Ebondo – Newcastle Are Good Team With Great Players

It’s been hard to find any good news surrounding Newcastle United today but Toulouse right-back Albin Ebondo has said he knows that Newcastle have players like Owen, Butt, Geremi, Viduka, Martins and so they are a good team with great players.    😀

Albin Ebondo – Newcastle have some great players

Albin Ebondo has revealed he would relish a move to Newcastle United, but to Kinnear’s annoyance the deal is taking a lot longer to tie up than he had been told last Monday.

The Toulouse defender is currently in talks with Newcastle officials in France with the right-back and Newcastle hoping to come to an agreement very soon, becasue form what we can tell this lad is very good, and would be a good sionging for the club.

The two clubs are yet to agree a fee, which they’ve been haggling over for about a week now, and the £3M-rated right-back has said he would be very pleased to join Newcastle United:

“I am flattered by the interest shown by Newcastle for me.”“I have always been ambitious.”

” I want to join the Premier League, which is for me the biggest league in the world.”

“My dream is for the two clubs to agree a fee, however if he does not happen it is not the end of the world.”

“I know some Newcastle players, not personally, but because they are popular players such as Owen, Butt, Geremi, Viduka, Martins.”

“So they are a good team with great players.” “If the manager wants me, that means I can add something to the team.”

“I think there is some details to put together, but nothing is done yet, but it is not far. That is my feeling.”

From what we hear, Albin is on the verge of being called up for the full France squad, so he looks a good player in the making.

But if we get Albin through the door, who else will be arriving?

It looks like Given and N’Zogbia may be on their way, and Owen and Barton are out though injury for at least a couple of months.

We’d like to see at least another 3 players in addition to Albin, and we shouldn’t let Charles go until the summer, if we have any sense.

But at this late stage in the transfer window, we’ll take as many good players as we can get into the club before Monday afternoon.
Comments welcome.

Act quickly please!! Agree a fee for Ebondo and Mbia, sign! And take Saviola on loan. Complete the Given to City transfer and take Johnson, Onuoha and Richards in part xchange and swap N´Zogbia with Kim Källström from Lyon!

Jisses… if only I had been appointed ahead of Wise.. 🙂

Come on guys, he’s angling for a move to the Prem – do you think any decent player’d want to join us and run the risk of playing in in a lower division?

I, like pretty well all that post on this site have beome sorely disillusoned at events over the season. Sad, very very sad!!

Cant help wondering what the board is doing at the moment?

Wise negotiating with City over Given, JFK doing buisiness with Toulouse over Ebondo, Mike counting cash and Derek Llambias still taking his morningshit, reading the morningpaper and has the cooffey still warm

Kinnear has been lied to and obviuosly has no idea what is going on at the club, but does anyone think that Wise could be a victim of this as well? Maybe even Llambias doesn’t really know what is going on while Ashley contstantly changes his mind regadring transfer budgest etc!

lesh – at the moment I couldn’t care less. We need bodies through the door and if this kid is just using us as a stepping stone to show the top three what he can do, then fine by me. I’ll worry about the consequences when we get out of this mess.

A Citeh fan I know says they are waiting ’til last moment to make a cash offer to Toon that will be acceptable – £8 -10 Million. This is to avoid NUFC’s request for cash + player deal as they do not wish to let Johnson or Onuouououh leave. Cashley will pocket the dosh and will be able to say that it was too late to add to the kitty.

Provided Kinnear is guaranteed the funds from the sales I’d take £8m for Given and £7m for N’Zogbia as touted in the press this morning.

Get Appiah (free & on trial at Spurs)
    M’Bia £8m
Offer N’Zogbia in a swap for Bent at Spurs.
If that’s knocked back sell N’Zogbia to Lyon for £6m and tell them we’d take Fred as part of the package as he’s out of contract at the end of the season and being only 25, still has his best years ahead of him.

At this point, if I was Joe, Id sit Charles down and explain to him that we just cant afford to let him leave at this point with so many injuries, but if he stays professional, and does his talking on the pitch for the rest of the season, he will be guaranteed a transfer in the summer providing he still wants to leave. I think Charles would understand our situation, and if hes got an ounce of passion towards the club or supports, he’ll man up and do us a job. Half a season is hardly going to change his career considering hes only 22. But he has to understand, anymore gobbing off to the media or causing trouble will result in him being left with a hefty fine.

I think if we sign Ebono, he and Bassong might beable to talk him into staying till the end of the season to. We can talk smack about him all we want now we know he wants to leave, but hes clearly one of our best players, and with Owen and Martins out, I think our best chance of getting goals is using him and Jonas to provide from the wings for Carroll and Shola. Mabeys Xisco if hes given a change.

I remember Fred when he first broke onto the scene and he scored a cracking goal against England. He’s a really good finisher, only problem is he’d have to create his own chances with the way our team’s playing at the minute.

We’re desperate for central midfielders – think that’s our major problem position and why our centre halfs are exposed so much – they have no help from in front of them. When we have the ball, Nicky Butt is always standing on top of them wanting a 5 yard pass! Guthrie is the same! You’d think they’d never heard about playing in the other teams half!!
