Joe Kinnear has talked today to the local Sunday Sun and has admitted this is the most turmoil he’s ever had to deal with in his football management career,
Well Joe did want the challenge that is Newcastle United. 😀
Joe Kinnear – most turmoil he’s ever had to deal with
Joe talked to the Sunday Sun today:
“Is this the most turmoil I’ve ever experienced at a club? Yes, I’d have to say so,”
“On the outside I may seem quite relaxed, but not on the inside. On the inside, it’s really, really tough.”
“Of course I’m feeling the pressure. This is the biggest game of the season. This is one game I really wanted to win.”
“It never comes easy. Whatever happens on Sunday someone will find a negative side and I’ll have to take it.”
“I can only deal with the cards I’m dealt, but people aren’t interested in what team I can put out — or that I’ve got 10 players out — only the result. Simple as that.”
“I’ve just got to take whatever comes my way.”
“I would be surprised if Sunderland didn’t think there was a great chance to do the double over Newcastle, particularly when they see the players that are out.”
“We’re without both our top goalscorers, and Shola Ameobi trained for the first time on Friday.”
“Alan Smith, Oba Martins or Shola might get 20 minutes each if they are on the bench. But there’s no chance they’ll start.”
Hey, let’s get behind Joe and the players today, it’s a hard enough job for Joe to have taken on.
And to also have the Newcastle fans on his back makes it that much more unbearable for the fighting Irishman. After all he’s on our side, after all.
A win today, and Joe will be able to have a good sleep tonight, especially if Insomnia has gone.
