Newcastle Need To Get Albin Ebondo Signed Quickly

The Times is reporting today that Newcastle United are still confident of signing Toulouse right- back Albin Ebondo, before the transfer window closes in about 76 hours time, at 5:00 pm on Monday afternoon.

Abin Ebondo – Newcastle still very keen on player

Why this deal has dragged on since last weekend is beyond us, and of course Joe Kinnear said yesterday that Toulouse had raised their price from £2.5M to £3M, but he also seemed frustrated the deal was dragging on for so long.

But given the dire situation we are now in with our squad, with lots of our players out injured, you would have thought the Newcastle Board would have made an extra push yesterday to get Ebondo signed so he could play against Sunderland on Sunday – wouldn’t you?

Why are Newcastle making it look like it’s so very difficult to get players signed?

£500K is not the type the type of money that should be stopping Newcastle from bringing in a more than decent player to Tyneside, to strengthen our squad, and potentially keep us in the Premier League.

Please get this lad signed today.

I’m more concerned about getting Nolan signed ASAP so he can play in the derby.

We only have 1 other fit central midfielder.

While it does look like our boards again been poor in its transfer window dealings, the fact is we don’t really know what goes on do we?

These things are never straight forward and were not the only club finding it hard to get deals done, we sometime forget too, that we’re not really an attractive proposition for most players around.

If we get Nolan in, the ebindo character and a couple others it won’t be WOW but it’ll be something.

Certainly looking a little more promising today than it did a day or 2 ago.
