Kinnear Talks To Carroll And N’Zogbia

The Evening Chronicle is reporting today that Joe Kinnear held a private meeting between Andy Carroll and Charles N’Zogbia, and has tried restore some unity by placing both N‚ÄôZogbia and Carroll on the same team in training. Well another way to look at that is to stop them clashing again by being on opposing sides. ūüėÄ

Andy Carroll – looks the part for Newcastle

Joe Kinnear knows that he needs both stars for the long and tough battle ahead, and both are almost certain to feature in the trip to Manchester City next Wednesday.

We have top hope that Joe’s abilities of getting the best out of players, and getting good team spirit amongst the players can be seen next Wednesday, because it’s vital that we try to get something out of that game, and now end up with yet another defeat.

Any hopes of off-loading Cameroon midfielder Geremi appear dead in the water today for the United manager, since it looks like Besiktas have dropped their interest and it is unlikely the Turks will renew it during the current window.

But this isn’t bad news for us because Geremi is a better player than he’s given credit for, and we want players at the club who want to stay here, and fight for the Newcastle cause.

But it looks like Geremi is not a player Kinnear admires, and we would expect him to be sold in the summer, although a good run of form maybe could change Joe’s mind before the end of the season.

At the very least Geremi is a very good squad player, but of course he’s also one of our highest earners, and probably not worth the wages we are paying him.

We expect Geremi to join Viduka and Smithy as other high wage earners who will not be at the club next September.

Comments welcome.

That would also include Barton and Duff?

I can understand that we must lower our wagebill but to every price..

Good move Kinnear btw. The fight between these two has been writen all over the press, even in Sweden, about them wanting to meet up and take the fight were no teammates can separate them. Not good for the name of Newcastle United!

Why would anyone wants to offload Smith as i believe he’s got so much left and neva been given a proper continuous run in HIS position i.e. a forward…Ed always seems to impose his opinion abt Xisco as well …give them a chance…

Toonkistan, I for one would like to give Smith a last chance. But I cant see him given a chance in the attack with Owen, Martins, Viduka, Caroll and (hope not) Ameobi ahead of him.

I would like to see him in the defensive midfieldrole, given Barton more space to move forward.

Toon Sweden77 – Duff yes, Barton no. Barton is more than capable of doing a job for us for years to come. Duff is way past it. Smith – some could argue he deserves another chance although he’s not exactly done anything to date so whether or not he’s a good use of all those wages is another matter.

One thing about Geremi that I just can get over. The fact he cant take a set piece for S**t.

Sometimes he is terrible. Danny can be just as bad with his corners too.

I want Smith to come back and really give 150% for the toon. No more soflty softly tactics anymore.

We need fast, accurate passing, shots and runs on goal, fast a hell back tracking and a defense that keeps it tight. I dont mind leaking a goal – IF we bloody well dont collapse like we did on Blackburn.

JFK knows this and only hope we can use the 4 – 3 – 3 formation. Problem with JFk 4 4 2 is that the opposing team can study and train on how to deal with it.

Citey will either gan a guns blazing or have the mindset that we are a push over and rubbish and therefore let their guard down. Eg Spuds and Burnley. (big ask like)

CELTIC outcast Bobo Balde has become a shock target for struggling Premiership side Newcastle. The 33-year-old hasn’t kicked a ball in anger at Parkhead this season and with his contract set to expire in June, Newcastle could move now. (The Herald)

this is the mistake that Allardyce did by playing him down right & left and even in middle where hes of no use …he will be a far better target man than Carrol and Shite Ameobi …

I agree Bmore, he did a competent job at RB when played there for Chelsea, and I am told he plays there often for Cameroon. I would also like to see Smith given a chance, he has an excellent pedegree and didn’t do bad when played in midfield by Manyoo. Not sure if he is up to the job of playing as a forward but I feel he does have a role to play.

Played out of desperation really..not so much on merit or quality.

Aye, so far as using up loadsa wages without doing a job is concerned, Geremi has to be the biggest culprit. Viduka and Smith through injury are also culprits, as is Duff through, well – through being rubbish really. Barton I suppose you could include as he’s been missing for much of this season for one reason or another, but he’s got his best years just round the corner.

    Nice attitude sirjasontoon.

We need to support the team, not create an atmosphere in which players don’t want to play.

Needless to say we dont need the media attention from such demonstrations.

So please take your head out of your ar$e. Demonstrations are not going to make any difference. Yes we are in the brown stuff, and nobody likes it – but to have moronic goon’s on SSP news with the banners and chanting is not going to solve anything.

It will only pi$$ MA off, who may stop supporting the cash flow, but off any potential new investors and possibly any new players/managers etc.

    Sir J,

Afternoon fella. Not sure on Carroll either. It was good Geordie boy does good and gets a goal, but he aint no Shearer (yet – if ever).

Cant wait for Oba to get back on the pitch. Im miss the foot stamping and cursing when his move goes t*ts up + he can run like hell at the defense which I like to.

Ameobi – why did we sign a player on a sick note????? I would have waited til later when he was playing. Not as if anyone has / would come looking in the window and we had til the end of the season. He BETTER get us goals or assists when he is back!

sirjasontoon……its people like you who shout shit at st james and go on parade like a bunch of fannies when a manager walk out on them…..stuff like protesting doesnt help matter and really does alot to the players morale. i still blame the revolt after keegan left as one of the main causes of the clubs current state

Toon Graeme – I can’t believe Ameobi was offered a new contract just because he scored a couple of goals in matches where he played average at best.

I hate having a go at the lad because he’s obviously a massive toon fan and keeps trying his best, but he just does not have, and will never have the ability to play consistently in the Premier League!

On topic – I hope Carroll knocked ten tonnes of s%1t out of Zog.
