Charles N’zogbia took another dig at Newcastle manager Joe Kinnear yesterday, and it’s good we are rid of this little French trouble-maker.
Joe Kinnear – not the first manager bemused by Frenchman
We don’t like players who talk about bad things once they leave the club – Shay Given excepted – which was a special case.
And we don’t think Wigan fans or even Steve Bruce will be happy with the way Charles, who is a star in his made up up world, has criticized Kinnear.
We always think that once he leaves Wigan, he ‘ll have some parting shot at somebody from Wigan, at that time. It doesn’t show strong character, that’s for sure.
Just look at the way Noland and Ryan Taylor handled their moves, not one bad word to say at all about Bolton or Wigan.
This just doesn’t reflect well on the character or maturity of N’Zogbia.
N’Zogbia said:
“Newcastle needs someone who can control the club properly… on the management. Steve Bruce controls everything at Wigan and that is what you need.”
“If you go into a club and you don’t know who is in charge it’s not good. You need someone who is in charge.”
“I played at Everton, I started and lasted the whole game. It was an international break afterwards and I was away for a week.”
“When I came back I was on the bench and I did not play for two or three months. I thought: ‘What’s going on?’ But he did not explain. He talks to some players but not everyone.”
“There was no conversation with the manager. When you are young you need someone to talk to, tell you what to do, what’s good and what’s not. When you have no relationship, you move on.”
The best thing for me was to go.”
He’s been trying to get out of Newcastle for a while and said at one time he wanted to move to London to be near his family. But his family are not in London, but that ploy had worked for Kieran Dyer, when he moved about 18 months ago to be nearer his girlfriend in Ipswich.
Apparently Charles was told by a friend that Joe had called him Charles Insomnia on TV, which of course is a nickname that will probably stick with him for the rest of his career – good.
Charles said:
“I was at home and a friend rang to say: ‘Have you seen what the manager has said on TV?”
“I watched it and I took it as some kind of insult. I wasn’t playing, we were not even talking. I just felt that he did not respect me. What’s the point in playing for him?”
“It’s not about forgiving, I can forgive, it’s not a problem. If he did that on purpose to make me unhappy I don’t know why.”
How can anyone mispronounce the great one’s name – that’s almost a hanging offense.
However, Irishman Kinnear was not letting the baby get away with even more stupid comments and Joe was apparently fuming at N’Zogbia’s yesterday when he said:
“There was only one thing to do – send him to Wigan!” “It’s laughable really. He lived in a fantasy world and I told him that.”
“There was not a day when he didn’t add some Mickey Mouse story about a club that wanted him.”
“First of all, he came in and told me Arsenal wanted to buy him, then the next week it was Villa.”
“Then the next week it was Man U, then the next week it was Real Madrid, then the next week it was Lyon.”
“I checked out if any of these club’s wanted him and discovered they didn’t. I told him: ‘You are wasting my time and I don’t know why you are inventing all these stories’.
“So I said get your agent in and if you have something to say and it is cast iron, then I will definitely let you go.”
“He needs bringing down to earth. He lives in a fantasy world. There is no denying he is a good player.”
“But you cannot be serious going in to see a manager once a week saying what he says. You have got to question whether his heart is in the club.”
As we’ve said before we want men at this club, not little babies who continually complain, like N’Zogbia did at Newcastle.
And there are biiger things for Newcastle fans want to concentrate on – like winning tomorrow at West Brom.
Newcastle is well right of him – over to you Steve Bruce.
The good news is that he should be able to understand your Geordie dialect, since he’s been on Tyneside for over four years.
We’ll give him a at most a year, before he’s in your office saying Alex Ferguson wants to sign him, and is fighting with Arsene Wenger for his services. 😀
Comments welcome.

Comment #1Everyone including Joe should forget about this lad. All these stories in press by Shay and INSOMNIA are not good for Newcastle. Lets just get together and win a match on SAT. Thats what we need now.

Comment #5I am afraid that there is something on it – what Charles said. He didn’t get real chance under Joe and let me say I think that he would be better than Daff was in last games. And a whole problem is that he didn’t plaz so he wanted to go somewhere else..that’s normal thing for me..
I don’t want to say that it is all JK fault but I think some strange things happend in NUFC recent days..

