team. Who do we have has club doctor? Harold Shipman? Is the club barber Sweeney Todd? It seems to me that the players must be trying harder in training than they do on the pitch.
I’m always suspicious about so called training pitch injuries, it smacks of disagreements between team mates or players not wanting to play in the next game or the club not wanting them to play in the next game, so an injury is made up.
I don’t know what the heck happened to Guthrie, does he warm up properly?
