Joe Kinnear has come out and called a spade a spade.
Charles N’Zogbia – a big baby – but we already knew that
Joe talked about N’Zogbia yesterday and said he had told him to his face he was a big baby:
“I just think Charles needs to grow up. He’s a big baby — and I’ve told him that to his face,”
“He says some of the most ridiculous things,” “I don’t think he understands what he’s saying half the time.
“He needs to focus on his football, not all the outside things that go with it that twist his head.”
Good advice from Joe, who’s of course been through the mill as a successful player – but let’s not overdo it, well at least not until Steve Bruce signs the lad.
Steve is no fool, and we don’t want to bad mouth the lad too much – well at least not right now. 😀
But he is a big baby, and Charles has embarrassed himself as he pronounced that Wigan had bigger ambitions than Newcastle.
We refuse to criticize Wigan, because it’s a smashing little club, with a great Chairman and a very good Geordie manager, and the club has made great strides since local millionaire David Whelan purchased the club in 1995.
But few would argue it has the history or legacy of Newcastle United – except Charles of course.
But we want men to fight the Newcastle cause against relegation, not babies, so we’ll be quite happy to see Charles move on from the Tyneside club, which by the way gave him his big chance in the Premier League.
With our two players leaving, Given and N’Zogbia, there couldn’t be much more of a difference between the character and professionalism of the two players – as Given is the model of professionalism.
Comments welcome.

Comment #5Toonoholic – that’s spurs though. When they implode financially at the end of the season having spent enough money to buy Belgium we can laugh at them. Anyway, Ashley wouldn’t start coming back to games unless he had SOMETHING up his sleeve.

Comment #10toonoholic… 8 hours to go right?, as far as i know the window closes 5pm.
Anyway as i also wrote you on the other thread, Quaresma is a bad buy by spurs. He is not what they need and i would rather have him line up against us than either Bentley or Lennon.

Comment #11I would have liked Davies from Bolton… I dont think it can happen this close to deadline with him being their new captain and all… He would be great with Oba tho

Comment #12Terrible line Ed, I would maybe change it, someone might pick up on that as racist, you mean he calls a ‘spade a shovel’ to get it away from its racist origins.
We must keep this player, we need his goals and assists/link ups to Martins, now we have sold Milner only NZogbia is dangerous on goal.
Liverpool have 15 goals from their midfield, if we could get 10 imagine how much further up the table we would be. Duff and Jonas arent scoring the goals, Zog does when he is played.
We cannot keep getting rid of goalscorers, Milner, Nzogbia and Sibierski (who was a midfielder played as a striker) and replacing them with players who do not score.
I like the Nolan purchase, I do not like the Zog sale when we are so close to relegation it could come down to two goals if it does we know what cost us, Milner and or Zog.

Comment #19Lennon is crap, Jonas is better, Lennon loses it when close to the goal, I cannot believe that Liverpool want him, they must be mad if it is true.
To weak and flimsy, weak on goal.

Comment #26ian… If someone picks up on that as racist, then they are looking for it… Everyone knows the expression, to call a spade for a spade and a shovel for a shovel… Its kinda like those tv shows in USA were everyone boo’s when someone wants to ask a question to “that young black kid over there”… Yet no one raises an eyeborw when someone wants to ask a question for “that white boy over there in the middle”… We all have colour and its not a thing to be embarresed about, but all this racist whitch hunt has gone way to far, everyone has to twist and turn their every sentence with great care these days… Its a discussion for another site tho.

Comment #27ian…..CHHHHIIIILLLLL OOOUUUUTTT!! Political correctness gone mad! Racist my arse! It’s an age old saying, meaning that someone isnt holding back on their description of someone, and they are telling it exactly how it is. Only people looking for racist undertones would see that as Ed trying to imply that N’Zogbia is as ‘black as the ace of spades’. Absolutely ridiculous.

Comment #29ian… If Lennon just works allot on his crossing then his an abosolute great winger… I cant think of many who can get to the byline as often as him during a game… I wouldnt want him for his arrogance and attitude tho, he reminds me of a certain Zog.
