Joe Says No Deals Struck Yet For Given And N’Zogbia

Joe Kinenar has surprisingly admitted today that both the Given and N’Zogbia transfers are not as certain as they may seem, since the club have not acceptable bids for the players from Manchester City or Wigan Athletic respectively.

joe-kinnear-001

Joe Kinnear – looked terrible today

Once again we cannot take these reports about a deal being reached for Given with any reality, but we have been told that Given has been undergoing a medical at Manchester City while N’Zogbia has been linked with a deadline-day move to Wigan.

However, Kinnear has admitted that he is not totally confident of either deal being struck because neither club has put money on the table so far:

“There’s haggling going on at the moment. We’re still waiting to hear the fee,”

“We haven’t received an official offer for Shay (Given) and we’re still waiting for Charles (N’Zogbia).”

“The chairman is speaking to their representatives, so hopefully something can be done so that we can move on and get two more decent players into the club.”

“I’m confident that we’ll get those. But I’m not sure about the outgoing deals at the moment.”

We wonder if those two players include Ryan Taylor, but it looks like at least one other player is coming in, and we hope that is a defender, because our back line still looked too weak again today.

Newcastle should stand their ground on both players, because we don’t want to give our players away, and we can use both in the run-in to the league – even babyface N’Zogbia would be forgiven if he comes back – well at least until the summer.   😀

And talking about Joe Kinnear we have to say Joe looked terrible at the game today. He looked like he hadn’t  slept for a week, and the pressure was showing on him today, all over his face.

And he seems to have piled on a few pounds because of the enormous pressure he’s been taking all alone. That’s because the Board have been absent without leave, although now hopefully they will support Joe more, not that Ashley and Llambias were at the game today.

Let’s remember this man is doing everything he can to save the Newcastle club, and we think it unfair, to say the least, when our own fans turn on him, and don’t give him a break.

The Newcastle fans were just great today, and the lads gave it all they had in the second half, and they deserved the great support they received.

We unashamedly ask all Newcastle fans to support the players and Joe through the end of the season, and if the fans can become the 12th man for the team, we’ll have a decent chance of surviving.

But please give Joe a break, whether you love him or hate him. For goodness sake, he’s only human.

Comments welcome.

    Top Priorities:
    Striker – Bent – 10m
    Midielder with craft
    Winger – Khightley – 5m
    Full back – Not Desperate

I Reckon we could be gettin a man city player as part of the deal which is why it’s taking so long. Maybe Johnson or that defender. I’d take Dunne over Colo like.

Ashley and Llambias were both at the game today. And as much as everyone will be desperate to hate him, Enrique had a very good game today, as did Gutierrez. Carroll did well but its Ameobi somehow being in the right place for all the chances, if he could learn to finish we’d have a dangerous player on our hands.

Finally, I’ve always stuck up for Butt due to work rate but today he was absolutely dire, the majority of his passing was horribly wayward, Guthrie/ Barton and Nolan should be far better when available. We do need someone like M’Bia and another striker though.

How can in one breath he be sying that he hopes the deals go through so he can buy two other players and then say in the same breath that he’s confident that the two incoming players will be coming but he’s not too sure on the ones leaving!!!

    It’s just typical JFK

I’d be happy if the two that came in was Ryan taylor & Darren Bent. We could play Taylor out wide & play Stevie Taylor at RB until we can get some wingers in summer. Please drop Duff Joe he is WANK!!!!

Hes the master and confusion. Good or bad?

That makes me think though – if no fee is agreed then where is Shay and why is he having a medical?

Gonna be an interesting 22hrs and 49 mins.

Wouldn’t mind a bit if Shay stayed, would be delighted, but there’s still no reason why we shouldn’t buy more players.

i agree with some of the comments on previous pages regarding Jonas. His final ball was pretty average today.
However every single attack went through the lad he was starting to look tired in the final third.

I have for a while now had serious issues with duff!
    1. never on the wing ( wandering all over the place looking for the ball)
2.runs the ball in dead ends constantly and ends up passing the ball backwards
    3. terrible crosser of the ball

We were so one dimensional either defence to jonas or defence midfield then jonas. there was no variation from the right hand side. Dont get me wrong jonas is a top player and worked his arse!

I know Steven Taylor has his critics but he had a good game tonight he is good on the ball and likes to go forward if we had a proper winger on the right we would be dangerous to match the left side.

Final thought Enrique !!! First half performance wow top draw. Second half same old. If only he could recreate that form more consistantly

What ever happens I will be glued to SSN and the internet and here.

This is my thinking on relegation.

Before Shola hit goal by the pen. The emotion nearly spilled out and could have cried.

That for me has never happened ever. Thats how much I am emotionally charged this season.

The release when he scored was just Euphoric.

    Anyone else feel this way.

Relegation – I will cry like a bitch!

Wigaz post 8 spot on with Richard Dunne mate, he’d be a good signing. I’d prefer Robinho like. Well, i think we need a midfielder with good attacking skills and craft. Hopefully Elano will not be it. He;s a Zog waitin to happen.

It wouldn’t be right for Shay to come back and take harper’s spot though, as much of a legend Shay is 🙂

Cheers Chicken. I just dont think Colo’s head is right at the minute & we cant afford to have that we need a no nonsense CB & Dunne or McManus are the one/’s for me. I really hope Spurs take keane back so we can get Bent think he;s destined to be a Toon legend you could see him gettin in to that illustrios 100+ club. Comon Darren leave that Shite club & used car salesman twat of a boss & come be a legend.

I think we need a RB & a CM more than anything right now. Taylor worked hard today and he dived shamefully for the team, but he’s not very good at the end of the day.

I’m worried a bit about Colocini recently too, but we’ve got Taylor & Edgar for cover there.

No natural right back and no good CM cover…

almost feel bad for Kinnear watching that interview–he seems lost & borderline senile…

I also think he just makes stuff up on the fly when he talks to the press, so you never have any idea what he’s going to say. Indeed, neither does he!

I must admit that i like this way ouf doing the transfers and i’m ready to be suprised tomorrow.
