Wigan Offer £6M For Charles N’Zogbia

Wigan Athletic have launched a bid for Newcastle United midfielder Charles N’Zogbia.

Charles N’Zogbia – £6M bid – should Newcastle take it?

That may have been the reason why he did not travel with the Newcastle squad yesterday, although the official news that he is injured is hard to believe.

This lad has been complaining about Newcastle all month, not to mention his frequent outbursts about wanting to leave the club since he joined from Le Havre in August, 2004.

And he has told anybody who will listen that he wants to join whichever club is said to be interested in him.

Newcastle manager Joe Kinnear admits he’s keen to raise funds for his own signings and The Sun says that Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce is offering £6M for the Frenchman.

Aston Villa have also been reported interested in the player although Arsene Wenger has dismissed any interest Arsenal may have in the player, but that doesn’t stop the reports that Arsenal are interested in him continuing.

They were presumably keen on the lad a couple of years ago but not now.

Maybe Aston Villa and Wigan can get in a bidding war for him to increase the price – that would be good.

We’d be happy to see Charlie get out of Toon, because we don’t like whiners (whingers), which he no doubt is, but Joe has to make the decision if he can replace him before the Monday deadline.

The last thing we want to do is what we did in August, when we sold James Milner to Villa, said we’d replace him, but then dropped the ball.

But we half suspect the reason he got kicked up in the air by Andy Carroll in training recently, is that the 6’4″ local lad cannot stand whiners either – who also bad mouth the club.

But that’s just a hunch.

Comments welcome.

I’d take it, but Wigan didn’t bid, tabloid rubbish.

‘But we half suspect the reason he got kicked up in the air by Andy Carroll in training recently, is that the 6?4? local lad cannot stand whiners either – who also bad mouth the club.’

By all accounts N’Zogbia pumped Carroll, not the other way around.

After all that griping about wanting to join a big, ambitious team who would challenge in europe, it would be poetic justice if he ended up in Wigan!

9.06 Lyon striker Fred’s brother and agent has accused Harry Redknapp of lying after the Tottenham Hotspur boss claimed the Brazilian failed to turn up for a meeting. The player’s representative has also confirmed that he will no longer consider a move to Spurs.

He is better than 6M I think between 8-10M and I think he will do well too, if he can accept going to Wigan and not AVL or ARS…

I can understand him though, granted he talks too much but like many players he has been let down by the club along with us supporters…

Lets not be too hard on the guy, he is a young foothballer with ambition and he has to think about his career cause when he is 32 it will probably be over if he does not get a career threatening chalenge (like most of the player currently in our squad) why is it that only Newcastle buy players which are broken before they even get on the field…

Didn’t we sign a player called Gonzalez on loan at the beginning of the season? I havn’t even seen him yet, whats he look like…

Let him go and lets face it Wigan are doing far better than we are at the moment.

He is know to the rest of the players as ‘big time’ . I was also told by a work colleague that his friend was the guy who took the photos at the last launch of the new Addidas kit and was appalled at Zog’s rude and surly behaviour.

Serious though the whole situation is, I canna stop laughing at Joke’s N’Somnia, priceless. It kept me awake till 4 a.m. this morning laughing!

Did anyone see JFK on SSN last night? Talk about a slip of the tongue, he referred to n’zogbia as n’sonia 🙂

ryan toon,. i nearly agree with you on something and thats not happened very often m8. ashley does need to sell asap and not at lunchtime on the 02nd……….however, thats only if you think he wants to re-invest the proceeds from the given zogs sale. i think he does not and will tie the deal up as late as possible on the 02nd just so he can turn aroudn and say ‘ well, we tried but due to the late sale deals coming throgh, its left us with not enough time’. you know this is true. also good to see you coming out and at last admitting we are doomed to the fizzy league and a bit of venom towards fat turd ashley too…………good to see!!

If Wigan getting £18m for Valencia I want £8m for N’Sobbier. But price is irrelevant unless we intend to spend it on players.

Cashley is a gambler and my take is that he will sell what players he can and buy nowt, then sit tight and hope there are 3 worse teams than us come the end of the season.

He will then hope to offload the club.

Shame, I’ve always liked n’zogbia, but fed up with his moaning now.

Don’t really need a direct replacement anyway for now. we have duff, geremi, jonas, lovenkrads, lua lua and some of the other youth players to cover the wings for now. if he does go we need 2 cm, 1 rb and a lb minimum (enrique defended quite well for most of the night but was at fault for swp’s goal)
