Ryan Taylor Signs For Newcastle – Official

The Newcastle United club have reported they have completed the signing of Wigan Athletic utility player Ryan Taylor with Charles N’Zogbia heading in the other direction.

Ryan Taylor – another terrific signing for Newcastle United

The 24-year-old has signed a four-and-a-half year deal at St. James’ Park and will wear the No.16 shirt for Newcastle United.

And a delighted Taylor told nufcTV:

“It’s fantastic. This is a massive opportunity for me and I can’t wait to get started.”

“You only have to look at the game against Sunderland and the Newcastle fans to realize why I have signed for the club.”

Great comment by Ryan, and he wants to come to Newcastle, and those are the only players we want at the club.

Liverpool-born Taylor began his career at Tranmere Rovers and scored 19 times in 122 outings for the Wirral-based club.

A £750K move to the JJB Stadium followed in 2005 where he netted seven goals, four against United, in 73 appearances.

Ryan can play ion either full back spot and on either wing, he has a terrific free kick, and he has a very good long throw in – and those are just a few of the reasons Newcastle have got a very good player into their squad.

And with all our injuries, Ryan will be very useful by being able to slot into many different positions, and he’s going to get a lot of games for Newcastle, that’s for sure.

No word yet on the money involved, although The Mail reported this morning it was £8M and Taylor for Charles, but that sounds a little high.

A great signing – no doubts at all!

We welcome Ryan Taylor to Newcastle United – and we are simply delighted to have him at our club.   😀

Good, about time. At least we have signed someone! Nice touch of Zog to give £ to Bobby;s charity. Though doesn’t undo any of the previous damage.

What next? More signings or none?

    Great!!!

Now we’ve got 12-14 million pound profit from this transfer window and a few from last summer, hmmmmm……. something doesn’t sit right if none of that money gets re-invested spent. I like Nolan and taylor but I think we might have taken a step back in quality by selling given and n’zobia and only getting them two in.

in my eyes i dont think we have been working on taylors deal today
i think it was a done deal at the match but zog decided to wait a bit, hense the fact that ryan taylor had been takin pics in the tunnel
i think they are trying to get other deals done

Keane back to Spuds – 28 games at L’pool and out the door. Mad or what?

So they have Pavlyuchenko, Keane, Defoe and Bent. Room to let one go? Even while Defoe is injured? mmmm

We need to get a striker in like asap! lets just hope it’s a domino effect spurs waiting to tie up keane before we can sign bent! I can see them cashing on him now keane is back. Would love us to roll out Johnson Bent McManus Commons. That would do for me.

Now let’s get Fox in, a pacy winger and maybe a couple of loans (with a view to a permanent summer deal) in central defence, central midfield or attack and we can view the window as being quite successful.

    @toooooonfan

I think the ‘big news’ Ashley was talking about was that after the window shuts wobbly eyes will be out of work – and if thats where the spare cash from Given, Milner, Zog transfers goes Ill settle for that!