Comment #8I hate the way N’zogbia went about leaving, but when shay said what he said, the more believable N’zogbias storys become. I think he was annoying but he was a good player and I wish him well. Kinear on the other hand is f-ing rubbish. I’d go as far as saying Im not renewing next year if kinear and/or Ashley are at newcastle. If we manager to scrape by this season, what will next season be like!! No investment, a rubbish manager, and no Owen..

Comment #12Its funny how all these quality managers rated him but kinnear didnt. That says a lot about kinnears short comings as a manager. You can see why zog is upset but he should just keep his mouth shut now and get on with it.

Comment #15Can you imagine how bad this player must have been in the dressing room? sitting with a pet lip on bringing the other players down. Grow up charles it’s part & parcell of football being dropped. Think we’re well better rid & get positive players in like Nolan & Taylor. I mean did you see Nolan in the derby leading the huddle getting the lads reved up. Thats the type of players we need not winging lil babies. I hope Ryan taylor goes through him next time we play wigan.

Comment #21Unfortunately I am siding with Charles.
I can imagine that kinnear says nowt to anyone but Owen, Duff, Butt, Taylor and Shola. Or at least anything that resembles guidance.
You can tell just by the way Bruce talked about Charlie that its going to be a much better place to develop players. That warmth isn’t here at our club.
I think we’ve just lost a future star due to a pretty bad manager, by any standards.

Comment #22This guy is a racist. Pure and simple.
It was alright in the 80s when Milan did it. It was alright in the 90s when Real Madrid do it. But now because English clubs have the financial heavy weight it’s wrong. The financial situation of most Italian clubs is laughable at best and he isn’t threatneing them with Champions league exclusion.
Add to this, the fact that Lazio/Milan and Real Madrid are and have been funded by corrupt fascist governments for over fifty years and are followed by gangs of neo-nazi thugs that are nigh on agressive militia. But that doesn’t really matter does it.
When does this guys tenure at Uefa end? When does the fact that English football is at the forefornt of entertainment internationally become recognised and the governing bodies stand up for that? When does the apparent racism, obvious vindictiveness, jealousy and agression of Platini and his bum chum Blatter get condemned for what it is?
Pathetic jibes by bitter old men that could result in further exclusion of English clubs from world football.

Comment #25n’zobia is acting like a little kid, and i’m waiting for him to start slaggin wigans lack of ambition in the near future. As for WBA this weekend, if we lose i’d be inclined to say we’re going down, if we win we’ve still got a long way to go. With spurs playing Arsenal, blackburn playing villa, chelsea and hull, pompy and liverpool this is one of the best chances to get some points on the board while others drop!!! it’s more than a six pointer, a truley MUST win game.
Come on the Toon!!!

Comment #26Away from this lil french twat. How much are you guys looking forward to the return of Oba? I cant wait! he’s the man to pull us out the shite like! As much as Owen scores Oba’s all round play gives us that something special to unlock defence’s & i think that now in nolan we have a guy who can provide the defence splitting passes for Oba to start banging them in. Viduka could also be a huge player for us in this run in but i’d still pedal him the summer. Lets just hope that smith can rediscover form as well then hopefully we’ll be ok. What you guys think about a bid for Downing if the smog go down? good LW would fit in well with our team.

Comment #29I think maybe he’ll come back better than ever ryan now that owen is out he becomes the main man & i think he thrives on that. Mind you i heard Owen is back in 2 games time, but if it aint broke dont fix it if Oba & Carroll or Oba & Vids is working just leave MO on the bench. He’s going in the summer anyway so not as if it will make anything worse. Comon Oba save us mate! Ashton for Summer buy too!

Comment #34They say all prof footballers are like little kids and it is up to the manager to handle them. Unfortunatly we have a manager that is also a big kid.
JFK was out of order what he said about Zog he has also insulted Geremi and Xico two players that we could do with playing with our current injuries but no way will these 2 give 100% for JFK I wouldn’t.
poor, poor Joe I do feel sorry for him NOT

I think JK is pretty bad manager and that Charles left is just his fault.. Because if Charles would play more games he would’t left.. And I not surprised that he wanted to go – most time on the bench..
Charles will be a very good player once and JK damaged NUFC name in media talk with Charles, because now even less players would like to go to NUFC..
NUFC need normal owner and normal Manager..
