Newcastle Take Algerian Defender On Trial

Newcastle United are looking over yet another player today, as they take another defender on trial at the club.

ahmed-reda-madouni1

Ahmed-Reda Madouni – 28 year-old 6’3″ Algerian defender

He is former Borussia Dortmund defender Ahmed-Reda Madouni.

The 6’3″ 28 year-old Algerian has played for Montpellier HSC (48 times, one goal), Borussia Dortmund (77 times, 3 goals), Bayer Leverkson (37 times, 3 goals) and is now playing at Al-Gharafa, a Qatari football club from Doha. where he has appeared 18 times.

The defender has apparently started a trial with Newcastle at the club’s Benton training headquarters.

Another player from the German League, Peter Lovenkrands of Schalke 04, we found out today will be given a contract through the end of the season by Newcastle, and then the club asses his situation further in the summer, depending how well Peter plays.

Ahmed-Reda Madouni has played for the last two seasons on a lucrative deal with Al-Gharafa, but started his career in 1996 at Montpellier.

He has played twice for the Algerian natioanl side, and that’s about all we know about the player.

Comments welcome.

Don’t know him and don’t think we need him. 28 years old – prefer watching young Kadar in action.

bodies and competition for places is required. If Ahmed has a point to prove i’m prepared to give him the opportunity to do so.

This shows that NUFC never had any money available to spend and never will do under this prick!

I’m waiting for confirmation of the death of NUFC on 2nd Feb and then I’m cancelling my season ticket and will only return when he’s either gone or shows the same ambition as the fans!

Stuart – As much as I hate MA and that prat of a chairman – I cant bring myself to do that.

In the big scope of things I dont think MA will care as they easily sell tickets to, pains me to say, kids who dont have a clue about what is going on and still think MO can score a hatrick!

Our team need as much of us behind them until the end of may and then you can think again about it

We were spending imaginary money under Shepherd. This is in no was a defence of Mike Ashley but there would be no football club left the way Freddy was behaving.

Fat freddie was spending money that wasn’t there, if he was still at the club right now i don’t doubt we’d be in administration by now as the banks would be banging on the door looking for their money back

give the bloke a chance, who knew anything about bassong when he came on trial look how that has turned out. He has played for a couple of big teams and is a big lad and we need more height in the side. He won’t cost anything one assumes so very little to lose, the more players we can fill the squad with for now the better even if they are short term deals until the summer.

Remember where you heard this first.

Robiniho wont be coming back to this country to play for city again as he will be arressted at the airport!

Papers will break the shocking story as soon as they are allowed. City paying a lot of money to cover it up.

    RichK – agreed

Does anyone actually know anything about this lad at all? Don’t judge him yet.

A lot of decent players spend time in the Qatari/Middle East leagues so we might have a bargain on our hands.

    Well, here’s hoping! 🙂

Toon Greame – I’ll be still going till the end of this season but after that, that’s it for me!

It’s the only thing that will make him realise what he is destroying.

I sometimes see myself feeling that relegation might be a good thing in the long run as it might hasten his departure!

We have to get rid of him to go forward and the only way to do that is to show him we won’t be held to ransom!

He’s relying on our unswerving support. He’ll be thinking them geordies won’t stop coming whatever I do cos their stupid!!!!!

concetrate on beating man city with whoever weve got-when a team struggling fights for each other they become just that-a team! we all know it could be better but have faith til the windows shut at least-then kick off! lol-really we need to put one over man city to prove that splashin obscene amounts of cash doesnt knit a winning team! wouldnt it be funny tho-the whole country will be rooting for us bar the mackems! we went to man u and forced their hand-and everton and chelsea-and did we not beat villa? joe needs to re install the fight in the players-what were people saying again “seige mentality?” well the players and fans need to be aware the drops staring them in the face if they dont! thats motivation enuff in my eyes! cmaaaaaaan! haway the lads!

If you read the chronicle article about the scrap or whatever you call it between our very on Andy ‘Braided puncher’ Carroll and Charles ‘blabbering french git’ N’Zogbia, Kinnear says it was ‘passions’.

Which equals carroll took humbridge to the Zogs comments about wanting to be away from NUFC.

Thats my interpretation and could be wrong. Probably am – but you can just see them battling in the changing rooms and then in the car park.

Oh for something to appear on Youtube!

Since JFK has been here we have won 4 games out of 18!

If, by some miracle we get the results in the next 18 games we won’t even get 40 points!

Baring in mind that we have Man U,Arsenal and Chelsea at home, we have to go to Villa and Liverpool it’s not looking great!

If we don’t improve our squad this window I think not only will we be relegated I fear we may finish bottom of the league!

It’s serious now and whatever we do as fans, if we turn up every game and cheer our hearts out, the fact is the players aren’t good enough.

We have been on a steady decline now for 3 yrs and Ashley’s complete in-action has really speeded the process up!

Robhino left Man City’s training ground to celebrate his birthday in Brazil. This crap about rape or assault is only in super.troupers mind.

Robhino was told he wasn’t allowed to leave, but he did anyway. When he was caught out he said he thought Hughes said it was ok for him to leave. It wasn’t and he will be fined £300k, which is two weeks wages.

We should never be envious about Man City’s money. Look what they signed, players who are a level above mercenaries, I don’t even know what word to use to describe these kinda players.

As for this Algerian defender, it really put things back into perspective. I do believe the club doesn’t have any money to spend. If not, why are we constantly linked with trialists and loanees?

mickeytoon- i will remind you of what you said when the story breaks.

Hitman- 2 mancity sites have already had to ban there members from discussing the incident after man city contacted the website owners who have pulled all mention of the story.

Other city players were involved but not mentioned but i would guess at jo and elano.
